Abstract

This study aims to develop mathematics learning media using ethnomathematical elements in Javanese batik which are called an android-based ethnobatic application. Ethnobatics is an android-based learning application designed to be used in learning mathematics combined with Javanese batik culture to increase students' interest and understanding in learning mathematics by relating everyday realities through Javanese batik motifs. The research method used in this study is RnD (Research and Development) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire instrument to test the validity of the application used for expert validators and elementary school students as users. The results of this study indicate that the android-based ethnobatic application can be used as a medium for learning mathematics based on the assessment of expert validators and also the assessment of students in the use of ethnobatic applications in mathematics learning activities.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas layanan perpustakaan menuntut strategi yang tepat dalam pengelolaan koleksi buku, khususnya dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dan preferensi pemustaka. Salah satu permasalahan umum yang dihadapi adalah ketidaksesuaian antara koleksi yang tersedia dengan minat baca pengguna. Pemanfaatan teknologi data mining dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan menjadi penting untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan berbasis data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelompokkan data peminjaman buku menggunakan metode K-Means Clustering guna menentukan kebutuhan penambahan buku di Perpustakaan Depan SMK Negeri 8 Jakarta. Tahapan penelitian meliputi seleksi data, penentuan jumlah cluster dan centroid awal, serta proses iteratif hingga mencapai konvergensi. Hasil clustering menunjukkan dua kelompok utama, yaitu buku yang sering dipinjam dan buku yang jarang dipinjam. Buku dengan tingkat peminjaman tertinggi berdasarkan kategorinya direkomendasikan untuk ditambah dalam koleksi guna memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna. Proses clustering menghasilkan pemisahan cluster yang stabil dan mampu merepresentasikan pola peminjaman secara akurat, dengan nilai Silhouette Coefficient sebesar 0,63. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode clustering yang diterapkan berjalan secara efektif dan menghasilkan kualitas pengelompokan yang baik. Implementasi metode ini terbukti mendukung perumusan strategi penambahan buku secara objektif dan efisien.

Abstract

This study demonstrates the methodological contribution of applying the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC) framework to a previously underexplored setting: an academic Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab). Key findings reveal that the facility’s pre-assessment safety profile was medium-high, primarily due to critical hazards such as exposed electrical cables and obstructed emergency equipment. By employing a systematic, qualitative approach and implementing a tailored control plan based on the hierarchy of controls, the study successfully reduced the overall risk level to low-medium. The research concludes that the HIRAC method offers a replicable and effective model for proactive risk management in academic makerspaces, ultimately enhancing safety culture through structured assessment and prioritized intervention.
