Abstract

In the era of continuous change, strategic management for developing church members is essential in dealing with the existing dynamics. The research aims to analyze efforts to optimize the quality of congregational formation through strategic management of church community development at HKBP Cikini Jakarta. The research technique applied is a qualitative approach that focuses on natural research objects. The initial information collection method used was interviews. This research provides insight into the church facing growing challenges by paying attention to aspects of effective strategic management. The conclusion is that strategic management for the development of church members plays a role as a catalyst in facilitating congregational development through a holistic approach, including strengthening spiritual, organizational, and personal aspects. Through coordinated strategic management, the congregation can develop into a solid entity, providing mutual support and being active in the church's ministry mission, creating an inclusive environment for sustainable growth. Abstrak Dalam era perubahan yang terus-menerus, manajemen strategis pembinaan warga gereja menjadi kunci penting dalam menghadapi dinamika yang ada. Tujuan penelitian adalah melakukan analisis tentang upaya optimalisasi kualitas pembinaan jemaat melalui manajemen strategis pembinaan warga gereja di HKBP Cikini Jakarta. Teknik riset yang diterapkan adalah pendekatan kualitatif yang menitikberatkan pada objek riset yang bersifat alami. Metode pengumpulan informasi awal yang digunakan adalah wawancara. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan gereja menghadapi tantangan yang berkembang dengan memperhatikan aspek-aspek manajemen strategis yang efektif. Kesimpulan bahwa manajemen strategis pembinaan warga gereja berperan sebagai katalisator dalam memfasilitasi perkembangan jemaat melalui pendekatan holistik, termasuk penguatan aspek spiritual, organisasional dan personal. Melalui manajemen strategis yang terkoordinasi, maka jemaat dapat berkembang menjadi entitas solid, saling memberi dukungan dan aktif dalam misi pelayanan gereja, menciptakan lingkungan inklusif untuk pertumbuhan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Educational freedom in Indonesia faces significant challenges, including commercialization of education, unequal access, low quality of human resources, corruption, and economic conditions that limit access to quality education. Christian educational institutions play an essential role in realizing equal access and quality of education for all levels of society, regardless of social or economic background. Despite policies such as free education and infrastructure improvements, inequality remains a significant obstacle that has yet to be fully resolved. Strengthening collaboration between the government, church, and society is needed to overcome these obstacles, including strengthening Christian educational institutions' capacity, developing alternative education, and providing more inclusive financial support. These steps are expected to create a fair and equitable educational environment, allowing everyone to access quality education as a foundation for more inclusive and sustainable national development.

Abstract

The era of digital disruption has created substantial challenges for the integrity of Christian teaching, with the proliferation of divergent doctrines spread through social media platforms. This research analyzes teaching patterns in Paul's mission as represented in the Acts narrative to identify missiological models applicable to contemporary challenges. Using narrative analysis methodology, this study identifies three essential dimensions in Paul's teaching strategy: a progressive pattern of spatial movement from synagogues to public spaces to private settings; adaptive yet uncompromising contextualization of teaching for Jewish, Greek, and Roman audiences; and, the role of teaching as a catalyst for transformative community formation. The results show that Paul's missional success lay in integrating teaching with communal formation and cultural contextualization. This model offers a paradigm for contemporary churches facing digital disruption challenges, demonstrating the importance of comprehensive, contextual, and communal teaching for maintaining doctrinal integrity in the post-truth era..   Abstrak Era disrupsi digital telah menciptakan tantangan substansif bagi integritas pengajaran Kristen, dengan proliferasi doktrin menyimpang yang disebarkan melalui platform media sosial. Penelitian ini menganalisis pola pengajaran dalam misi Paulus sebagaimana direpresentasikan dalam narasi Kisah Para Rasul untuk mengidentifikasi model misiologis yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam menghadapi tantangan kontemporer. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis naratif, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tiga dimensi penting dalam strategi pengajaran Paulus: pola progresif pergerakan spasial dari sinagoga ke ruang publik ke lingkungan privat; kontekstualisasi pengajaran yang adaptatif namun tidak kompromi untuk audiens Yahudi, Yunani, dan Romawi; dan, peran pengajaran sebagai katalis pembentukan komunitas transformatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan misi Paulus terletak pada integrasi pengajaran dengan formasi komunal dan kontekstualisasi kultural. Model ini menawarkan paradigma untuk gereja kontemporer yang menghadapi tantangan disrupsi digital, menunjukkan pentingnya pengajaran yang komprehensif, kontekstual, dan komunal untuk mempertahankan integritas doktrinal di era post-truth.

