Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify and describe: The principal's management function in improving teacher performance. The research was conducted at MTs Mathla'ul Anwar Rejoagung, Tanjung Agung Village, Katibung District, South Lampung Regency. This type of research is qualitative and descriptive research, namely research that describes the function of principal management in improving the performance of MTs Mathla'ul Anwar Rejoagung teachers, Tanjung Agung Village, Katibung District, South Lampung Regency. Sources of data in this study are Primary Data, consisting of principals, vice principals, staff/employees, and teachers, and Secondary Data, obtained from library research and documentation. Data collection methods in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method is carried out by data processing (selecting, classifying, concluding results, and making data reduction). The results of the study indicate that the principal has carried out the stages of the management function well, from the planning stage to the supervision (controlling), but in practice, sometimes experiences obstacles to the lack of teacher awareness of discipline in teaching. The teacher's ability to evaluate learning is not yet comprehensive. Some of them still lead to cognitive aspects and psychomotor aspects are not paid attention to. Good principal management can improve teacher performance in planning, implementation, and evaluation. This can be seen from the increase in teacher discipline in teaching. The learning tools owned by the teacher are getting better and more complete.

Abstract

The enactment of regional government law number 32 of 2004 has had a major impact on the structure of village government. To run village government effectively, efficient administrative arrangements are crucial. Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 47 of 2016 stipulates the framework of village administration, covering general affairs, population, finance, development, and village deliberative bodies. However, the lack of understanding of computer technology in Essang Village, Sumenep Regency prompted the KKN 27 team to hold a village administration training program with a participatory approach. The method used was to conduct participatory training and mentoring for village staff and officials in several activities including counseling and preparation of practical guidebooks. The results of this activity were an increase in the skills of village officials in using computer technology for village governance. Thus, there was efficiency and transparency in village administration in Esang, Talango District, Sumenep Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SDN Telang 1 Bangkalan pada materi piktogram dengan menggunakan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT). Pendekatan CRT mengaitkan materi pelajaran dengan budaya dan pengalaman siswa agar pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 23 siswa kelas IV tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan CRT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat dari 31,65 pada pra-siklus menjadi 52,58 pada siklus I dan meningkat signifikan menjadi 82,02 pada siklus II. Selain itu, jumlah siswa yang mencapai kategori sangat baik dan baik meningkat menjadi 100% pada akhir siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi piktogram.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan filsafat ilmu metode penelitian pendidikan dasar dengan meletakkan objek kajian pada 2 (dua) hal yaitu mendeskripsikan filsafat ilmu metode penelitian ilmiah dan pendekatan metode penelitian yang dapat digunakan dalam upaya memecahkan problem-problem yang ada di bidang pendidikan dasar. Metode pengumpulan data adalah studi literatur. Data yang diperoleh dikompilasi, dianalisis, dan ditarik simpulan. Berdasarkan hasil kajian diketahui bahwa filsafat ilmu metode penelitian ilmiah merupakan usaha untuk mencari kebenaran sebagai bagian dari pengembangan ilmu pendidikan dasar. Pendekatan metode penelitian dalam bidang pendidikan dasar antara lain pendekatan metode positivistik, interpretif, dan kritis. Penelitian positivistik (penelitian empiris) dalam bidang pendidikan dasar menekankan pada jangkauan objek yang dapat dibuktikan secara empirik (nyata), seperti penelitian eksperimen, penelitian deskriptif, dan penelitian pengembangan. Penelitian interpretatif dalam bidang pendidikan dasar (penelitian kualitatif) lebih menekankan pada pemahaman subjektif tentang suatu objek yang berangkat dari upaya untuk mencari penjelasan tentang suatu peristiwa atau fenomena, seperti penelitian etnografi, fenomenologi, penelitian lapangan, dan studi kasus. Sedangkan penelitian kritis dalam bidang pendidikan dasar lebih menekankan pada pandangan tentang realitas yang bersifat majemuk dengan menekankan pada fungsi pembebasan individu serta perbaikan kualitas pembelajaran, seperti penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), penelitian tindakan kritis, maupun penelitian kebijakan kritis bidang pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media E-Comic tentang garam Madura pada materi sistem pencernaan. E-Comic tentang garam Madura yang terdapat materi dan kegiatan-kegiatan yang melibatkan lingkungan pada tambak garam dalam belajar. Selain itu, untuk mengetahui kelayakan media, kelayakan materi, respons peserta didik, dan keterbacaan peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan desain 4-D (Define, Design, development, Disseminate). Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Sreseh di Kabupaten Sampang pada semester ganjil 2023/2024. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan 24 peserta didik. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik random sampling. Data yang dianalisis terkait validitas media, validitas materi, respons peserta didik, dan keterbacaan peserta didik. Hasil validasi media sebesar 81,56 dengan kriteria sangat layak. Hasil validasi materi sebesar 81,59 dengan kriteria sangat layak. Hasil presentase respons peserta didik sebesar 0,93 dengan kriteria sangat baik, dan keterbacaan peserta didik memperoleh hasil 0,90 dengan kategori sangat layak. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa E-Comic tentang garam Madura dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran materi sistem pencernaan.

