Abstract

Tiwai Onion (Eleutherine bulbosa (Mill.) Urb.) is an Iridaceae tribe which is a typical plant of Borneo. Its used by the Dayak community, among others, for colon cancer, breast cancer, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, lowering cholesterol, strokes, boils, anti-bleeding and abdominal pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the components of anticancer compounds of chloroform fraction by GC-MS method. The results of GC-MS spectrum analysis based on the base peak equation of the chloroform fraction contain 9,12-Octadecadienoic Acid, and 1- (2,3,5,6-Tetramethyl phenyl) Ethanone which has the potential as an anticancer.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the relationship between the variables of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), LDR (Loan to Deposit Ratio), ROA (Return on Assets), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Interest Margin (NIM), and Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) with Non-Performing Loans (NPL), and to identify other potential factors influencing NPL. This research involves the analysis of data from 40 bank samples in Sumatra. The data analysis techniques used include significance tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, and regression analysis to understand whether the Capital Adequacy Ratio and other variables have a significant impact on Non-Performing Loans, as well as to explore the strengths and weaknesses of the regression model used. The results indicate that CAR has a significant relationship with NPL, while other variables such as LDR, ROA, ROE, NIM, and BOPO do not show a significant influence. The regression model demonstrates a strong correlation between the independent variables and NPL, with approximately 41.8% of the variation in NPL being explained by the independent variables in the model. Nonetheless, other factors need to be considered to fully understand the variation in NPL

Abstract

To enhance students' literacy and numeracy skills, SDN 1 Ngancar implemented the "Taman Dolanan Literasi dan Numerasi". This program comprises a Literacy Garden ("Lumbung Basa") and a Numeracy Playground. The aim of the "Taman Dolanan Literasi dan Numerasi" is to provide an innovative approach to improving children's basic literacy and numeracy skills at SDN 1 Ngancar. The "Lumbung Basa" Literacy Garden emphasizes the use of the Javanese language in students' daily lives, while the Numeracy Playground is an educational tool based on traditional games combined with fun literacy and numeracy activities. A qualitative approach was used to assess the program's effectiveness. This approach was chosen to determine the effectiveness of the "Taman Dolanan Literasi dan Numerasi" in improving students' literacy and numeracy skills through traditional games, encompassing planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.  Research results indicate an improvement in children's reading, writing, and numeracy skills after participating in the "Taman Dolanan Literasi dan Numerasi" program. Children demonstrated increased learning motivation, critical thinking skills, and collaborative skills through various traditional games such as congklak, engklek, and dakon. The implementation of this playground also successfully created an interactive and contextual learning environment, enabling children to understand basic literacy and numeracy concepts more meaningfully.  It not only supports cognitive development but also provides learning experiences relevant to local culture.