Abstract

The elements in the management of education include elements of leaders, educators, educational staff , students and educational facilities as well as other supporters. All of these components are a unity that influences the quality of the learning process that can be seen from the success of students. The director as a leader at the Cirebon Maritime Academy has an influence on the creativity of educators, the work productivity of educational staff and the success of student learning. To find out the effect, survey research was conducted . Data collection techniques using documentation and questionnaire studies.The questionnaire was made in the form of a questionnaire with 5 alternative choices. Each alternative answers provided more aggressively weighted score of 1 - 5 (1 = strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = disagree, 4 = agree, and 5 = strongly agree ). Analysis of the data in this study consisted of (a) simple regression analysis; and (b) multiple analysis using statistical methods with the help of the SPSS 16 program. Regression analysis is used to predict research that includes variables X for Y1, Y2 and Y3. Simple Regression Analysis looks at Vaiabel Coefficients (Y1X) and (Y2X) and Y3X. This analysis is used to test the effect of each research variable. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded as a result of the research that the Leadership of the Director (X) on the Improvement of Educators' Creativity (Y1) is quite significant. The Leadership of the Director (X) on the Productivity of Education Workers (Y2) is also quite significant, and the results of the calculation of the influence of the Leadership of the Director (X) on Learning Success (Y3) are quite significant

Abstract

This study aims to find a strategy for modernizing the expertise of Christian faith teachers in the era of the information and communication technology system revolution and applying a qualitative approach based on literature analysis from relevant journals, books, magazines, and the internet. The study focuses on integrating technology in Christian religious education, which includes modernizing or improving teachers' technical skills, adapting the curriculum, and implementing innovative teaching methods. The study's results indicate that modernizing professionalism can be achieved through continuous training, self-study, and working together or collaborating with colleagues and other communities. However, this development process faces various challenges, both from within and outside. Therefore, support is needed from educational institutions, the government, and related communities. Thus, several things need to be done, including improving technological skills, updating the curriculum and teaching materials, innovative pedagogical approaches, continuing education and professional development, implementing ethical guidelines, needing synergy or collaboration and community support, and conducting periodic monitoring and evaluation. The researcher recommends conducting further studies, namely exploring modernization strategies from different perspectives.  AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan strategi modernisasi keahlian pengajar iman Kristen di masa revolusi sisten informasi dan teknologi komunikasi. Mengaplikasikan pendekatan kualitatif dengan dasar analisis pustaka dari jurnal, buku, majalah dan internet yang relevan. Fokus penelitian adalah pada integrasi teknologi dalam pendidikan agama Kristen, yang mencakup modernisasi atau peningkatan keterampilan teknis guru, adaptasi kurikulum dan penerapan metode pengajaran yang inovatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modernisasi profesionalisme dapat ditempuh melalui pelatihan berkelanjutan, belajar sendiri dan bekerjasama atau berkolaborasi dengan sejawat dan komunitas lainnya. Namun, proses pengembangan ini dihadapkan pada beragam tantangan, baik dari dalam maupun dari luar. Maka, diperlukan dukungan dari lembaga pendidikan, pemerintah dan komunitas terkait. Maka, terdapat sejumlah hal yang perlu dilakukan, antara lain: peningkatan keterampilan teknologi, pembaharuan kurikulum dan materi ajar, pendekatan pedagogis yang inovatif, pendidikan berkelanjutan dan pengembangan profesional, penerapan pedoman etis, perlu sinergi atau kolaborasi dan dukungan komunitas, melakukan pemantauan dan evaluasi berkala. Peneliti merekomendasikan untuk melakukan studi lanjutan, yaitu mengeksplorasi strategi modernisasi dari perspektif yang berbeda.

