Abstract

This study examines the influence of service quality, product design, and location on purchase decisions and customer satisfaction at Batik Rengganis. A quantitative approach was employed, and data were collected through questionnaires distributed to Batik Rengganis customers. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS- SEM) version 3.0. The results of the study indicate that service quality and location have a significant influence on purchase decisions, whereas product design does not have a significant effect. Moreover, none of the three independent variables; service quality, product design, and location, have a direct impact on customer satisfaction. Interestingly, purchase decisions were found to have a significant influence on customer satisfaction. However, no mediating effect of purchase decisions was observed in the relationship between the three independent variables and customer satisfaction. This study reveals that although service quality and location play an important role in influencing purchase decisions, these factors alone are not sufficient to ensure customer satisfaction. The findings provide practical implications for Batik Rengganis business owners, highlighting the need to go beyond operational improvements and adopt more comprehensive strategies to enhance customer satisfaction holistically. Furthermore, this study contributes to the marketing literature, particularly within the traditional crafts industry by investigating relationships among variables that have been rarely examined in previous research..

Abstract

Banking institutions play a central role in supporting economic stability and growth, particularly by acting as intermediaries between surplus fund holders and those in need of funds. Firm value in the banking sector serves as a key indicator for investors to assess the company’s prospects and financial health. This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, liquidity, and capital structure on firm value, with earnings quality as an intervening variable, in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2023 period. The research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, with a population of 47 banking companies, of which 10 companies met the specified criteria. Data were analyzed using Path Analysis with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results of direct influence hypothesis testing show that profitability and capital structure have a statistically significant positive influence on earnings quality. However, liquidity has an insignificant negative effect on earnings quality. On the other hand, profitability and capital structure do not have a significant influence on company value. In fact, earnings quality has a significant negative influence on company value. Furthermore, earnings quality shows a negative but significant influence on company value. In addition, in testing the indirect influence hypothesis, it shows that Profitability, Liquidity and Capital Structure do not significantly influence company value through earnings quality as an intervening variable.

Abstract

At Café Kedai Siring, location was found to affect purchasing decisions. The café’s position near a quiet beach but far from residential areas increases parking security risks, while service quality was considered lacking due to long service times, order errors, and limited facilities. This study analyzes the effects of café atmosphere, location, and service quality on repurchase intention, with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. The research used a quantitative approach with 99 respondents selected through simple random sampling, and data were analyzed using the PLS-SEM method with SmartPLS 3.0. The results showed that café atmosphere, location, and service quality significantly influenced customer satisfaction. Café atmosphere and location had a significant positive effect on repurchase intention, while service quality had a positive but not significant effect. Customer satisfaction itself had a significant effect on repurchase intention and mediated the influence of café atmosphere, location, and service quality on repurchase intention.

Abstract

Amid increasingly intense global competition, the effective use of data has become essential for companies to remain competitive. Therefore, variables such as net profit margin, return on equity, and firm size are crucial for gaining deeper insights into firm value and its impact on company performance. This study focuses on food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2023. The objective of this research is to analyze and identify the influence of net profit margin and return on equity on firm value, with firm size acting as a moderating variable. A quantitative method was employed, utilizing secondary data obtained from annual reports available on the official IDX website (www.idx.co.id). The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a total of eight companies selected as the sample. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests (normality and multicollinearity), the coefficient of determination test, and structural equation modeling. Hypothesis testing using Smart PLS 3.0 software revealed that the net profit margin has a negative but non-significant effect on firm value. At the same time, the return on equity has a positive but also non-significant effect. Furthermore, firm size does not significantly moderate the relationship between either net profit margin or return on equity and firm value.

Abstract

The food and beverage industry plays a crucial role in the economy as it produces basic necessities for the Indonesian people. The development of this sector continues to increase in line with sustainable economic growth. In Indonesia, companies in this sector are experiencing significant growth, as evidenced by the increasing number of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The increase in the number of listed companies reflects the high public demand for this industry's products. The researcher chose Food and Beverage Companies as the research object because stocks in this sector tend to be more resilient to monetary or economic crises than other sectors. This is due to the fact that food and beverage products are basic necessities that remain in demand by the public, both in stable economic conditions and during crises. The purpose of this study is to analyze and test dividend policy in moderating the effect of Liquidity and Profitability on Stock Prices. The population in this study is Food and Beverage Companies with as many as 95 companies listed during the research period on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The data analysis and hypothesis testing used Structural Equation Analysis – Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). The results of the hypothesis test using the Smart PLS 3.0 application indicate that liquidity has a positive but insignificant effect on stock prices, profitability has a positive but insignificant effect on stock prices, dividend policy has a negative but insignificant effect in moderating the effect of liquidity on stock prices, and dividend policy has a negative but insignificant effect in moderating the effect of profitability on stock prices.

Abstract

The Indonesian capital market, namely the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), is a forum for companies to obtain capital and investors to invest. Stock investment offers potential benefits through dividends and rising share prices (capital gains). The increase in share price reflects the market’s positive perception of the company’s performance and prospects, which ultimately contributes to an increase in the company’s value, and indirectly, the share price becomes crucial. Sixty-three companies in the basic industry and chemical sector are listed on the IDX for the 2020-2023. The basic industrial and chemical sector is one of the important sectors in the Indonesian economy. This sector provides raw materials for various downstream industries and significantly contributes to GDP. The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) experienced a sharp decline at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, then gradually recovered and recorded growth in subsequent years. This certainly affects the performance and movement of stock prices in various sectors, including the basic industrial and chemical sectors. This study aimed to analyze and test the company size in moderating the effect of profitability and liquidity on firm value. The population in this study was manufacturing companies in the basic industry and chemical sector, with 63 companies listed during the research period on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique was determined by purposive sampling—data analysis and hypothesis testing using Structural Equation Analysis - Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM). The results of hypothesis testing using the Smart PLS 3.0 application, show that profitability has a positive but insignificant effect on Firm value, liquidity has a positive but insignificant effect on Firm value, Firm size has a positive and significant effect in moderating Profitability on Firm value, Firm size has a negative and insignificant effect in moderating Liquidity on Firm value.
