Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah minyak plastik dapat digunakan sebagai bahan bakar alternative dan juga mengetahui pengaruh campuran minyak plastik denagan premium, pertalite dan juga pertamax terhadap performa emisi gas buang. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kadar emisi gas buang HC dan CO dengan mengunakan gas analyzer. Hasil penelitian ini di ketahui premium yang di campurkan minyak plastik 10 % mengalami penurunan sebesar 606 ppm HC dan CO mengalami penurunan sebesar 1,24%, untuk yang campuran 15% mengalami penurunan HC sebesar 701 ppm dan CO sebesar 1,3 % dari premium murni yang di uji. Denagan bahan bakar jenis pertalite denagn komposisi 10% minyak plastik gas HC mengalami penurunan sebesar 408 ppm dan CO sebesar 0,97 % , untuk komposisi 15 % mengalami penurunan gas HC sebesar 915ppm dan gas CO mengalami penurunan sebesar 3,04 % dari pertalite murni yang di uji. Untuk bahan bakar pertamax yang di campur 10% minyak plastik gas HC menurun sebesar 139 ppm untuk CO sebesar 0,33% dan campuran 15% menurun sebesar 398 ppm pada gas HC 0,93% pada gas CO dari pertamax yang di uji.

Abstract

Collaboration in environmental sanitation management activities was carried out between a team from the University of Muhammadiyah Jember, which was funded by Dikti Litbang PP Muhammadiyah together with ABK boarding school KH. Ahmad Dahlan Banyuwangi in an effort to realize good governance in environmental sanitation management and the implementation of healthy living for the community.Collaborative governance between the public and non-public or private sectors in the administration of government or governance, includes the totality of all institutions and elements of society, both government and non-government. In the concept of governance, several public affairs that were previously managed by a single actor, namely the government, become jointly managed with other actors such as the private sector and the community. the existence of governance makes the government no longer dominant and creates democracy in the administration of government and public affairs. The institutions of governance include three domains, namely the state (state or government), the private sector (private sector or the business world) and society (society) which interact with each other and carry out their respective functions, carry out their respective functions in the implementation of collaborative environmental sanitation management.

Abstract

Pemakaian energi fosil menyebabkan semakin berkurangnya jumlah cadangan persediaan minyak bumi mengakibatkan harga dan permintaan minyak yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan produksi. Indonesia yang berada di wilayah ekuator adalah daerah yang mempunyai sirkulasi angin Hadley, Walker dan lokal. Kondisi ini berpotensi untuk pembangunan Turbin Angin sebagai pemanfaatan energi angin untuk pembangkit listrik yang saat ini masih bergantung pada minyak bumi, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari efisiensi dan kinerja terbaik turbin angin sumbu vertikal variasi   sudu 3, 4 dan 5, dari bahan PVC board dengan ketebalan 25cm, tinggi sudu 75cm, tinggi tiang 100cm dan generator yang digunakan adalah generator DC 12 volt. dengan pengukuran terhadap putaran poros, arus dan tegangan keluaran generator. Data hasil penelitian paling tinggi didapat pada turbin angin dengan variasi 3 Sudu, pada kecepatan angin 6 m/s yang menghasilkan Daya Generator 2,38 Watt dan Putaran Poros 120 Rpm.

Abstract

Gapoktan Al-Barokah of Lombok Kulon, Wonosari Subdistrict, in Bondowoso Regency has started milling organic rice using husking machine thus produced raw red rice. Raw red rice is rice grain that has its husks removed. The study established that raw red rice is actually covered by hard husk which contains Phytic Acid that could obstruct nutrition absorption to the body. Other drawbacks from raw red rice is that soaking is required before cooking, the texture of the cooked rice is hard to eat, and its nutrition is difficult to digest. These make it less favorable among society therefore it is not in a good sale so far, resulting in low revenue of the organic rice farmers. Therefore, this program was initiated to enrich the quality of red rice products through adding a step into the milling process which is milling using sugawa machine to remove the hard husks. The final product expected from the program was organic embryo red rice that is easy for cooking, soft textured cooked rice, and digestable rice in order to increase the chance of optimal nutrition absorption to the body. Among several solutions offered in the program include supplying and testing a milling machine, production training and guidance, socializing and marketing. The first solution administered was supplying and testing a Sugawa machine to mill raw rice into embryo red and brown rice. Then, it was followed by providing a Sugawa pressure cooker tool to mix derived product from the materials used such as embryo rice and bran, that is embryo porridge and bran cereal. The training conducted in the program contains guidance for applying the SOP of producing embryo rice and its derivatives. While socialization was administered specifically to the board and partners of Gapoktan Al-Barokah, village government, field trainers, and muspika (council for local government) of Wonosari aiming to achieve a collective and sustainable movement, as well as a group of patients of degenerative illnesses from Community Health Center of Wonosari. Finally, it was followed by marketing that was performed during the socialization by providing samples of embryo red rice, embryo brown rice, and its derivatives. The embryo rice was packaged in a 1kg-vacuum bag, labelled with Botanik Beras Embrio Merah and Botanik Beras Embrio Coklat and thereby distributed to nearby stores around Wonosari subdistrict area.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyampaikan solusi terhadap permasalahan PKK Sriwijaya Sumbersari dalam mengembangkan usaha dengan cara memperbaiki branding dan packaging produk yang sudah dipasarkan, sehingga akan meningkatkan minat konsumen dan omset penjualan produk olahan. Adapun permasalahan yang ditemui antara lain; (1) Minimnya pengetahuan anggota terkait Pembuatan Branding dan Packaging produk yang higienis; (2) Menurunnya konsumen pembeli olahan gula aren di Masa Pandemi Covid-19; (3) Produk belum memiliki Branding dan Hygiene Plastic Packaging yang menarik. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah dengan (1) mengadakan pelatihan dan simulasi Branding Packaging produk Tali Abrem dan Bolu Kuwuk gula aren (2) Menyusun Brosur atau Modul Pelatihan; (3) Pendampingan mitra dalam mengoptimalkan potensi. Kegiatan penelitian dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, studi kasus, dan diskusi tanya-jawab.

