Abstract

Global injustice and inequality are problems related to the unequal distribution of resources and opportunities throughout the world. This causes a large number of people and countries to have limitations in achieving their potential. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare prospective citizens who are ready to face changes in the order of life in the country. Education is expected to be able to overcome the country's problems, especially injustice, and inequality. In building global insight and forming good global citizens, there are basic values contained in civic education. This value is the goal and foundation for the development of civics education. By using qualitative research methods through literature studies, the authors try to examine how important the role of civics education is in addressing global injustice and inequality. This research was conducted through several stages including collecting library data, taking notes, reviewing data sources, and processing information. The conclusion from this study is that it is important to involve the integration of civics education in the education system, focus on practical skills, community participation, research and innovation support, and building international alliances. Civic education also helps build a culture of tolerance and reinforces values of social solidarity to help eradicate discrimination and promote equality.

Abstract

Abstract: Training is an essential strategy for companies to enhance employee competence. The Basic Virtual Training (BVT) program is designed by the Agency Development Department at BRI Life to prepare new insurance agents with knowledge and skills related to insurance and marketing. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of BVT, including the challenges encountered and the solutions applied. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects include program implementers, training participants, and other relevant parties. Data analysis is conducted thematically to understand patterns and challenges in the training's implementation. The results of the study show that BVT is conducted online over two weeks, with three sessions per week, each batch lasting two days. The topics covered include company profile, insurance products, and negotiation skills. Challenges faced include technological limitations, varying levels of understanding among participants, and the limited duration of the training. Solutions include providing technical guides, using visual materials, adjusting the content, and utilizing interactive technologies such as polling and breakout rooms.Key Words: Human Resource Training, Competency Development, Insurance AgentAbstrak: Pelatihan adalah strategi penting bagi perusahaan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi karyawan. Basic Virtual Training (BVT) dirancang oleh Departemen Agen Development di BRI Life untuk mempersiapkan agen asuransi baru dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang asuransi dan pemasaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pelaksanaan BVT, termasuk kendala dan solusi yang diterapkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian melibatkan pelaksana program, peserta pelatihan, dan pihak terkait lainnya. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik untuk memahami pola dan kendala dalam pelaksanaan pelatihan. Materi yang diajarkan meliputi profil perusahaan, produk asuransi, dan keterampilan negosiasi. Kendala meliputi keterbatasan teknologi, variasi pemahaman peserta, dan durasi pelatihan yang terbatas. Solusi mencakup penyediaan panduan teknis, materi visual, penyesuaian materi, dan penggunaan teknologi interaktif seperti polling dan breakout room.Kata Kunci: Pelatihan SDM, Pengembangan, Kompetensi, Agen Asuransi

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to enhance reading interest through illustrated storybooks among third-grade students at SD Bunayya Islamic School Jakarta. This research is an action research or Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study are third-grade students at SD Bunayya Islamic School Jakarta, totaling 24 children consisting of 8 boys and 16 girls. The object of this research is reading interest, including pleasure, interest, initiative, and attention to illustrated storybooks. The research instruments used are observation sheets and documentation. Data analysis technique employs quantitative descriptive percentage technique. The results show that the initial reading interest of third-grade students at SD Bunayya Islamic School Jakarta can be improved by using illustrated storybooks as media. This is evidenced by an increase from pre-action to cycle II, where the pre-action result reached 28%, cycle I result reached 49%, and cycle II result reached 79%. The research was stopped after cycle II because it already met the success criteria of the indicators. The process of teaching and learning activities using illustrated storybooks involves the teacher showing the books to the children to be discussed that day according to the theme, the teacher engages the children in discussion by asking stimulating questions about the story, the teacher also introduces new vocabulary accompanied by meanings or definitions, and lastly, the teacher provides encouragement and motivation through expressions of encouragement or praise. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat membaca melalui media buku cerita bergambar pada siswa kelas III SD Bunayya Islamic School Jakarta.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas atau PTK. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SD Bunayya Islamic School Jakarta, dengan jumlah 24 anak yang terdiri dari 8 anak laki-laki dan 16 anak perempuan. Objek penelitian ini berupa minat membaca meliputi rasa senang, ketertarikan, berinisiatif dan perhatian pada buku cerita bergambar. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas III SD Bunayya Islamic School Jakarta dapat ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan media buku cerita bergambar. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan dari pra tindakan sampai dengan siklus II yaitu hasil pra tindakan mencapai 28%, hasil siklus I mencapai 49% dan hasil siklus II mencapai 79%. Penelitian dihentikan sampai siklus II karena sudah memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan indikator. Proses pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar mengajar menggunakan media buku cerita bergambar yaitu guru menunjukkan buku cerita bergambar kepada anak yang akan disampaikan pada hari itu sesuai dengan tema, guru mengajak anak-anak untuk bercakap-cakap dengan memberikan rangsangan melalui beberapa pertanyaan mengenai cerita bergambar, guru juga memperkenalkan kosakata baru yang disertai arti atau pengertiannya, tidak lupa guru memberikan dorongan dan motivasi berupa ungkapan penyemangat atau pujian.

