Abstract

Change is a necessity. We must accept these changes with open arms. There is no other choice but to respond to the challenge of change by preparing various components to welcome it. Various resources must be prepared, especially in terms of human resources. We must prepare competent leadership who has a vision of the future that can answer these challenges. This study uses a descriptive qualitative methodology with a Library Research approach. The millennium has brought us many challenges and many opportunities for leadership. Leadership is no longer fixated on electing a few who are given power and authority. Each must be engaged to make full use of the knowledge and information that forms the basis of working life in the world of advanced technology in this century. Self-leadership is the key to enhancing learning which is necessary to enable us to face the challenges of a knowledge-based and information- rich age. Superleadership provides a tool for leaders to be able to create self-leadership in others. Religion plays a very important role in leadership. Anyone who enforces leadership, if it is done from a religious perspective, is actually continuing the prophetic mission (nubuwwah) and this applies throughout time. Becoming an effective leader requires a fairly complex process. Many factors influence the birth of future leaders. From a religious, philosophical, psychological and sociological perspective we will be able to see the importance of education in an effort to produce future leaders.

Abstract

Scrutinizing the education quality should include teachers as a forefront in the education world. Even a good curriculum and programs will be meaningless if teachers do not implement them responsibly and consistently. This study aims to determine; (1). How is the teachers’ performance supervision program in MAN 2 Banjarmasin and MAN 3 Banjarmasin; (2) How is the organizing program for teachers’ performance supervision in MAN 2 Banjarmasin and MAN 3 Banjarmasin; (3). How are the movement and leadership of teachers’ performance supervision in MAN 2 Banjarmasin and MAN 3 Banjarmasin; (4) How to control teacher performance supervision effectiveness in MAN 2 Banjarmasin and MAN 3 Banjarmasin. (5) How are the creative and innovative ideas in actualizing teachers’ performance supervision effectiveness in MAN 2 Banjarmasin and MAN 3 Banjarmasin. Meanwhile, the results of this study were; (1) the planning program had not been implemented effectively due to problems of limited resources; (2) organizing supervision had not been carried out optimally; (3) the movement and leadership had run relatively well; however, improvements are still required in the managerial aspects of leadership; (4) controlling the effectiveness of teachers’ performance supervision was gradually conducted; (5) creative and innovative ideas emphasized the strengthening of teachers’ performance supervision Madrasah Aliyah education units and e-Kinerja application. In addition, implementation and evaluation of teachers’ performance supervision in MAN 2 Banjarmasin and MAN 3 Banjarmasin had been implemented in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) issued by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. Nevertheless, the results were still ineffective due to problems of various resource limitations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi rendahnya kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya, hal ini terungkap secara nasional dalam uji kompetensi guru yang dilaksanakan pemerintah dan masih banyak kenyataan guru melaksanakan kegiatan mengajarnya saja tidak dengan dedikasi dan inovasi itupun masih banyak yang bermalas-malasan. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui manajemen supervisi akademik yang dilakukan Kepala Sekolah di Sekolah Dasar Negeri, pelaksanaan supervisi akademik dalam peningkatan kinerja guru, untuk mengetahui masalah dan kelemahan dalam melaksankan supervisi akademik dan untuk mengetahui upaya dan langkah perbaikan yang dilakukan pengawas dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di Sekolah manajemen SDN Cintawargi 1, SDN Cintalaksana 1 dan SDN Mulangsari IV Karawang. Penelitian ini berlandaskan teori Tery (2016), teori Robin and Coulter (2009) tentang fungsi-fungsi manajemen, teori supervisi Wiles (2012) Farmer and Farmer (2018) tentang model supervisi,teori Bernardin dan Russel (2012) tentang kinerja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi, dengan sumber data terdiri dari pengawas, Kepala Sekolah, guru SDN Cintawargi 1, SDN Cintalaksana 1 dan SDN Mulangsari IV Kabupaten Karawang. Hasil penelitian: Manajemen supervisi akademik Kepala Sekolah di SD Negeri Kabupaten Karawang dilakukan untuk mengefektifkan kegiatan kepengawasan dengan melakukan perencanaan terlebih dahulu baik perencanaan untuk pembinaan guru, perencanaan penilaian kinerja guru dan kepala sekolah, pembimbingan dan pelatihan professional guru. Pelaksanaan tentang manajemen supervisi akademik untuk peningkatan kinerja guru, yang lebih mengarah pada penilaian kinerja yang dicapai oleh guru dan kepala sekolah. Upaya dan langkah-langkah perbaikan dari masalah yang dihadapi kepala sekolah dan kelemahannya dalam melaksanakan supervisi akademik untuk peningkatan kinerja guru, yang lebih mengarah pada peningkatan kompetensi personal, kemauan guru untuk termotivasi dan mengubah menuju peningkatan kinerja perbaikan prosedur dan berusaha mengusulkan kepada para pemangku kebijakan untuk mendukung peningkatan profesionalitas guru.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) lebih baik dibandingkan peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif quasi experimental dengan bentuk the nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 di suatu sekolah menengah pertama di Cianjur yaitu MTs Negeri 6, dipilih 2 kelas yaitu kelas VIII F sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dan VIII H sebagai kelas kontrol yang diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Setiap kelas memiliki 37 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa instrumen tes tulis kemampuan literasi matematis. Pengolahan data peningkatan literasi matematis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang dilakukan didapatkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) lebih baik dibandingkan peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik.

