Abstract

Sustainable agriculture is a strategic approach that combines high productivity with the preservation of natural resources. In this context, agribusiness management plays a key role in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of agricultural production. The aim of this research is to discuss various agribusiness management strategies that can be implemented to support increased sustainable agricultural productivity. The main focus includes resource management, technology application, business diversification, and farmer capacity development. This type of research is qualitative with the research location in West Java. The research subjects consisted of farmers, agribusiness managers, agricultural extension workers, and agricultural experts who had experience and knowledge in the field of agribusiness. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research are that optimizing agribusiness management through efficient resource management, application of technology, business diversification, marketing strategies and farmer capacity development can increase productivity and sustainability of the agricultural sector. Support from multiple stakeholders is critical to expanding adoption of these practices. This research recommends increasing farmers' access to technology, training and markets to support the transition to more productive sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Catfish (Clarias batrachus) is a type of freshwater cultured fish that is quite popular with the public. However, with the abundance of fishery products in Indonesia, it is inversely proportional to the consumption of protein in Indonesian people who do not meet the Adequacy of Nutrition Standards. Cendol is a typical Indonesian drink made from hunkwe flour with incomplete nutritional content. In order to increase the fish consumption of the Indonesian people, the authors are interested in conducting research on the addition of catfish (Clarias batrachus) animal protein to the manufacture of cendol and its effect on the panelist's preference level and protein content. This study aims to determine the effect of adding catfish (Clarias batrachus) to the production of cendol on the level of preference and protein content. The research method used was an experimental method with 30 panelists and 3 treatments, the percentage of catfish meat was 20%, 30%, 40%. The parameters observed were hedonic scale sensory tests and cendol protein levels with the addition of catfish. The results showed that the addition of catfish meat in the manufacture of cendol had an effect on aroma, taste and texture. The best cendol according to consumer acceptance based on sensory tests of color, aroma and taste parameters was in treatment A (addition of catfish meat percentage of 20%), while the best texture was in treatment B (addition of catfish meat percentage of 30%). The catfish cendol had the best protein content in treatment C (addition of 40% catfish meat) which was 1.53%.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the types, abundance, and diversity index of plankton in the Sinyur Jamblang Dam, Warujaya Village, Cirebon Regency. Plankton is an important indicator for assessing the quality and productivity of a body of water. The research method used was an exploratory survey with purposive sampling at three stations: the inlet, the middle of the dam, and the outlet. Plankton samples were collected using a plankton net and observed under a microscope using a Sedgwick-Rafter Counting Cell. The results showed that phytoplankton were dominated by Chlorophyta (77%), and zooplankton were dominated by Zoothamnium (50%). The plankton diversity index (H') was 0.86, which is considered low, indicating the waters have low-moderate productivity. The highest phytoplankton abundance was recorded at 398,000 cells/L and the lowest at 102,000 cells/L. This study revealed that 21 genera of plankton were identified in the Sinyur Jamblang Dam, consisting of 14 genera of phytoplankton and 7 genera of zooplankton. Plankton abundance ranged from 81 to 1,488 individuals/L, with dominance by the class Chlorophyceae. The diversity index (H’) ranged from 1.3 to 1.9, which falls into the moderate category, indicating that the aquatic environment still supports plankton life.