Abstract

Christian Religious Education (CRE) within the family plays a central role in shaping the attitudes of children aged 6–12 years. At the stage of concrete-operational cognitive development, children begin to understand values, rules, and role models instilled in everyday life. This study aims to analyze the strategies of Christian families in nurturing children’s attitudes through the teaching of Scripture, exemplary living, spiritual discipline, and loving communication. The research method employed is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings indicate that CRE in the family significantly contributes to the formation of Christian character in children, particularly in aspects of obedience, empathy, honesty, and responsibility. This article recommends that Christian families consistently practice faith-based habits and foster healthy relationships so that children’s attitudes grow in harmony with Christian values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the parenting patterns of Ambonese Christian parents, with a particular focus on the interaction between local culture and Christian faith. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving Ambonese Christian parents with school-age children. The findings reveal that Ambonese parenting is shaped by the cultural principle of pela gandong, which emphasizes solidarity, togetherness, and respect, as well as Christian values of love, discipline, and forgiveness. The integration of culture and faith results in a distinctive collective parenting model, where child-rearing is not only the responsibility of the nuclear family but also of the wider community and the church. The study also shows that faith practices—such as family prayer, Bible reading, and children’s involvement in church activities—play a significant role in shaping children’s spiritual identity. However, Ambonese Christian parenting faces modern challenges stemming from globalization, urbanization, and the influence of digital technology, which risk undermining traditional values. The relevance of this parenting model in the modern era lies in parents’ ability to adapt traditional practices to contemporary contexts through open communication, technology guidance, and collaboration with schools and churches. This study contributes to the literature on Christian family education in Indonesia by presenting a contextual parenting model rooted in both culture and faith.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the forms of adversity, adaptation strategies, and the role of teachers in Christian Religious Education for elementary school students during the COVID-19 pandemic. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that students encountered various types of adversity, including limited access to learning devices and internet connectivity, difficulties adapting to online learning, psychosocial challenges, and the loss of spiritual experiences typically gained in the classroom. Nevertheless, some students demonstrated resilience supported by family involvement, personal creativity, and teachers who acted as both academic facilitators and spiritual mentors. The study highlights the crucial role of Christian Education teachers in designing creative, interactive, and contextual learning while providing emotional and spiritual support to students. It recommends strengthening teachers’ capacity in digital literacy, online pedagogy, and psychosocial support to ensure that Christian Religious Education remains meaningful and relevant during crisis situations.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate an Integrated Character Development Design through a constructive library research approach by analyzing theoretical literature, national education policies, and empirical studies on character education practices in schools. The findings indicate that character education in Indonesia is strongly supported by the Character Education Strengthening (PPK) policy and the 2013 Curriculum; however, its implementation still faces challenges in integrating character values across all subjects, limited teacher competence, and difficulties in assessing students’ attitudes. The proposed model consists of three key components: (1) planning, by integrating character values into the curriculum and teaching plans; (2) implementation, emphasizing teachers’ role as role models, habituation, and reinforcement through co-curricular and extracurricular activities; and (3) evaluation, focusing on continuous assessment of students’ behavior and the overall school culture. This model is expected to serve as an adaptive guide for schools to integrate character education comprehensively and contextually.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the attitudes and behavior of fathers in guiding their children according to Ephesians 6:4. The main problem of this research is that many fathers in Christian families do not yet have attitudes and behaviors that are inconsistent with Bible principles in guiding children. The failure of the father in guiding the child has a negative impact on the development of morals, temperament and character. The research methodology used is descriptive analysis. Research data comes from various literature relevant to the research topic. The final findings of the research include theological patterns and perspectives that are useful for parents in mentoring. The conclusion of the research, namely: there are a number of attitude and behavior skills that must be possessed by fathers in guiding their children. Fathers must act and behave correctly in front of their children and become true idols. Therefore, gentlemen need to continuously improve their soft skills in order to become reliable mentors. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan sikap dan perilaku bapak dalam membimbing anaknya menurut Efesus 6:4. Masalah utama penelitian ini bahwa bapak-bapak keluarga Kristen banyak yang belum memiliki sikap dan perilaku yang tidak sesuai dengan prinsip Alkitab dalam membimbing anak. Kegagalan bapak dalam membimbing anak berdampak buruk bagi perkembangan moral, perangai dan karakter. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis diskriptif. Data penelitian bersumber dari berbagai literatur yang relevan dengan topic penelitian. Temuan akhir      penelitian mencakup pola teologis dan perspektif yang bermanfaat bagi orang tua dalam pembimbingan. Kesimpulan penelitian, yaitu: terdapat sejumlah keterampilan sikap dan perilaku yang harus dimiliki bapak-bapak dalam membimbing anak-anaknya. Bapak-bapak harus bersikap dan berperilaku benar di hadapan anak-anaknya serta menjadi idola sejati. Oleh karena itu, bapak-bapak perlu meningkatkan soft skill secara kontinu agar dapat menjadi pembimbing yang handal.