Abstract

This conceptual article formulates the Value–Reflective Pedagogy (VRP–3F) and its operational counterpart, the Reflective–Value Learning Model (RVLM), as an integrated framework to strengthen reflection-based value education in elementary schools. The proposed framework addresses the gap between conventional reflective practices—often limited to administrative activities at the end of lessons—and the need for meaningful reflection that nurtures moral awareness, ethical reasoning, and value-oriented action. In alignment with current educational policies emphasizing deep learning and holistic character formation, the VRP–3F model serves as a pedagogical guide for teachers to embed reflective-value learning throughout the instructional process. Through a theoretical synthesis and reflective thematic analysis, the VRP–3F framework integrates Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s Among philosophy, Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory, and Lickona’s Character Education model. The synthesis identifies three interrelated pillars of reflection: Feel (empathic–affective), Find (rational–cognitive), and Flow (practical–conative), forming a continuous cycle of value formation. The RVLM operational model elaborates these principles into seven core learning phases: value orientation, reality exploration, value reflection, value meaning construction, value appreciation, value enactment, and value reconstruction. The article concludes by recommending empirical implementation of VRP–3F and RVLM in value-based and deep-learning contexts to reinforce a reflective Pancasila pedagogy in Indonesian education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between digital literacy proficiency and the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) on employee performance in the economic industry. Digital literacy encompasses the ability to understand, use, and manage digital information effectively, which is a crucial element in supporting digital transformation in the workplace. Meanwhile, AI offers various opportunities to enhance productivity, efficiency, and innovation in company operations. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method to collect data from employees working in various sectors of the economic industry. The findings indicate that digital literacy proficiency has a significant positive correlation with employees' ability to utilize AI technology. Employees with high digital literacy are more likely to understand and optimally use AI applications to support their tasks. Furthermore, effective AI utilization has been proven to contribute to improving employee performance, particularly in aspects such as efficiency, work quality, and adaptability to new challenges. The combination of strong digital literacy and strategic AI utilization significantly impacts an organization’s success in facing competition in the digital economy era. This study emphasizes the importance of digital literacy training programs and the integrated implementation of AI technology to enhance employee competencies as part of human resource development strategies.

Abstract

The discourse of asceticism functions as a distinctive identity that reflects the idealization of pesantren life, rooted in a high level of spirituality. Previous studies have explored pesantren traditions from various angles but none have provided a holistic account of asceticism within pesantren. This research offers novelty by analyzing ascetic traditions through both discourse and social practice, highlighting how santri’s interaction with their social environment shapes and sustains these values. This study aims to present expressions of asceticism within linguistic discourse and to describe its dimensions in pesantren traditions as reflections of that discourse. This research is categorized as descriptive qualitative research, employing Fairclough's conception of discourse theory, focusing on both the textual level and the dimension of social practice. Two key findings emerge: first, the linguistic characteristics of the three pesantren reflect asceticism through calligraphy and Islamic advice, promoting spiritual deepening, socio-spiritual relationships, the strengthening of faith and reliance on God, the development of intellect and character, self-restraint from materialism, and a simple way of life.. Second, the dimension of asceticism in the pesantren tradition is reflected in spiritual practices and a distinctive lifestyle, such as concentration on God, affirmation of monotheism, love for the Prophet Muhammad, self-restraint from arrogance, and the creation of harmony through self-discipline. In conclusion, within the pesantren tradition, the conception of ascetic discourse is expressed through linguistic discourse that reflects the distinctive aspects of pesantren life in deepening Islamic spirituality and embracing simplicity. Further studies are needed to compare the varying ascetic traditions practiced in pesantren across different regions. In addition, conducting surveys with santri would help reveal their perspectives on how linguistic discourse shapes and influences these ideals. Wacana asketisme berfungsi sebagai identitas khas yang mencerminkan idealisasi kehidupan pesantren, yang berakar pada aspek spiritualitas tinggi. Kajian sebelumnya telah meneliti tradisi pesantren dari berbagai sudut namun belum ada yang memberikan gambaran menyeluruh tentang asketisme dalam pesantren. Penelitian ini menawarkan kebaruan dengan menganalisis tradisi asketis melalui perspektif wacana dan praktik sosial, serta menyoroti bagaimana interaksi santri dengan lingkungan sosialnya membentuk dan mempertahankan nilai-nilai tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan ekspresi-ekspresi asketisme dalam diskursus linguistik dan mendeskripsikan dimensinya dalam tradisi pesantren sebagai refleksi dari diskursus tersebut. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan mengambil konsepsi Fairclough tentang teori wacana kebahasaan pada tataran tekstual dan dimensi praktis sosial. Dua temuan utama muncul: Pertama, karakteristik linguistik di tiga pesantren mencerminkan ekspresi asketisme yang berasal dari seni kaligrafi dan nasihat Islam. Wacana ini menyampaikan rekomendasi untuk memperdalam hubungan spiritual dengan Allah, hubungan sosial-spiritual, keimanan dan tawakal, pengembangan intelektualitas dan akhlak, pengendalian diri terhadap materialisme, dan kesederhanaan hidup. Kedua, dimensi asketisme dalam tradisi pesantren terwujud dalam praktik-praktik spiritual dan gaya hidup yang khas. Dimensi-dimensi ini mengarah pada fenomena seperti latihan konsentrasi yang diarahkan kepada Allah, praktik yang menegaskan keesaan Allah, mencintai Rasulullah sebagai bagian dari rukun iman, pengendalian diri terhadap kesombongan, serta upaya untuk menciptakan keharmonisan melalui saling mengatur diri. Sebagai kesimpulan, dalam tradisi pesantren, konsepsi wacana asketisme diekspresikan melalui wacana linguistik yang berisi kekhasan kehidupan pesantren dalam memperdalam spiritualitas islami dan kesederhanaan. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk membandingkan berbagai tradisi asketis yang dipraktikkan di pesantren di berbagai daerah. Selain itu, pelaksanaan survei terhadap para santri akan membantu mengungkap perspektif mereka mengenai bagaimana wacana kebahasaan membentuk dan memengaruhi ideal-ideal tersebut.
