Abstract

Pengaruh Aplikasi Pupuk kandang Sapi dan Bokashi Sampah Kota Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Tanaman Mentimun (Cucumis sativus L). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Universitas Asahan, jalan jend. Ahmad Yani, Kecamatan Kisaran Timur Kabupaten Asahan dengan topogafi dan ketinggian tempat ± 20 m dpl. dilakukan pada bulan Februari s/d April tahun 2021. Penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan 2 faktor perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah aplikasi pupuk kandang sapi dengan 4 taraf yaitu : K0 = 0 kg plot-1, K1 = 1 kg plot-1,K2 = 2 kg plot-1 dan K3 = 3 kg plot-1. Faktor kedua adalah aplikasi bokashi sampah kota, dengan 3 taraf yaitu S0 = 0 kg plot-1, S1 = 1 kg plot-1dan S2 = 2 kg plot-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi pupuk kandang sapi menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap diameter buah, panjang buah, produksi tanaman per sample, produksi tanaman per plot dengan perlakuan terbaik yaitu 3 kg plot-1. Aplikasi bokashi sampah kota tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap seluruh parameter amatan tanaman mentimun. Interaksi aplikasi pupuk kandang sapi dan bokashi sampah kota tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap seluruh parameter amatan tanaman mentimun

Abstract

Tomatoes are essential for Indonesians because they have high economic and nutritional value. In addition, as population growth increases, the demand for tomatoes also increases. Based on this, it is essential to research to predict the future development of tomato crop production. The research in this paper uses a dataset of tomato plant production in Indonesia, which is spread across 34 provinces in the last seven years, namely from 2015 to 2021), which is sourced from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics and the District/City Agriculture Service of each Province. The algorithm proposed in this study is the Fletcher-Reeves Conjugate Gradient Algorithm which will be processed with the help of Matlab2011b. Research analysis with three network architectural models: 5-7-1, 5-13-1, and 5-17-1. Based on a network comparison of the three architectural models, the best result is the 5-17-1 model because the MSE value is the smallest compared to the other two models, namely 0.0009915 compared to 0.0010851 and 0.0049764, as well as the highest level of accuracy, namely by 94% versus 91% and 88%. Therefore the 5-17-1 model is used to predict the yield of tomato production in Indonesia for the future (2022 and 2023). Based on the prediction results at the end of 2022 and 2023, there are 18 provinces where tomato crop production has the potential to increase, although not too significantly. The prediction of tomato production using the Fletcher-Reeves algorithm is quite good because it produces a small error rate and high accuracy.

Abstract

Jamur tiram telah banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia. Produksi dari jamur tiram telah mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Beberapa kelebihan dari jamur tiram yaitu Jamur tiram memenuhi standar gizi sebagai pilihan makanan yang aman, bebas dari bahan beracun, kaya akan nutrisi, dan memiliki potensi dalam pengobatan untuk berbagai penyakit. Kelemahan dari jamur tiram yaitu rentan menjadi rusak, daya simpan rendah, kualitasnya mudah turun dan rasanya berubah. Diversifikasi pangan sebagai solusi dari masalah ini dan hal ini perlu diaplikasikan ke masyarakat salah satunya ke wilayah pedesaan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan wawasan masyarakat terkait diversifikasi olahan jamur tiram putih terutama di desa Sukajadi, Kecamatan Meranti, Kabupaten Asahan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini penyuluhan berupa penyampaian materi melalui powerpoint dan memaparkan produk olahan berbahan dasar jamur tiram. Kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan wawasan masyarakat terkait berbagai jenis olahan berbahan dasar jamur tiram. Kelemahan dari olahan berbahan dasar jamur tiram yaitu harganya yang tergolong mahal untuk masyarakat pedesaan.

Abstract

This study aimed at bolstering students' scientific literacy in biotechnology through the implementation of Experiment-Based Learning and Creativity Worksheets (LKPD). Utilizing a classroom action research framework, the investigation was conducted over two cycles, incorporating planning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection phases. It involved 30 students and used observational sheets for monitoring teacher and student activities, along with multiple-choice and essay questions to assess students' scientific literacy. The findings revealed a notable enhancement in both teaching methods and student learning outcomes, facilitated by the LKPD usage. Specifically, teacher performance improved from achieving 80% of the set criteria in the first cycle to 90% in the second, upgrading their rating from 'Good' to 'Very Good'. This improvement was paralleled by a rise in students' average scores from 85.33 to 90.58, indicating a heightened engagement with and comprehension of biotechnological principles. The employment of LKPDs proved critical not just for expanding knowledge but for the practical application of scientific concepts, as demonstrated by an average literacy score of 88. Furthermore, an uplift in the average scientific literacy score from 76.59 in the first cycle to 84.89 in the second emphasizes the significance of LKPDs in enhancing students' grasp of scientific theories. Overall, the interventions across the cycles successfully elevated the caliber of teaching, enriched the student learning experience, and significantly improved science literacy, thus contributing to an enhancement in educational quality