Abstract

Pada era ekonomi digital, Artificial Intelligence (AI) menawarkan peluang strategis untuk meningkatkan kapasitas usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM). Fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana Program Empower Equality AI Initiative (EQUAL), yang berbasis AI Co-Pilot, berdampak pada pemberdayaan sosial, ekonomi, dan digitalisasi para pelaku UMKM. Desain penelitian ini studi kasus multipel dengan embedded analysis. Penelitian menganalisis perubahan omzet, efisiensi biaya, produktivitas, kepercayaan diri, jejaring sosial-ekonomi, partisipasi komunitas, serta keterampilan dan integrasi AI ke strategi usaha. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 7 peserta program EQUAL yang terlibat dalam penelitian melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan diskusi fokus grup (FGD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya tiga transformasi utama. Pertama, transformasi literasi dan kesadaran digital, di mana peserta beralih dari sikap pasif terhadap AI menuju pemahaman fungsional dan aplikatif. Kedua, transformasi kapabilitas sosial, yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya rasa percaya diri, partisipasi dalam jejaring digital, serta pengakuan sosial. Ketiga, transformasi kapabilitas ekonomi, melalui pemanfaatan AI Co-Pilot untuk desain produk, strategi pemasaran digital, dan pengelolaan usaha yang lebih efisien. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa program berbasis AI tidak hanya berimplikasi pada transformasi bisnis, tetapi juga memiliki dimensi sosial yang signifikan bagi keberlanjutan pemberdayaan UMKM.

Abstract

The conflict between humans and elephants can cause disadvantages for both humans and elephants in the form of property and loss of life. The objective of this study was to determine community perceptions of the conflict between humans and elephants. Data were collected through interviews with thirty respondents by using a questionnaire as guidance. The respondents were randomly selected from Tegal Yoso Village, Purbolinggo District, East Lampung Regency, which is one of the buffer villages of the Way Kambas National Park (TNWK). The results showed that 100% of the community declared elephants as plant destroyers, and 97% of plant consumers. The results also revealed that 100% of the community has a positive perception by considering elephants as an endangered species and has the potential to become tourist attractions, while 97% or the community considered elephant as a charismatic animal, beautiful, having a strong memory, and sensitive. The community showed awareness of the conservation of Sumatran elephants. It was shown from their attitude in dealing with the elephants that enter the agricultural area by reporting to the authorized officer. The Elephant Response Unit (ERU) in Tegal Yoso and the community need to increase safeguards to reduce conflicts between elephants and humans in the buffer zone of TNWK. Abstract

Inmates in correctional institutions represent a segment of society requiring continuous development to prepare for post-sentence social reintegration. This study aims to examine the implementation and outcomes of self-employment skills training through culinary workshops, specifically targeting inmates at Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas III Rangkasbitung. The method used is participatory with a descriptive approach. The study involved 20 inmate informants, comprising 4 women and 16 men. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The training program focused on the preparation of kimbab as a form of practical entrepreneurship development. The results indicate that the training positively impacted the improvement of inmates’ skills, as evidenced by the quality of the kimbab products and participants’ enthusiastic responses. Beyond technical success, the training fostered increased self-confidence, motivation for independent living, and readiness among inmates to contribute productively to society after release. These findings reinforce the urgency of developing practical skill-based training programs in correctional facilities as a sustainable strategy for empowerment and social reintegration.
