Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the readiness of schools in implementing the Smart School system through various stages. One of the concepts of a Smart City involves integrating information and communication technology into the learning process at every school to create Smart Schools. However, not all schools are ready to implement this technology because it requires suitable technology to support the quality of teaching and learning. Another issue is the absence of information systems that can facilitate administrative tasks and the teaching and learning process. The use of the K-Means method is beneficial for clustering schools based on their stages, characteristics, and readiness to implement the Smart School system. This helps identify schools with the highest level of readiness. This research demonstrates that the use of K-Means can identify school readiness based on the established stages related to the Smart School system. It also can pique students' interest in developing and boosting the school's reputation as the best technology-based school.

Abstract

This study explores the creative recycling of paper core waste as an alternative medium in three-dimensional art learning for ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Pabelan, Semarang Regency. The use of environmentally friendly and easily accessible materials like paper core serves not only as a medium for artistic creation but also as a tool to instill educational values. The study aims to describe the implementation process of using paper core in three-dimensional art projects, analyze the resulting student artworks, and identify the educational values fostered through this learning activity. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the learning process was conducted in collaborative groups, where students designed, constructed, and decorated three-dimensional artworks such as pencil holders, piggy banks, and vases from paper core. The resulting artworks demonstrated originality, creativity, and aesthetic quality, reflecting the students’ imaginative engagement with the material. Furthermore, the learning process successfully embedded values such as environmental awareness, collaboration, independence, and creative thinking. This study shows that the creative use of paper core waste in art education not only enhances students’ artistic skills but also promotes sustainable practices and character development. The integration of local materials and recycled media in formal education offers a meaningful and innovative approach to teaching visual arts in schools.

