Abstract

One of the factors for the occurrence of acts of violence in the name of religion is inaccuracy in reading religious texts. One form of such inaccuracy is the literal reading of the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him). For example, the hadith whose editorship says that the Prophet (peace be upon him) once drove non-Muslims out of the Arabian Peninsula. This hadith will impact rigid understanding and foster anti-Muslim attitudes if taken literally. Therefore, in this paper, the author tries to re-read these hadiths using hermeneutic analysis to find the contextual meaning of these hadiths. This literature research is carried out qualitatively by collecting data from primary and secondary sources which are then analyzed using a hermeneutic approach. The conclusion is that the hadith was delivered by the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the position of head of state so that the hadiths he delivered had implications for state issues, not creed issues. The expulsion was not directed at non-Muslims as a whole but only at specific individuals who could threaten the stability of Medina at that time.

Abstract

This article is presented with the aim of re-describing Aksin Wijaya's interpretation of the interfaith marriage verse. This research is driven by the assumption of a strong patriarchal cultural influence in the interpretation process. This is further supported by the existence of a fatwa stating that a Muslim man is allowed to marry a woman from the People of the Book, but the reverse does not apply to women. Additionally, the narrowing and expanding of meanings when interpreting the above verse are also strong reasons for prioritizing this research. The author utilizes historical linguistic analysis as the research method. In simple terms, historical analysis is used to establish the Quranic verse as a social fact, while linguistics will examine the sentence structure and diction used in the Quran. This research concludes that interfaith marriage, according to Aksin Wijaya, is a historically rooted problem, and therefore, the established rules are also dynamic, depending on the social conditions in which the verse is interpreted.

Abstract

The advancement of technology has led to a diverse reception of the Qur'an, transcending traditional frameworks and manifesting through social media. This article examines the reception of the Qur'an in the animated film "Nussa and Rarra: Pahala Gratis," specifically in the episode titled "Pahala Gratis." The study employs a qualitative research method with a literature review as the data collection technique. The analysis utilizes the reception of the Qur'an in three aspects: exegesis, aesthetics, and functionality, aiming to reveal the impact and interaction between the Qur'anic religious message and the audience. Exegetical reception is evident through the quoting of Qur'anic verses by the character Nussa, specifically QS. al-Aʿrāf[7]: 199, which is then applied within the context of the story. Aesthetic reception is reflected in visual elements, animation, and the use of language, creating an aesthetic experience for the audience. Meanwhile, functional reception involves the implementation of religious values in the daily lives of the audience. The research findings indicate that the animated film "Nussa and Rarra: Pahala Gratis" serves not only as entertainment but also as an effective and creative tool for da'wah (religious outreach). The use of animation technology and creative narrative opens the door for the reception of the Qur'an among a broader audience, proving that religious messages can be conveyed through various forms of media, even those intended for entertainment.

Abstract

The approach to respond to the difference in views between Sunnis and Shiites about the meaning of God in their respective eyes. Correlating the two through their hadiths, can involve an in-depth understanding of the history, classification, parameters, and criteria for the validity of hadith in the two major schools of Islam. The striking differences between Sunnis and Shia include the Prophet's position as a source of hadith, the distribution of hadith, justice, and the credibility of the Companions. Sunnis consider the sahih hadith sanad to be uninterrupted from the narrator to the Messenger, while the Shia view the sahih hadith sanad when it is connected to the Messenger or Imam Ma'sum without being interrupted. In addition, Sunnis believe that all companions are fair, while Shiites have different views. To correlate the views of Sunnis and Shiites through their hadith, a careful and careful approach may be required. This can involve an in-depth analysis of the hadith recognized by both schools, such as.
