Abstract

In order to achieve the objectives of this study, the research focus is on the description of strategies implemented by principals in an effort to improve teacher performance in the driving school program. This research was conducted in the environment of SMA Negeri 15 Tanjung Jabung Barat, Jambi Province. The research methodology applied was a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological orientation. Data were obtained through observation, interview, and document analysis methods. The data analysis process includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results showed that principals practiced various strategies to improve teacher performance, including discipline development and organizing internal training programs. The success of these strategies relies heavily on the commitment of the principal and teachers. As a leader, the principal is responsible for shifting the paradigm of Human Resources in his school to be willing to accept change, ensuring the successful implementation of the driving school program.

Abstract

Abstract: This qualitative research aims to describe the role of the principal in improving teamwork and teacher performance motivation at SMK Negeri 5 Merangin. The research method is a field study, based on observation and in-depth interviews with key informants. The results of this study state that the role of the principal motivates teacher performance by doing things such as giving awards and recognition of the results of the teacher's work providing space to innovate to the teachers, providing direction and coaching, providing authority, giving attention, giving picnics and incentives for teachers who excel. The principal's leadership style that applies to subordinates is a consultative, participatory, and educative leadership style. It can be concluded that principals can increase teacher performance motivation.  Improving the quality of education affects many factors, one of which is the ability of teachers which is very important. For this reason, the role of the Principal of SMKN 5 Merangin in improving teamwork is running smoothly, namely acting as a problem solver, through coordination meetings every two weeks to monitor the performance of teachers or program implementers and find out the obstacles faced, even personally with teachers or even parents of students through chat applications.  In the role of increasing teacher performance motivation, namely giving rewards or gifts to subordinates aims to motivate individuals for satisfactory performance, given on the basis of sacrifices of time, energy and thought. The leadership model uses a transactional leadership model, and also applies a participatory leadership model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the leadership style applied by the head of the National Narcotics Agency in motivating employees on the rehabilitation activities of narcotics abusers in the Primary clinic and to determine the impact of the leadership style that has been applied by the head of the National Narcotics Agency on employees’ performance. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study design, where researchers go directly to the field and socialize with employees and leaders, so the researchers know more deeply about the leadership style of the head of the National Narcotics Agency of the Regency (BNNK) of Batanghari in motivating employees. The leadership style in BNNK Batanghari in improving the employee’s performance is categorized in democratic, charismatic and autocratic. Democratic leadership style and charismatic leadership style are the dominant leadership styles that are applied by the head of BNNK Batanghari. While the autocratic style is only adapted to the situation, the democratic leadership style can be seen by the head of the BNNK opens space for subordinates to submit criticisms and suggestions in making decisions and supports subordinates to develop their potential. Charismatic leadership style is known that the head of the National Narcotics Agency has become a good role model for subordinates to become an admired person. The autocratic leadership style encourages subordinates to discipline in working and completing the work on time. These findings suggest that a leader should maintain what has been achieved, so that the performance of leaders and employees can drive BNNK institutions to be a greater institution. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan oleh kepala BNN dalam memotivasi karyawan pada kegiatan rehabilitasi penyalahguna narkotika di klinik Pratama serta untuk mengetahui dampak yang ditimbulkan dari gaya kepemimpinan yang telah diterapkan kepala BNN terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Dimana peneliti terjun langsung ke lapangan dan bersosialisasi dengan karyawan dan pimpinan, agar peneliti mengetahui secara lebih mendalam tentang gaya kepemimpinan kepala BNNK Batanghari dalam memotivasi karyawan. Gaya kepemimpinan kepala BNNK Batanghari dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai adalah gaya kepemimpinan, demokratis, kharismatis dan otokratis. Gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dan gaya kepemimpinan kharismatik merupakan gaya kepemimpinan yang dominan yang diterapkan oleh kepala BNN. Sedangkan gaya otokratis hanya disesuaikan dengan situasi yang ada. Gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dapat dilihat bahwa kepala BNN membuka ruang bagi bawahan untuk menyampaikan kritik dan saran dalam membuat keputusan serta mendukung bawahan untuk mengembangkan potensi. Gaya kepemimpinan kharismatik diketahui bahwa kepala BNN menjadi teladan yang baik bagi bawahan sehingga menjadi orang yang dikagumi. Sedangkan gaya kepemimpinan otokratis mendorong bawahan untuk disiplin dalam bekerja dan menyelesaikan pekerjaan tepat waktu. Dari temuan tersebut menyarankan agar seorang pemimpin hendaklah mempertahankan apa yang sudah dicapai saat ini sehingga prestasi kerja pimpinan dan karyawan dapat membawa institusi BNN lebih maju.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam membangun kualitas sumber daya manusia yang unggul, dan sektor pendidikan di Indonesia terus berkembang, termasuk dalam bidang pendidikan berbasis agama yang salah satunya adalah model pendidikan yang banyak diminati adalah sekolah swasta berbasis Islam terpadu. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan value capture pada sekolah swasta berbasis Islam Terpadu. Konsep value capture ini merujuk pada bagaimana sekolah-sekolah tersebut dapat mengoptimalkan nilai dari sumber daya yang dimiliki, seperti teknologi, tenaga pengajar, dan kurikulum, untuk menciptakan keunggulan kompetitif. Artikel ini menggambarkan bagaimana sekolah swasta berbasis Islam Terpadu dapat mengimplementasikan value capture sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan kualitas layanan pendidikan yang mereka tawarkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini memberikan referensi yang relevan untuk mendalami konsep dan penerapan value capture dalam konteks Pendidikan dengan melihat bagaimana sekolah-sekolah ini berhasil meningkatkan nilai tambah melalui integrasi teknologi dalam proses belajar mengajar, serta pengembangan program-program ekstrakurikuler berbasis Islam Terpadu yang menarik minat siswa dan orang tua. Selain itu, kebijakan manajemen dalam mengelola sumber daya secara efektif juga berperan penting dalam mendukung penerapan value capture. Implikasi penelitian ini memberikan pandangan bahwa strategi value capture dapat menjadi salah satu faktor kunci bagi sekolah swasta berbasis Islam Terpadu untuk tetap kompetitif di tengah persaingan yang semakin ketat di sektor pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam mencari jawaban atas permasalahan yang diajukan dengan menggunakan Teknik Pustaka. Penelitian dengan kajian pustaka, atau yang sering disebut sebagai literature review, adalah metode penelitian yang menggunakan sumber-sumber literatur sebagai dasar utama untuk menganalisis, membahas, dan menyimpulkan fenomena tertentu tanpa melakukan pengumpulan data primer seperti survei atau eksperimen.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school principals' leadership in increasing entrepreneurial interest in students. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, document studies, and focus group discussions (FGD). The subjects of the study include school principals, teachers, students, and external parties involved in entrepreneurship programs. The results show that school principals play an important role in encouraging students' interest in entrepreneurship through transformative leadership. The strategies implemented include the integration of entrepreneurship education in the curriculum, the development of extracurricular activities, and cooperation with the business world.