Abstract

Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica L.) is one of the high economic value plantation commodities, where the level of production is largely determined by land suitability. Scientific information related to specific land suitability in potential areas, such as Solok Regency, is still minimal. This research was conducted in Nagari Koto Gadang Guguk, Gunung Talang District, West Sumatra, with the aim of assessing the level of land suitability for Arabica coffee cultivation. The research was conducted from August to November 2024 through field surveys, laboratory analysis, and Geographic Information System (GIS)-based mapping at a scale of 1:50,000. Analysis included soil physical characteristics (texture, effective depth, drainage), chemical properties (pH, organic carbon, cation exchange capacity, base saturation), as well as topography and climate factors. Results showed that the study land was dominated by dusty loam to dusty clay textures with medium to high C-organic content (2.68-3.12%), slightly acidic pH (5.50-6.18), medium-high CEC values (21.53-32.54 cmol kg-¹), and base saturation of 42.53-68.23%. From the evaluation results, four land units (SL1-SL4) were categorized as S3 class (marginally suitable) with the main constraints of excess rainfall (2,817-3,000 mm/year) and slope (9-40%). Meanwhile, SL5 is categorized as class N (unsuitable) due to drainage problems. The potential to increase land suitability is still open through the application of soil and water conservation, terrace construction, use of adaptive varieties, and improvement of soil and water management. The overall results confirm the importance of land suitability evaluation as a foundation for sustainable Arabica coffee management in the tropical highland region. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi penerapan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) meliputi: 1) input penerapan K3 pada pembelajaran praktik, 2) proses penerapan K3 pada pembelajaran praktik, dan 3) hasil penerapan K3 pada pembelajaran praktik di bengkel otomotif SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan model evaluasi Countenance Stake yang menekankan dua hal pokok yaitu deskripsi dan pertimbangan, dengan 3 tahapan yaitu antecedents, transaction, dan output. Data penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif kuantitatif yang tujuannya untuk menggambarkan dan menganalisis kelompok data tanpa membuat atau menarik kesimpulan atas populasi yang diamati. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI program keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif berjumlah 103 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 3 kelas. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan mulai tanggal 31 Oktober sampai 18 November 2022. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi: 1) observasi non-partisipatif yang hanya melihat dan mencatat segala kegiatan yang berhubungan dengan penerapan K3, 2) kuesioner tertutup dengan menggunakan 5 kategori seperti pada skala Likert, dan 3) dokumentasi sebagai data pendukung. Validitas yang digunakan adalah jenis validitas konstruk, yang menunjukkan sejauh mana suatu instrumen mampu mengungkap hasil yang sesuai teori. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pada tahap antecedents (input) masuk dalam kategori baik dengan skor rerata 3,99. Pada tahap transaction (proses) masuk dalam kategori baik dengan skor rerata 3,48 dan pada tahap output (hasil): tidak ada catatan/laporan KAK/ PAK secara tertulis, namun selama 5 tahun terakhir tidak pernah terjadi kecelakaan kerja yang serius dan perlu penanganan medis, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa di SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu telah terbentuk sistem K3 pada bengkel otomotif. Abstract This study evaluates the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) The aim of this study is to evaluate the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in the automotive workshop of SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu, covering: 1) the input, 2) the process, and 3) the results of implementing OSH to the practical learning environment at the automotive workshop of SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu. The study was conducted using quantitative method, with the Countenance Stake model emphasizing two main points, namely description and judgment. It has 3 stages, specifically antecedents, transaction, and output. The research data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistics which purpose was to describe and analyze data groups without making or drawing conclusions about the population being observed. The subjects of this research were 103 students of Class XI of the Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering program, divided into 3 classes. The data collection process was carried out from October 31 to November 18, 2022. The data were collected using: 1) non-participant observation that only observes and records all activities related to the implementation of OSH, 2) close-ended questionnaires using 5 categories from the Likert scale, and 3) documentation as supporting data. The validity used is a type of construct validity, which indicates the extent to which an instrument is able to reveal results that are in accordance with the theory. The study found that at the Antecedents (input) stage were in good category with an average score 3,99. At the Transaction (process) stage were in good category with an average score 3,48. At the Output (result) stage: there are no written records of work accidents and/ or occupational diseases. Additionally, in the last 5 years, there has never been a serious work accident that required medical treatment. Therefore, it can be concluded that an OSH implementation system has been established in the automotive workshop at SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the condition of the practical equipment in the Automotive Management and Maintenance Engineering Workshop at SMK N 2 Klaten. (2) Knowing the completeness of practical equipment at the Automotive Management and Maintenance Engineering Workshop at SMK N 2 Klaten. (3) Knowing the suitability of the type and amount of practical equipment in the Automotive Management and Maintenance Engineering Workshop at SMK N 2 Klaten in accordance with the standards of Permendikbud no. 34 years 2018. This study uses a descriptive method with teachers and Toolman as respondents. This research was conducted in June 2021 with data collection methods including interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The research is based on the objectives to be achieved, focused on the level of suitability of practical equipment in the Automotive Management and Maintenance Engineering workshop at SMK N 2 Klaten. The results obtained in this study are: (1) Automotive engine work area with an average percentage of 56.15% can be categorized accordingly. (2) The automotive electrical work area with an average percentage of 62.9% can be categorized accordingly. (3) The chassis and power transfer work area with an average percentage of 106.6% can be categorized as very suitable.

Abstract

Teknologi digital yang saat ini berkembang pesat menuntut semua bidang untuk bisa berinovasi, misalnya pada dunia pendidikan sendiri diharapkan dapat menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang menarik dan efektif. Salah satu inovasi yang berkembang pesat adalah penerapan Virtual Reality (VR), yang mampu menghadirkan pengalaman belajar imersif dan interaktif. Namun, permasalahan yang dihadapi di SMK Swasta Global Cendekia Pekanbaru adalah rendahnya minat belajar siswa, terutama pada materi yang bersifat teori dan abstrak. Kondisi ini terlihat dari rendahnya partisipasi aktif di kelas, fluktuasi kehadiran, dan menurunnya motivasi saat pembelajaran konvensional. Sebagai solusi, dilaksanakan Workshop Virtual Reality yang dirancang untuk memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada siswa dalam memanfaatkan teknologi VR sebagai media pembelajaran. Metode kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi konsep VR, demonstrasi penggunaan perangkat, praktik langsung oleh siswa, dan diskusi interaktif terkait penerapan VR dalam pembelajaran. Hasil pelaksanaan workshop menunjukkan peningkatan antusiasme dan keterlibatan siswa selama kegiatan, dengan respon positif terhadap penggunaan VR sebagai media belajar yang lebih menarik dan kontekstual. Kegiatan ini memberikan manfaat berupa terciptanya suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, peningkatan rasa ingin tahu, serta mendorong pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam proses pembelajaran di SMK Swasta Global Cendekia.
