Abstract

Background: Dyslipidemia is a disorder of lipid metabolism that characterized by the increasing or decreasing lipid fraction plasma. A dyslipidemia may be caused by genetic, age, gender, nutritional intake and smoking habit. Lipid level abnormality is one of the risk factors for cardiovascular and metabolic disease. Management of dyslipidemia includes pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy that can be supported through nutritional counselling. Objective: The study is to know the effect of nutritional counseling on the behavior of dyslipidemia patients who received booklet and leaflet at Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital in Palembang. Design: The research design is a quasi-experiment with a pretest and posttest. The research was conducted on January until March 2019. The data analysis uses the Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney tests. Results: Wilcoxon test result shows that nutritional counseling in both groups equally gave effect to knowledge, attitudes and actions. Mann Whitney Test conducted on both groups of knowledge obtained p value of 0.274, the attitude obtained p value of 0.010 and the action obtained p value of 0.065. Conclusion: There was no difference between booklet and leaflet groups, to increase their knowledge and action, however there is a difference between booklet and leaflet groups to attitude improvement of booklet and leaflet groups, where leaflets influence more in increasing a better respondent attitudes to implement dyslipidemia diet.

Abstract

Hipertensi adalah suatu kondisi medis dimana tekanan darah Sistolik ≥ 140 mmHg dan Diastolik ≥ 90 mmHg. Hipertensi dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti kegemukan, konsumsi natrium berlebih, kurangnyaaktifitasfisik, merokok, konsumsi alkohol, faktor usia, jenis kelamin dan keturunan. Jika hipertensi tidak dapat dikendalikan maka hipertensi dapat menyebabkan gangguan fungsi ginjal, kardiovaskular, retinopati hingga kematian mendadak. Pengobatan hipertensi terdiri dari terapi farmakologi dan non-farmakologi. Terapi farmakologi efeknya hanya menurunkan tekanan darah sesaat sedangkan terapi non-farmakologi bertujuan menurunkan tekanan darah dan mengendalikan faktor risiko dan penyakit lainnya.Tujuan penelitian: Untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh pemberian smoothie Smatonis terhadap tekanan darah penderita hipertensi di Puskesmas Sekip Palembang. Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi ekperimen dengan rancangan penelitian pretest and postest with control group. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Januari-Maret 2019. Analisis data menggunakan uji t-dependen. Hasil uji statistik pada kelompok perlakuan didapatkan nilai tekanan darah sistolik dengan p Value = 0,000 (p ˂ 0,05) dan tekanan darah diastolik dengan p Value = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol didapatkan nilai tekanan darah sistolik dengan p Value = 0,160 (p >0,05) dan tekanan darah diastolik dengan p Value = 0,270 (p >0,05). Kesimpulan: Smoothie Smatonis dapat menurunkan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi di Puskesmas Sekip Kota Palembang.

Abstract

Prevalensi obes meningkat tidak saja di negara-negara maju tetapi juga di negara-negara berkembang seperti Indonesia terutama di kota-kota besar. Di Surabaya prevalensi obes pada remaja sebesar 6,5 %, Tanggerang 5,01 %, Yogyakarta 7,8 % dan Palembang 6,62 %. Dampak obesitas pada masa anak berisiko tinggi menjadi obesitas pada usia dewasa dan berpotensi mengalami pelbagai penyebab kesakitan dan kematian antara lain penyakit kardiovaskular, diabetes mellitas. Salah satu cara menurunkan prevalensi yang sederhana dan aman bagi kesehatan adalah berupa konseling gizi secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah konseling gizi dapat menurunkan berat badan pada anak yang mengalami overweight dan obes. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah survei dengan rancangan eksperimen semu tanpa kontrol kepada 46 orang selama 8 minggu. Sebelum dilakukan konseling gizi dilakukan skrining status gizi kemudian datanya diolah dengan Epi Info 2004 menggunakan referensi CDC 2000, data konsumsi diolah menggunakan Nutrisurvey. Dari hasil survei diperoleh anak yang mengalami overweight sebesar 9,45 % dan obes sebesar 6,25 %. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan komputer dengan tingkat kemaknaan 0,05 terdapat perbedaan rata-rata pada konsumsi dan berat badan sebelum dan setelah dilakukan konseling gizi (p<0,001). Perlu dilakukan konseling gizi secara berkala sehingga memperoleh hasil yang optimal.