Abstract

Abstract. This research is motivated by the low of competence of Pendidikan Agama Islam (Islamic Religious Education, PAI) teachers in implementing a qualified learning of PAI, so the role of supervisors is questionable. The purpose of this study is to describe how the supervisor’s strategy in fostering PAI teachers in improving the quality of learning through MGMP empowerment. A qualitative approach with interviews, observations, and documentation was used to explore data on PAI teachers in the city of Bandung. The results of the study found that the Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (Subject Teacher Meetings, MGMP) strategy emphasized on six competencies that must be possessed by PAI teachers through activities in MGMP has been running well, directed, clear, and sustainable, but clear and firm regulations are needed regarding MGMP organizational governance and the competence of supervisors in coaching teachers should be strengtened.

Abstract

Abstract.  This research is motivated by a phenomenon in the field showing that Islamic Religious Education (IRE) Supervisors even though they have attended education and training, their competencies are still not optimal, even according to the results of the evaluation of the Directorate of Career Development and Performance Assessment, Ministry of Education and Culture in the last 2 (two) years experiencing decline. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Education and Training Program for Strengthening the Competence of Islamic Religious Education Supervisors organized by the Bandung Religious Education and Training Center.  Based on the comparison of the success criteria with Kirkpatrick’s evaluation performance, the implementation of the Training Program for Strengthening the Competence of Islamic Religious Education Supervisors was very successful, went as expected and provided useful results, and had contributed to developing the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of supervisors, the program of The Training for Strengthening the Competence of Islamic Religious Education Supervisors can be continued for the next batch.Keywords: Evaluation, Islamic Religious Education (IRE), Kirkpatrick, Education and Training

