Abstract

Early Childhood Education is an effort made by educational institutions to provide care services that focus on the physical and psychological development of early childhood. The environment built in early childhood education institutions is also adjusted so that children can explore in order to fulfill their development which involves all aspects of development. One aspect of development that is important to develop is the language aspect, where children will use language as a medium to communicate and interact with their environment. The aim of this research is to find out the influence of a method called the suggestopedia method on the language skills of early childhood at Aisyiyah Sambit Kindergarten, Ponorogo Regency. The suggestopedia method is a relaxation method that relies on a person’s subconscious mind to receive material. The subjects of the research carried out were vulnerable early childhood children aged 4-5 years at the Aisyiyah Sambit Kindergarten, totaling 12 children. The method used by researchers is a quantitative method. Based on the research conducted, hypothesis testing shows differences in the average and significance values of the values before and after applying the suggestopedia method. Therefore, the conclusion of this research is that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is an influence of the suggestopedia method on the language skills of early childhood at Aisyiyah Sambit Kindergarten.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of children to recognize number symbols in group A TK Dharma Wanita 1 Jurug Sooko. This is due to the lack of teacher skills and the proper media has not been used in introducing number symbols to children. This research was conducted to determine the increase in the ability to recognize children’s number symbols using loose parts media. This study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design with quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques using a paired sample t-test for two groups of data, namely the pre-test and post-test. Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and tests. The data analysis test in this study was carried out through several stages including the normality test and hypothesis testing stages. The data analysis test was carried out with the help of SPSS 18 and produced output data showing a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference during the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The pre-cycle average results, namely before being given action using loose part media of 4.6, the average value of cycle I increased to 5.733, and the average value of cycle II experienced a good increase of 6.8, so descriptively there was an increase the average of pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II.

Abstract

Early age is an important phase for a child’s development stage. Therefore, it is very important for children to do this as optimally as possible during this period, especially aspects of language development. One form of language development is through telling stories with picture story books. This article wants to describe the implementation of language development activities through storytelling with picture story books in group B at RA. ‘Aisyiyah Sidoharjo, Pulung, Ponorogo. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, observation, interviews and documentation are the techniques used in data collection. The research results show that the steps in implementing language development through picture story books in group B RA. ‘Aisyiyah, Sidoharjo, Pulung, Ponorogo carried out several processes, namely; setting learning objectives; carry out learning planning; designing learning activities; organizing time and space; carrying out evaluations and assessments; reflect and improve the learning process. Picture storybook media is very appropriate to use for developing aspects of children’s language because through storytelling children are able to express what they feel and see.

Abstract

Early childhood education is one of the important things before children enter the primary education. At this stage, the children’s development aspects must be optimized, especially the aspect of fine motor skills development. One form of developing fine motor skills is by dancing. This article describes the strategies used by the Integrated Islamic Kindergarten of Nurussyifa, Krebet, Jambon, Ponorogo in developing fine motor skills through meronce media. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Observation, interviews and documentation are the techniques used in data collection. The results of the research show that the strategy used by Integrated Islamic Kindergarten of Nurussyifa, Krebet, Jambon, Ponorogo to develop fine motor skills through meronce is effectively proved. This can be seen from field observation results that some students achieved indicator of fine motor development, such as; the child’s skills in holding objects; the child’s skills in threading objects into threads; the child’s skills in arranging and grouping objects; and the child’s skills in training eye and hand coordination focus.
