Abstract

The development of science and technology, especially information and communication technology (ICT) has penetrated various fields of life including education and teaching. The progress of ICTs is undeniably a lot of positive impacts on the progress of today's education world. Social networking or friendship through the Internet, otherwise known as social networking, is also experiencing rapid growth. The trend of using social networking is actually an interesting opportunity to be utilized as one of the learning media. Utilization of the internet and social networking in learning in Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Nurul Furqoon Binjai is an effort to improve teacher efficiency so that it is more focused on improving the quality of learning by providing training on the use of Whatsapp, Teamviewer and Google Drive. in facilitating teachers in undergoing the process of teaching and learning in schools. It is expected that by knowing the function of social media, teachers can easily and quickly transfer information to students or to teachers at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Nurul Furqoon schools.

Abstract

Algoritma dijkstra merupakan salah satu metode pencarian jalur terpendek untuk menemukan sebuah jalur antara dua node dengan jumlah bobot minimal. Pada implementasi pencarian jalur tercepat antara dua lokasi yang berbeda dalam sebuah peta, node akan merepresentasikan lokasi pada peta dan bobot merepresentasikan efisiensi waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk melakukan perjalanan antara dua lokasi tersebut. Beberapa kasus yang membutuhkan tingkat efisiensi waktu tinggi yaitu pengiriman barang, pencarian lokasi dan sebagainya. Aplikasi algoritma dijkstra untuk pencarian jalur terpendek dibangun dengan mengggunakan lingkungan pengembangan Aplikasi ini akan melakukan pencarian jalur terpendek dari node awal ke node tujuan dengan jumlah bobot terkecil. Pada aplikasi ini posisi node,jumlah node, node awal dan node tujuan ditentukan oleh pengguna dengan besar bobot yang ditentukan secara otomatis sesuai dengan jarak tiap node yang tersambung atau edge. Aplikasi ini juga akan memberikan informasi lamanya waktu proses pecarian jalur terpendek. Aplikasi ini dapat melakukan pencarian jalur terpendek dari node awal ke node tujuan dengan menggunakan algoritma djikstra melalui node-node yang tersambung. Lamanya waktu pencarian tergantung pada banyaknya jumlah node dan jumlah edge. Pertambahan jumlah node akan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap waktu pencarian dibandingkan dengan penambahan jumlah edge.

Abstract

This community service for the Application of Appropriate Technology aims to solve one of the problems faced by tour guides who are members of service partners, namely the DPC Indonesian Tour Guide Association (HPI), Bukit Lawang Secretariat. The problem faced by the Bukit Lawang HPI Secretariat DPC is that it does not yet have a website with English content, so it has not been able to provide solutions to improve the economy of its members. Another problem is that the guides who are members of the Bukit Lawang HPI Secretariat have never received training in using the Web. With the development of a Web-based information system, it is expected that tour guides will find it easier to market tourism services in their area. The method used is to provide training on the use of Web-based information systems with content in English. This training provides guide skills in managing the website easily and updating content dynamically at any time. As a result of this dedication, tour guides have been able to use the Web to fill in content according to the desired information so that tour guides can improve their economy.

Abstract

This community service aims to help UMKM with Variegated Flavors Chips in Padang Brahrang Village, Selesai District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. In this activity, assistance was provided in the form of the development of a web-based online sales application and the provision of 1 unit of Hewlet Packard laptop as an operational support facility. This program aims to increase the accessibility of marketing various flavored chips products and expand market reach through digital platforms. The methods applied include the design stage, application development, and application use training for MSME owners. The results of this activity show that this sales application helps MSMEs in managing products and transactions more effectively. In addition, the training conducted improves the ability of MSME owners to operate digital-based systems, so it is expected to have a positive impact on increasing sales and product competitiveness.

Abstract

Era digital menuntut pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) untuk beradaptasi dengan teknologi dalam pengelolaan bisnisnya. Banyak UMKM masih menghadapi kendala dalam penerapan sistem digitalisasi, terutama dalam aspek pencatatan transaksi dan promosi produk. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk membantu UMKM Fauzan Mini Garden dalam menerapkan aplikasi bisnis digital sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan perluasan pasar. Kegiatan dilakukan oleh tim dosen dari Politeknik Negeri Medan (Polmed) yang terdiri atas lima dosen dan beberapa mahasiswa. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan, pendampingan, serta implementasi sistem aplikasi digital yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik usaha. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan digitalisasi manajemen dan promosi usaha. Mitra kini mampu menggunakan aplikasi untuk pencatatan transaksi, manajemen stok, serta pemasaran secara online. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pengabdian yang berkelanjutan dalam mendukung transformasi digital UMKM di wilayah Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

This study makes information management and online registration of student competency tests through the design of Polmed Siukom. The target of this research is the availability of an information system and online registration of the Medan State Polytechnic Student Competency Test, abbreviated as the Siukom Police, which can be used as a service facility for information activities and a competency test data base as well as an online registration process. Student competency tests are conducted by the Medan State Polytechnic academic community. This research activity involved several related units within the Medan State Polytechnic, namely the Professional Certification Institute (LSP), the Medan State Polytechnic Information System Center (PSI), the Leadership Element consisting of the Director, Deputy Director I, Deputy Director II, and Deputy Director IV. The fundamental contribution of this research is the formation of public service management for the Medan State Polytechnic academic community in the field of website-based Student Competency Test which will be used as a means of community service. This research uses descriptive analytical method, with a qualitative approach to obtain information and collect the required data

Abstract

Encryption is a technique for hiding passwords into writing that changes from their original form. Encryption aims to increase the security of passwords on an account so that it is not misused by people who are not responsible or who have an interest in seeing data on the application or the web.Emusrenbang application in Binjai City is a website that aims to accommodate community proposals in Binjai so that every community in Binjai city can submit proposals without having to come to the Kelurahan office. Each community has an account to be able to submit proposals based on Local Government Work Plans (OPD). To increase security for each user account is equipped by adding a password. To prevent passwords from being read easily, passwords are encrypted using the MD5 algorithm implemented in PHP. MD5 is an algorithm.It is expected that the emusrenbang web application can cut costs in implementing the emusrenbang from villages, sub-districts, the Regional Representative Council and the Regional Parliament Council (PokD), and can increase public trust with government transparency in carrying out musrenbang in the city of Binjai.

Abstract

Dalam proses konversi file image dengan cara proses scan menjadi file text tentunya adalah salah satu dari teknik untuk memudahkan pengguna dalam mengedit file image yang diubah dalam bentuk file text tanpa harus menyalin ulang dokumen secara manual.Feature extraction merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengenali suatu objek dengan melihat ciri-ciri khusus yang dimiliki objek tersebut. Tujuan dari feature extraction adalah melakukan perhitungan dan perbandingan yang bisa digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan ciri-ciri yang dimiliki oleh suatu citra. Pemetaan ciri-ciri khusus yang dilakukan terhadap citra karakter adalah keterbukaan citra, jumlah garis vertikal dan horizontal, jumlah perpotongan pixel hitam di bagian tengah citra secara vertikal dan horizontal, dan histogram pixel hitam pada sembilan bagian citra yang dibandingkan dengan resolusi citra karakter.Dalam sebuah perancangan sistem yang dibuat, masukkan yang dilakukan ke dalam sistem adalah berupa file image yang berada didalam file dokumen atau hasil image pada proses scanning. Dan perangkat lunak untuk konversi file image hasil scan menjadi file text ini dibangun dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman microsoft visual basic 2008.