Abstract

This study reveals the potential of ChatGPT in supporting students' mathematics learning. However, the study's results also show challenges in utilising ChatGPT, such as inconsistent answer quality and potential student dependence on technology. This indicates the need for a more holistic approach to integrating ChatGPT into the learning process. This study aimed to analyse ChatGPT's ability to answer quantitative knowledge and mathematical reasoning questions, assess students' prompting abilities with ChatGPT, evaluate the use of ChatGPT, and measure the extent to which students' mathematical, creative and critical abilities have increased. This study uses an Embedded Design type of Mixed Method approach. The population in this study were all high school students who took the Tridaya Tutoring Program 2024/2025. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, and the sample selected was all 20 students from class XII of Tridaya Tutoring High School. The research instruments used were written tests, namely multiple-choice questions and documentation studies of screenshots of ChatGPT answer results. The study results showed that the t value for measuring creative and critical abilities was 6.691 and 7.151. It was found that there was a significant difference between the test scores obtained before and after the treatment. This shows that the instructions given to students can improve their test scores. ChatGPT can help students in learning as a virtual tutor. However, it should also be noted that not all questions can be answered. Some even have different answers. This makes students dissatisfied with the results obtained. This is where students are trained in critical thinking why this can happen. In addition, the student's prompting technique for ChatGPT is also considered. There is a need for creativity in prompting so students can further explore the answers from ChatGPT. Although they can answer any question, guidance from the teacher and independent verification are needed regarding the answers given by ChatGPT so that the desired answer is by expectations. Penelitian ini mengungkap potensi ChatGPT dalam mendukung pembelajaran matematika siswa. Namun, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan tantangan dalam memanfaatkan ChatGPT, seperti kualitas jawaban yang tidak konsisten dan potensi ketergantungan siswa pada teknologi. Hal ini menunjukkan perlunya pendekatan yang lebih holistik untuk mengintegrasikan ChatGPT ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan ChatGPT dalam menjawab pertanyaan pengetahuan kuantitatif dan penalaran matematika, menilai kemampuan prompting siswa dengan ChatGPT, mengevaluasi penggunaan ChatGPT, dan mengukur sejauh mana kemampuan matematika, kreatif, dan kritis siswa meningkat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Mixed Method tipe Embedded Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMA yang mengikuti Program Bimbingan Belajar Tridaya 2024/2025. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dan sampel yang dipilih adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII SMA Bimbingan Belajar Tridaya yang berjumlah 20 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis, yaitu soal pilihan ganda dan studi dokumentasi berupa tangkapan layar hasil jawaban ChatGPT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai t untuk mengukur kemampuan kreatif dan kritis adalah 6,691 dan 7,151. Ditemukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai tes yang diperoleh sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa petunjuk yang diberikan kepada siswa dapat meningkatkan nilai tes mereka. ChatGPT dapat membantu siswa dalam belajar sebagai tutor virtual. Namun, perlu diperhatikan juga bahwa tidak semua soal dapat dijawab. Bahkan ada yang jawabannya berbeda-beda. Hal ini membuat siswa tidak puas dengan hasil yang diperoleh. Di sinilah siswa dilatih untuk berpikir kritis tentang mengapa hal tersebut dapat terjadi. Selain itu, teknik prompting siswa untuk ChatGPT juga diperhatikan. Perlu adanya kreativitas dalam prompting agar siswa dapat lebih mengeksplorasi jawaban dari ChatGPT. Meskipun dapat menjawab soal apa saja, diperlukan arahan dari guru dan verifikasi mandiri terkait jawaban yang diberikan ChatGPT agar jawaban yang diinginkan sesuai dengan harapan.

Abstract

Implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka is a curriculum development policy implemented by the Ministry of Education and Culture for students' learning in schools. The development carried out is in the form of a variety of extra-curricular learning through optimizing content so that students have enough time to explore concepts and improve competencies. Implementation of the curriculum by schools has begun to be implemented in 2021, namely by the first-generation Sekolah Penggerak as many as 2,499 schools throughout Indonesia. The number of schools assisted in this activity were 5 elementary schools in the Garut district, SDN 1 Jayaraga, SDN 1 Lebak Agung, SDN 4 Bagendit, SD IT Cokro Aminoto, and SD IT Alam Garut. To succeed in implementing the curriculum in the five Sekolah Penggerak, 5 types of interventions were carried out consisting of consultative and asymmetrical assistance; strengthening school human resources; learning with a new paradigm; data-driven planning; and digitalization of schools. Facilitators tasked with assisting principals, teachers and school supervisors, aim to realize a student-centered school. To achieve this goal, the method applied to the assistance of the five schools in the driving school program is Participatory Action Research (PAR). This method was developed in the form of: 1) Encouraging collaboration across the school education ecosystem and stakeholders in the district; 2) Developing a Community of Principal Practitioners, Teachers, and School Supervisors; 3) Developing the competence of Principals, Teachers, and School Supervisors; 4) Monitoring the learning progress of the Principal, School Supervisor, and Teachers. The results of the implementation of mentoring activities indicate that the strengthening of the resources of school principals, teachers, and school supervisors in implementing the implementation of an independent curriculum has been achieved; achieving an understanding of the new learning paradigm; the need for increased understanding of data-based planning and school digitization Keywords: Kurikulum Merdeka, Sekolah Penggerak, Facilitator, Elementary Schools

Abstract

The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study are, first, the planning program has not been implemented effectively due to the problem of limited resources. Second, the implementation of supervision has not been carried out optimally. Third, the movement and leadership went relatively well; however, improvements are still needed in the managerial aspects of leadership. Fourth, controlling the effectiveness of teacher performance supervision is carried out in stages. Fifth, creative and innovative ideas emphasize strengthening supervision of teacher performance in Madrasah Aliyah education units and e-Kinerja applications. In addition, the implementation and evaluation of teacher performance supervision have been carried out by the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) issued by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. However, the results are still not practical due to various resource constraints.