Abstract

The increased prevalence of cardiovascular disease each year become a major problem in developing and developed countries. Based on data from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) in 2000, 50% of cardiovascular disease caused by hypertension. Diet and lifestyle that consume processed foods high in fat and low in fiber can lead to and increase the risk of hypertension. Thepurpose of this study to determine the relationship of eating processed foods with incidence of hypertension in the General Hospital Prabumulih 2012. This study is an analytic survey with crosssectional research design. The population in this study were all patients who seek treatment at an outpatient poly General Hospital Prabumulih in October 2011 were diagnosed with hypertension or not. Sampling technique in this study is accidental sampling. The determination of the samples using the formula (Lemeshow, 2002) the importance of the total sample of 89 people. Chi-Square Test results indicate that there is a correlation between age (p value 0.003), and a diet of processed foods (p value 0.007) and the incidence of hypertension. The type of materials processed foods are often consumed by the respondent is instant noodles, canned sardines, smoked fish, boiled fish, Rosep, shredded, salted eggs, salted fish, sausages, while fatty foods are often consumed tunjang. There isno relationship between sexes with the incidence of hypertension (p value 0.404). It is expected that health practitioners can improve education to increased public knowledge about healthy diet and hypertension, and motivate people to live healthier.

Abstract

Hypertension is a blood pressure exceeding 140 mmHg The systolic blood pressure and 90 mmHg for diastolic. Some people call it The Silent Killer . WHO estimates that hypertension causes one out of every eight deaths , which makes hypertension causes the third major killer in the world Report of the Health Research in 2010 , the prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia reached 31.7 % in the population aged 18 and over. This fact indicates hypertension to be one cause of illness in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the level of knowledge of nutrition, diet and dietary compliance with blood pressure in hypertensive patients in outpatient Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. This type of study is a survey of a cross sectional analytic approach . The population in this study were hypertensive outpatient in hospital Mohammad Hoesin Palembang . The data were analyzed using the chi-square test . The samples size in this study was 49. The results show ( 57.1 % ) of respondents male sex . A total of 89.8 % of the respondents including age groups at risk, as much as 67.3 % of respondents to normal nutritional status , 83.7 % of respondents did not smoke , 61.2 % of respondents did not have a history of hypertension, 44.9 % of respondents have a moderate knowledge level , 53.1 % often consume foods high in sodium , 57.1 % were not adherent to the diet. A total of 81.6 % had high systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure 77.6 % higher. The statistical test results obtained there is a correlation between high- sodium diet ( p = 0.008 ) , and dietary adherence ( p = 0.003 ) and systolic blood pressure.There is a correlation of high sodium diet ( p = 0.02 ) , and dietary adherence ( p = 0.005 ) and diastolic blood pressure .There is no correlation between with systolic and diastolic blood pressure .

Abstract

Status gizi merupakan salah satu indikator kesehatan anak dan unsur penting dalam membentuk status kesehatan. Masa lima tahun adalah periode penting dimana anak membutuhkan kecukupan gizi dalam tumbuh kembang anak. Status gizi kurang pada anak yaitu Wasting yang disebabkan oleh inadekuat nutrisi dan penyakit infeksi. Jenis produk pangan yang dapat menjadi makanan lauk hewani tinggi protein sebagai penambah nilai gizi untuk anak wasting adalah Nugget Tinggi Protein yang berbahan utama ikan patin.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian nugget tinggi protein terhadap peningkatan berat badan pada balita wasting usia 12-59 bulan di Puskesmas Taman Bacaan Kota Palembang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian pretest posttest control group design. Sampel berjumah 52 balita wasting yang dibagi dua kelompok yaitu intervensi dan kontrol dengan menggunakan metode simple random sampling.Analisis data menggunakan paired sample t-test dengan selisih rata-rata kenaikan berat badan kelompok intervensi 0,533 kg (p-value =0,000) dan kelompok kontrol 0,253 kg (p-value =0,000. Sedangkan hasil independent sample t-test adalah  p-value =0,000 bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian  nugget tinggi protein terhadap peningkatan berat badan pada balita wasting di Puskesmas Taman Bacaan Kota Palembang. Hasil uji multivariat <0,005 pada asupan protein, artinya asupan protein mempengaruhi peningkatan berat badan setelah diberi nugget tinggi protein.Kata Kunci             : Wasting, nugget tinggi protein