Abstract

Pemilihan media pendingin pada proses perlakuan panas material Baja ST-41 merupakan faktor yang penting pada saat proses quenching dan mempengaruhi sifat-sifat mekanik material Baja ST-41. BajaaST-41 merupakan golongan baja karbon rendah yang memiliki kombinasi sifat mekanik yang baik, seperti: kekerasan, keuletan, dan ketangguhan. Baja ST-41 sering digunakan untuk bagian-bagian mesin, seperti: gear, rantai, skrup dan poros, selain itu di bidang produksi perkapalan, alat-alat perkakas dan pertanian,kkomponen-komponenootomotif dannkebutuhan rumahhtangga lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukkmengetahui pengaruhhvariasi media pendingin air belerang dan air radiator terhadap hasil uji kekuatan bending, uji kekerasan, dan analisa struktur mikro material Baja ST-41 pada suhu 800 °C, memiliki ketebalan plat 8 mm. Karakterisasi material Baja ST-41 dilakukan dengan uji kekuatan bending, uji kekerasan dan analisa struktur mikro. Media pendingin air radiator menunjukkan hasil terbaik dengan nilai kekuatan uji bending optimum dengan nilai rata-rata 66,94 MPa, sedangkan dengan media pendingin air belerang dengan nilai rata-rata 63,64 Mpa. Nilai uji kekerasan optimum diperoleh pada media pendingin air radiator dengan nilai rata-rata 44. Hasil analisa struktur mikro terbaik pada material uji yang menggunakan media pendingin air radiator, dimana menunjukkan kandungan fasa perlite lebih banyak dibandingkan fasa ferrite. Semakin banyak fasa perlite (memiliki sifat keras dan tangguh), maka sifat material ST-41 menunjukkan kenaikan sifat mekanik, yaitu meningkatnya nilai uji kekuatan bending dan uji kekerasan.

Abstract

The Jember Regency Main Garbage Bank has the role of fostering and coordinating the Unit Garbage Bank in the Jember Regency area. BSI had several problems in terms of how to sort polymer waste and the need for technological tools for processing plastic polymer waste. The purpose of the PKM activity is to convey knowledge, information and technology for processing plastic polymer waste. The socialization that has been delivered is related to thermoplastic and thermoset polymer waste processing technology based on physical, chemical, technological and mechanical properties, as well as management and marketing strategy for waste bank products. After interviews with BSI and BSU management, discussions with participants, mentoring, and evaluation with partners; The PKM team presented that a Garbage Bank in the city of Jember really needs a plastic polymer waste counting tool to realize the Zero Waste program, increase economic value, usability and aesthetic value. Processing of plastic polymer waste has several methods, namely; recycling plastic waste into handicraft products, turning plastic waste into pellets, processing plastic waste into; fuel oil, brick mixture, and asphalt, recycling process, namely; Hydrogenation, Glycolysis, Methanolysis, Hydrolysis, Gasification, Pyrolysis and Catalytic Conversion, Recycling methods, namely (primary, secondary, tertiary and quarter) recycling.

Abstract

The sustainability of livestock quality is greatly influenced by animal feed. Precision livestock feed products are very important for improving product quality and safety, improving the health and welfare of livestock, as well as reducing the environmental impact of livestock manure by processing it into natural organic fertilizer using a symbiotic mutualism technique between the animal husbandry and agriculture sectors. It is important for farmers to know how to ferment livestock waste to increase soil fertility. This process breaks down the organic materials in livestock manure into nutrients. This is necessary so that the nutrients are more stable and easily absorbed by plants; kills a number of parasites, bad bacteria and pathogens that can inhibit the plant growth process. For this reason, the livestock manure fermentation process is carried out correctly so that the results are optimal. With this fermentation method, plants show excellent growth and development and have superior quality when compared to plants without treatment. On the other hand, the Silage method is very suitable for stabilizing animal feed stocks. Farmers can make feed without having to look for grass every day, which still maintains its nutritional quality and the results show that almost all livestock like silage or this form of fermented feed.

Abstract

Microplastics are known to be composed of many chemical compounds, and there are compounds that act as hormone disruptors that can trigger insulin resistance. Children are the highest consumers of sugar-sweetened beverages in packaging (SSBs), which generally have plastic packaging. The study aimed to identify the presence of microplastics and polymer types of SSBs that are widely consumed in Indonesia, and evaluate their potential impact on health, especially the risk of diabetes mellitus in children. SSBs samples were taken from several brands in traditional and modern stores in Gresik Regency. The analysis was conducted by FT-IR test with the control variable being the water source from Beji Spring, Wonosalam. Furthermore, a literature review was conducted on the relationship between microplastics and diabetes mellitus in children. The results showed that the microplastics detected were filaments and fibers with polymers PET, PP, POM, EVOH and others. Microplastics are known to affect the performance of the pancreas so that it will cause diabetes mellitus in children. Reflecting on this condition, the government is expected to make quality standards for microplastics because of their harmful impact on the human body, especially children.
