Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of the Qira’ati method in improving children’s ability to read the Qur’an at Majelis Nurul Huda. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, with the research subjects being children participating in Qur’an learning, and the research object being the process of implementing the Qira’ati method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques, supported by source and technique triangulation to maintain data validity. The findings show that the Qira’ati method is effective in helping children recognize hijaiyah letters, read with tartil, and observe tajwid rules. Moreover, this method fosters self-confidence, discipline, and independent learning in children. Supporting factors include student motivation, the teacher’s role as facilitator and motivator, and a conducive learning environment, while obstacles consist of differences in children’s abilities and limited facilities. Thus, the Qira’ati method is recommended as an effective alternative for Qur’an learning, both in formal and non-formal institutions, as it has been proven to improve technical reading skills while shaping positive attitudes in children.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed educational practices, including those within Islamic schooling systems. This study investigates the challenges, opportunities, and ethical implications of integrating AI technologies into Islamic education. The research aims to analyze how AI tools—such as adaptive learning systems, gamified instruction, digital learning content, and automated administration—enhance learning personalization, access, and engagement while maintaining Islamic educational values. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study synthesizes findings from academic literature, case studies, and expert perspectives on AI-based pedagogy in Islamic contexts. The results reveal that AI contributes positively to improving instructional efficiency, contextualized learning, and global collaboration among Islamic institutions. However, the findings also highlight critical ethical concerns, including content conformity with Islamic teachings, data privacy, the risk of dehumanization in learning, and algorithmic bias. These issues underscore the need for value-sensitive AI design that complements, rather than replaces, human educators. The study contributes to the discourse on responsible technology integration in religious education, proposing a framework for ethical and culturally grounded AI implementation that preserves the spiritual, moral, and humanistic essence of Islamic learning.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan masalah kesehatan serius di Indonesia yang berdampak pada kualitas sumber daya manusia di masa depan. Upaya pencegahan memerlukan keterlibatan berbagai pihak, termasuk perguruan tinggi melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberdayakan mahasiswa Institut Agama Islam Nasional (IAI-N) Laa Roiba Bogor dalam edukasi pencegahan stunting dengan memanfaatkan media flyer kreatif yang terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan desain pretest–posttest satu kelompok. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Kampung Malimping, Desa Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor, melibatkan 35 responden yang terdiri dari ibu hamil, ibu menyusui, dan kader posyandu. Intervensi meliputi workshop capacity building mahasiswa, pelatihan desain grafis, sosialisasi kesehatan yang dilaksanakan selama satu hari, dan distribusi flyer yang berlangsung berkelanjutan selama periode KKN. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan rata-rata skor pengetahuan dari 11,4 menjadi 16,2 (p<0,001) dan sikap positif meningkat 29%. Kategori pengetahuan "baik" meningkat dari 8,6% menjadi 62,9%, sementara kategori "kurang" hilang sepenuhnya. Evaluasi efektivitas flyer menunjukkan nilai sangat baik pada aspek pemahaman, daya tarik visual, dan kegunaan sebagai pengingat. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pemberdayaan mahasiswa melalui media kreatif efektif meningkatkan literasi kesehatan masyarakat dan memperkuat peran perguruan tinggi sebagai motor perubahan sosial. Model ini berpotensi direplikasi di wilayah lain untuk mendukung percepatan penurunan stunting nasional secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

Soft skill development is an essential part of pesantren education, aiming to foster creativity, independence, and teamwork among students. One of the implementations of this development was carried out through a handicraft program using simple materials such as ice cream sticks, flannel fabric, hot glue, candles, lighters, and additional decorative items. This program was carried out by the national PKM IAI team from Bogor at Maahad Tahfiz Arabic Al Gontory Lil Banat, involving 45 students divided into 10 groups, each consisting of 4–5 members. The activity was implemented within 90 minutes of crafting time, followed by a 5-minute presentation session for each group to showcase their work. The results of the activity showed that the students were able to produce various creative handicrafts with aesthetic value by utilizing simple materials. Moreover, this program successfully enhanced students’ teamwork, creativity, and communication skills through group discussions and presentations. It also increased their confidence in presenting their work in front of peers. Therefore, handicraft activities not only foster creativity but also serve as an effective medium for developing soft skills that are highly relevant to students’ future lives.
