Abstract

The phenomenon of budak cinta (bucin) in the romantic relationships of Indonesian adolescents requires partners to make sacrifices. It becomes crucial because it produces some negative impacts. The researcher explores the causal factors, behavioral patterns, and impact of bucin behavior. The model of the approach chosen is indigenization from within using two types of quantitative and qualitative analysis. This study showed that 78.3% of respondents had experienced bucin. Then the level of education, duration of relationships, and influence of the social environment can be factors in the tendency of individuals to behave bucin. In addition, this study formed several themes that raised the causative factors, behavioral forms, and impact of bucin when they were in a dating relationship. These three things are arranged based on a subtheme, which provides an overview and understanding of the conditions behind bucin behavior.

Abstract

Race is the diversity given by God Almighty. Race can be understood as the distinctive characteristics of a nation in groups based on different physical characteristics. This difference is a beautiful thing because humans do not only consist of one group, but also various groups with differences that can complement one another. Unfortunately, in the reality of social life, there is still discrimination against certain races with different physical forms from the majority in a region. The United States is an example of a country that has the highest level of racism in the world. The Asian-American race often experiences acts of racism that result in fatalities. BTS, a band from South Korea, became the representative of Asians invited by Joe Biden to speech at The White House to express their concern about hate crimes. The purpose of this study is to analyze BTS' speech regarding racial issues towards Asians at The White House from the perspective of Rhetorical theory using the elements of ethos, logos, and pathos. The speech reflected the reality of racism towards Asian ethnic groups, as well as a solution to end this problem by fighting racism at all levels of society. This research uses the interview method by collecting primary and secondary data from relevant books, journal articles, and websites to analyze the Rhetoric speech by BTS in order to get accurate results. The implications of the results of this study include improving Rhetoric not only used in Political occasions but can be used for anyone like BTS did from an entertainment background.

Abstract

The prolonged conflict in the Moluccas from 1999 to 2003 continues to induce anxiety today, particularly among survivors. Fear is centered on affective aspects, such as the onset of anxiety and worry, leading to avoidance of other religious groups within their in-group. This is referred to as intergroup anxiety. Based on the results of a literature review, one of the factors that can influence the reduction of intergroup anxiety among post-conflict survivors is forgiveness. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of forgiveness on intergroup anxiety. This study is a quantitative research project. Participants in this study were survivors of the Moluccas conflict, totaling 165 respondents who were selected using snowball sampling techniques. The study utilized the TRIM (Transgression Related Interpersonal Motivation Inventory) instrument and the intergroup anxiety scale. The data were analyzed using a simple linear regression test, resulting in a p-value of 0.731 (p > 0.05). These results indicate that forgiveness does not necessarily alleviate intergroup anxiety. There was no observed effect of forgiveness on intergroup anxiety among post-conflict survivors of the Moluccas. Demographic variables, such as religion and the impacts of conflict, also did not influence or differentiate the emergence of anxiety between groups.

Abstract

Etnografi menderita suatu krisis representasi internal.

The instruments used in this study were the Job Performance Scale (24 items, α = .856), Grit Scale (20 items, α = .604), and Social Support Scale (30 items, α = .877). The analysis test by the multiple linear regression with the hypothesis testing t-test statistic showed a positive and statistically significant influence of grit and social support on the sales promoter job performance, adjusted R 2 = .608; F(2, 177) = 140.057, p < .001.