Abstract

The use of instructional materials in the learning process in the classroom is paramount for teaching materials is one of the factors that affect the improvement of the quality of learning. Similarly, in the study of Social Sciences (IPS) in the Junior High School (SMP) has some problems, such as: its not integrated teaching materials or teaching social studies mostly still carried out separately. Research aims: (1) describe the product development process of teaching materials such as books of Social Sciences (IPS) integrated characterless, (2) describe the use of an integrated social studies teaching material characterless. Models development of teaching materials using the model of Dick and Carey (1994), while the steps are: (1) set a goal of learning, (2) analysis of learning, (3) identify the child's abilities and characteristics of students, (4) formulate specific goals, (5) developing test items, (6) develop learning strategies, (7) develop and choose the subject matter, (8) to design and conduct formative evaluation, (9) revise the learning. The average acquisition individual trials on the effectiveness of instructional materials is 79%, a small group test the effectiveness of teaching materials is 84.2%. Student pretest value reached 52.5% at the posttest value of 100% or the overall student has achieved the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). While to a large group of placement test, which means 80% proven effective teaching materials. Assessment of two (2) social studies teachers to gain teaching materials with an average value of 87%, as well as to aspects of the content material is very good quality is obtained with a percentage of 86% and design aspects with the percentage 76%. Based on the results of product testing can be concluded that the development of teaching materials based IPS Integrated Character Education classes VII Semester is fit for use and has a level of effectiveness and attractiveness, these teaching materials students can use independently. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana pengaruh motivasi kerja, disiplin kerja guru, dan fasilitas belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas X di SMK DB 4 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei untuk menguji hipotesis atau menjawab pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengan current status dari subjek yang diteliti. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 98 sampel dan angket yang kembali sebanyak 84 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan motivasi kerja guru terhadap terhadap hasil belajar / prestasi belajar siswa dengan koefisian determinasi sebesar 0,438. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara disiplin kerja terhadap hasil belajar/prestasi dengan koefisien determinasi sebanyak 0,287. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara disiplin kerja terhadap hasil belajar/ prestasi dengan koefisien determinasi sebanyak 0,411. Kemudian, terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara motivasi kerja guru, disiplin kerja guru, dan fasilitas belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar/prestasi dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,506. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, guru – guru SMK DB 4 Kota Jambi disarankan agar dapat mempertahankan dan meningkatkan motivasi kerja yang telah dicapai baik dalam kualitas maupun proses pembelajaran serta tidak merasa cepat puas dengan apa yang telah dicapai agar terciptanya suasana belajar yang baik dan kondisuf.

Abstract

creatively processing Jambi batik patchwork into home décor products and improves economic welfare. The initiative provides women with essential skills to produce valuable home décor items such as decorative cushions, tablecloths, and wall art from batik patchwork, a material traditionally considered textile waste. The program focuses on processing batik scraps into home décor products for wall hangings. By focusing on design, production, and digital marketing skills, the program fosters economic independence and strengthens the role of women in the local economy. The purpose of this service activity is to provide training and skills to Jambi Malay tribe women to produce home decor from batik scraps and transform batik scraps into home decor products with high added value to increase product competitiveness, develop and promote local product culture, and increase economic income. The results of the service showed practical skills, increased income, self-confidence, and social status of the participants. This sustainable approach promotes environmental conservation and supports local economic resilience, proving the long-term positive impact of empowering women in the creative industry on community welfare.

Abstract

The research conducted aims to determine the effect of entrepreneurship education and income expectations on the interest in entrepreneurship in economics education students class of 2020 FKIP Jambi University. This research is a descriptive quantitative research using the Ex Post Facto research approach. The data collection tool used a questionnaire with the help of the Google form which was distributed to a sample of 71 students. Sampling technique with full sample. The results of this study indicate that: (1) There is an influence of Entrepreneurship Education on Interest in Entrepreneurship in Students. (2) There is an influence between Income Expectations on Interest in Entrepreneurship in Students. (3) There is an influence between Entrepreneurship Education and Income Expectations on Interest in Entrepreneurship in Students. From these results it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between Entrepreneurship Education and Income Expectations on Interest in Entrepreneurship in Students.
