Abstract

Learning saturation is a person's psychological condition in the form of boredom and excessive fatigue, resulting in a lack of enthusiasm to carry out learning activities. If the student loses the spirit of learning and motivation in learning, the student will be saturated in learning. The large number of tasks at school makes students feel saturated and often ignores tasks. The focus of the research is to analyze teacher strategies in overcoming learning saturation during the online learning period. This study aims to find out what are the teacher's strategies in overcoming student learning saturation during the online learning period of class IV A. The method used is descriptive qualitative by using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data obtained using data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on data analysis, teacher strategies were obtained in overcoming learning saturation during the pandemic by applying various methods, approaching parents and students such as home visit activities and evaluating each end of learning by providing motivations to students.

Abstract

In the world of education, there are still some educators who have not implemented learning methods according to learning needs. This is due to the lack of teacher knowledge about teaching and learning techniques. The study aims to provide a reference for learning methods for teachers in the hope that educational goals will be achieved properly. This study uses the Kung Fu Panda film as a research object to analyze its learning methods so that it can be used as a reference or source for teachers out there. This study uses qualitative research design and content analysis techniques to describe messages or information in film clips that are relevant to the methods in the Kung Fu panda film, namely Interest-based learning, Demonstration learning, Drill learning, and Experiential learning. All methods are used to shape the character of Po and his other students into wise and intelligent people. The results of the study show that the techniques applied are in accordance with the main goal of education, namely guiding students to become knowledgeable, skilled, and characterful people. Abstract

The integration of digital literacy into language learning has been widely explored, yet studies focusing on adult English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners’ digital competence in academic settings remain limited. Previous research has highlighted general digital literacy frameworks (Reddy et al., 2023; Fadilah, 2023), teacher digital competence gaps (Giannikas et al., 2022), and the positive correlation between digital literacy and language proficiency (Wahyuddin et al., 2024). However, these studies have not specifically examined how adult EFL learners navigate digital literacy challenges, particularly in critical evaluation of online resources and cybersecurity awareness. This study aims to assess the digital competence of adult EFL learners, focusing on five key dimensions: general digital competence, technology integration in language learning, digital literacy and skills, digital communication and collaboration, and online safety. Using a structured questionnaire administered to 56 university students, the findings indicate that while students demonstrate strong proficiency in basic digital tasks and language learning applications (71% overall digital competence score), they struggle with critically evaluating online resources and cybersecurity practices. These results emphasize the need for structured pedagogical strategies, including targeted digital literacy training and collaborative learning environments, to enhance EFL learners’ technological integration skills. This study contributes to the effective implementation of digital literacy in EFL education by addressing the specific challenges faced by adult learners, ultimately fostering their linguistic and digital proficiency in academic and professional contexts. The findings imply that EFL programs should include targeted digital literacy education that tackles critical thinking and online safety. Strengthening these areas will enable adult learners to effectively navigate digital settings, promoting academic achievement as well as lifetime digital involvement.

Abstract

Speaking skill is essential in English language learning but remains challenging for primary school learners, especially in multicultural and multilingual contexts. This qualitative descriptive study explores an English teacher’s perspective on the use of audiovisual media to enhance speaking skills at a primary school in Southern Thailand. Data were collected through online semi-structured interviews and analyzed using a rigorous thematic analysis process involving open, axial, and selective coding, validated by peer debriefing. Findings indicate that authentic audiovisual materials promote interactive and contextual learning, improve vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence structure, and increase student confidence and participation. The study addresses a significant research gap in audiovisual media use in young learners within under-researched multilingual settings, offering novel insights into effective teaching strategies and multimedia scaffolding theories. This research provides practical implications for educators aiming to integrate technology to improve speaking proficiency.