Abstract

Latar belakang: Anemia merupakan kekurangan sel darah merah (eritrosit), umumnya sebagai akibat dari kekurangan zat besi dari konsumsi makanan atau kehilangan darah yang berlebihan. Defisiensi lainnya yang juga dapat menyebabkan anemia, termasuk defisiensi vitamin B12 atau asam folat (anemia megaloblastik), vitamin E atau perdarahan/ hemorangi (anemia hemolitik). Kurma mengandung zat besi dan vitamin C yang tinggi dan dapat digunakan untuk pengobatan anemia. Vitamin C berperan dalam meningkatkan penyerapan zat besi. Selain kurma, air kelapa muda (Cocos Nucifera L) juga mengandung zat gizi yang dapat membantu pembentukan darah yaitu asam folat sebagai bahan pokok pembentuk inti sel hemoglobin. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jus Kurlapa yang berbahan dasar dari kurma dan air kelapa muda dalam meningkatkan hemoglobin penderita anemia pada remaja putri. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian pre-test and post-test without control group. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Januari-April 2019. Hasil penelitian diketahui rata-rata peningkatkan hemoglobin adalah 0,8600 g/dl. Hasil uji statistik (uji t-dependen) didapatkan nilai p value = 0.000 (p < 0,05). Kesimpulan: Jus Kurlapa berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan hemoglobin penderita anemia pada remaja putri di MA AL-Mu’aawanah Ogan Ilir.

Abstract

Background: Obesity is one of the diseases that experience an increase in prevalence every year. Diet arrangements low in energy and high in fiber can be done by obese people can carry out their diet. Goal : Make salviza instant cereal formula to be a good high fiber cereal drink for obese teens Method: This study is an experimental study using a non factorial RandomIzed Design (RAL) with 4 treatments. The study subjects were 25 organoleptic test panelists. Results : Based on the results of organoleptic test research (taste, texture, aroma and color) showed the preferred instant cereal salviza received is F3 with an average total receiving capacity of 16.56. The formula contains energy of 442.94 kcal (per 100 grams), protein 14.63%, fat 14.06%, carbohydrates 64.47%, water content of 3.83% and food fiber 9.84%. From the results of the analysis, the water content has not met the standards and fiber content of food is classified as high / rich. Conclusion : Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the addition of bran, chia seeds and green bean flour in instant cereals salviza can be used as an altefnative drink that is high in fiber to combat adolescent obesity. Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a medical condition characterized by an increase in systolic blood pressure> 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure> 90 mmHg on two measurements with an interval of five minutes in a state of rest / calm. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of giving Calissa Instant Cereal on Blood Pressure Reduction in Hypertension Patients in the Sukarami Health Center, Palembang. Methods: This study was a two-stage study consisting of a completely randomized non-faculty and quasi-experimental study with pre-test and post-test research designs with control group design. The study was conducted from January to March 2021. The number of samples was 30 people in the treatment group and 30 people from the comparison group who were taken by means of systematic random sampling. Results: The same number of respondents in the study were male and female (50%), with age> 50 years (50%) with normal nutritional status (53.3%). The mean reduction in blood pressure was 16.87 mmHg systolic and 12.27 mmHg diastolic. The results of statistical tests (t-dependent test) showed that there was an effect of giving calissa instant cereal on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients in the working area of ​​the Puskesmas Sukarami Palembang (p = 0.000). Conclusion: Calissa Instant Cereal has an effect on lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients in the working area of ​​the Sukarami Health Center, Palembang.

Abstract

Early-life chronic malnutrition causes stunting. In 2021, Muara Enim Regency had a 24.8% stunting incidence, which is still higher than the stunting prevalence in South Sumatra at 24.4%. This research aims to look into the factors contributing to stunting in the Muara Enim. The study's design was cross-sectional, with a sample of children aged 6-59 months living in the Rambang sub-district of Muara Enim Regency. There are 269 children under five were selected as samples using a stratified random sampling procedure. The chi-square test and multiple logistic regression analyses were utilized for data analysis. The findings revealed that five variables, including birth length (p=0.224 OR=1.684), exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.009 and OR=2.590), mother's height (p=0.028 OR=1.834), mother's education level (p=0.001 OR=0.488), and ownership of latrine (p=0.045 OR=0.470), had a relation with stunting incidence. According to the multiple logistic regression test result, the most influential variable associated with the stunting incidence was the mother's level of education, with OR=2.369 (95% CI OR=1.376-4.078), indicating that mothers with lower levels of education were 2.37 times more likely to have children with stunting than mothers with higher levels of education.