Abstract

Mangroves are one of the most important natural ecosystems. Mangroves physically function as land protection areas against the impact of abrasion and erosion due to waves. In terms of chemistry, mangroves act as filters for pollutants, especially organic materials, and as an energy source that provides detritus, which is a food source for aquatic organisms. Aquatic biota that live in mangrove areas include mollusks, crabs, fish, oysters, and shrimp. In addition, the role of mangroves is very significant in maintaining the productivity of waters in coastal areas and supporting the lives of surrounding communities. The purpose of this study is to identify biota whose lives are associated with mangroves of Avicennia spp. and Sonneratia spp. The method used in this study is exploration. The location of the transect is made based on the purposive sampling method, where data is taken deliberately based on the abundance of biota and mangroves of the species Avicennia spp. and Sonneratia spp. The types of biota associations Nerita polita, Turritella attenuata, Chicoreus sp., Mytilus edulis, Geloina expansa, Scylla tranquebarica, Leptuca uruguayensis, Aratus pisonii, and Lepas balanoides. Mangroves associated with the above biota are from the types of Sonneratia alba and Avicennia marina.

Abstract

Abstract: Red chili is one of the crops commonly cultivated by farmers in several regions of Indonesia. This is due not only to its high economic value but also to its various health benefits. This study aims to determine the effect of applying different concentrations of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer and goat manure liquid organic fertilizer (POC Kohe Kambing) on the growth of red chili plants. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD), while the treatment design was factorial, consisting of two factors: NPK 16:16:16 (N) with three treatment doses: N0: 0 ml/plot, N1: 60 g/plot, and N2: 120 g/plot. ,Goat manure liquid organic fertilizer (POC Kohe Kambing) with four levels: P0: 0 liter/plot, P1: 1 liter/plot, P2: 2 liters/plot, and P3: 3 liters/plot, each with three replications. The observed variables included plant height, the height of the first branch, stem base diameter, and the number of leaves. The results showed that the application of different doses had a significant effect on plant height, the height of the first branch, stem base diameter, and the number of leaves across all observation periods. NPK 16:16:16 influenced observations at 56 days after planting. The best results for goat manure liquid organic fertilizer were achieved at P3 (3 liters/plot). The interaction between NPK 16:16:16 doses and goat manure liquid organic fertilizer significantly affected all observed parameters. Keywords: Red Chili, NPK 16:16:16 Fertilizer, Goat Manure POC, Plant GrowthAbstrak: Cabai merah merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman yang umumnya ditanam oleh petani di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia. Ini disebabkan tidak hanya oleh tingginya nilai jual cabai merah, tetapi juga karena buah ini memiliki beberapa keuntungan untuk Kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian konsentrasi Pupuk NPK 16:16:16 dan POC Kohe Kambing terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman Cabai merah. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), sedangkan rancangan perlakuannya adalah Faktorial, yang terdiri atas dua faktor yang diteliti, yaitu :1. NPK 16:16:16 (N) terdiri dari 3 dosis perlakuan N0: 0ml/plot, N1: 60g/plot, U2: 120g/plot. Dosis yang ke 2. POC KOHE Kambing terdiri dari 4 Taraf P0: 0 liter/plot, P1: 1 lliter/plot, P2: 2 liter/plot, P3: 3 liter/plot dengan 3 ulangan. Peubah amatan yang diamati: Tinggi Tanaman, Tinggi Cabang Pertama, Diameter Pangkal Batang, Jumlah Daun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Aplikasi perbedaan dosis menunjukan pengaruh yang nyata pada pengamatan tinggi tanaman, Tinggi Cabang Pertama, Diameter Pangkal Cabang, dan Jumlah Daun pada Semua umur amatan, NPK 16:16:16 berpengaruh pada pengamatan pada umur 56 Hari Setelah Tanam, kandungan dosis tanaman dengan Pupuk POC KOHE Kambing pupuk terbaik Pada P3 3 lter /plot, Interaksi dosis NPK 16:16:16 dan POC KOHE Kambing berpengaruh pada semua parameter pengamatan. Kata kunci: Cabai Merah, Pupuk NPK 16:16:16, POC Kohe Kambing, Pertumbuhan Tanaman

Abstract

Community service is an activity that realizes and improves the quality of community knowledge in helping the problems experienced by the community in the community. Through the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) program based on community service, this activity is to increase students' sense of solidarity with the existing conditions of the community. The use of land with hydroponic cultivation is an alternative that can be done by utilizing minimal yard land and being able to use used goods. Farming with hydroponics is very environmentally friendly in addition to not using pesticides, also the production can be used alone or as an economic source of household income. In addition, the outputs obtainedare n: (1) Improvement of superior quality of resources; (2) improving household economic resources; (3) Encourage the progress of the village. Abstract

Agriculture plays a significant role in economic development and food security in Indonesia, including in Air Joman District, which has great agricultural potential. However, various challenges, such as low productivity and limited access to modern technology, hinder the development of this sector. The community service program by the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Asahan aims to enhance farmers' capacities through the implementation of sustainable agricultural technologies. The methods used include counseling and practice-based training, such as utilizing household waste to produce organic fertilizers. Results showed an 85% improvement in farmers' understanding and a 20% average increase in crop productivity. The use of organic fertilizers also reduced production costs by up to IDR 500,000 per planting season, improved soil fertility, and generated additional income for farmers. This program not only provided positive economic and environmental impacts but also contributed to the sustainability of the local ecosystem, making it a replicable model for empowering farmers in other regions.
