Abstract

Organizations need to treat human resources as a crucial production factor to enhance employee performance through cooperation and a supportive work environment. At Metro Hospitals M Toha, high absenteeism and low productivity are challenges that necessitate an effective organizational communication model to improve performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership models and communication styles on employee performance, particularly in the inpatient ward, to enhance management practices in healthcare. The research at Metro Hospitals M. Toha in Tangerang uses a mixed-method approach to integrate qualitative and quantitative data, aiming to analyze the impact of leadership styles and organizational communication on employee performance through surveys, interviews, observations, and documentation from February to July 2024. The study concludes that the transformational leadership style at Metro M. Toha Hospital enhances employee performance, with performance declining if this style diminishes. Two-way communication styles, such as the Equalitarian, are also positively related to performance. Transparency and consistency in communication reduce misunderstandings and enhance motivation. The synergistic relationship between transformational leadership and effective communication boosts productivity, especially in inpatient wards. It is recommended to enhance this leadership style through participative approaches and communication training, as well as building a collaborative organizational culture

Abstract

There is a change in how teachers teach and students learn, which was initially done face-to-face at school, but now can be done online. The use of interactive learning media still needs to be improved due to the need for mastery of technology owned by teachers. Many teachers still need to understand practical learning applications for teachers and students. Students become less interested in participating in distance learning activities due to the limited use of various applications. So PKM activities were held as training workshops for making Edpuzzle-based teaching materials. The workshop was held for four days and involved 236 participants from various regions in Indonesia, such as Samarinda, Pekanbaru, and several areas in West Java. The activity method is divided into three steps: 1) preparation, 2) implementation, and 3) evaluation. Evaluation results based on questionnaire data show that 71% of teachers are assisted in monitoring student learning progress, and teachers can implement their work into learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the ability of creative thinking, to see the picture of self-regulated learning, and to analyze the effect of creative thinking ability on self-regulated learning through the implementation of the Scientific approach. This research method is a mixed method of insertion type. The research instrument used was a creative thinking ability test, observation, self-regulated learning scale, and interviews. The population in this study were students in a private high school in Bandung with a sample of 2 classes. The increase in creative thinking skills was analyzed by normalized gain scores, the description of self-regulated learning was analyzed by Post Hoc Tests, while the effect of creative thinking skills on self-regulated learning was used regression analysis. The results showed that the increase in the creative thinking ability of students who received the Scientific approach was better than the students who received conventional learning, there was no difference in the self-regulated learning of students who received learning using the Scientific approach and conventional models, and there was no difference the effect of creative thinking ability on self-regulated learning in learning with scientific approaches, and conventional ones.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kreatif, melihat gambaran kemandirian belajar, dan menganalisis pengaruh kemampuan berfikir kreatif terhadap kemandirian belajar melalui implementasi pendekatan scientific. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran tipe penyisipan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif, observasi, skala kemandirian belajar, dan wawancara. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik di salah satu SMA swasta Bandung dengan sampel sebanyak 2 kelas. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dianalisis dengan skor gain ternormalisasi, gambaran kemandirian belajar dianalisis dengan Tes Post Hoc, sedangkan pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kreatif terhadap kemandirian belajar digunakan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kreatif peserta didik yang memperoleh pendekatan Scientific lebih baik daripada peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, tidak terdapat perbedaan kemandirian belajar peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Scientific maupun konvensional, serta tidak terdapat pengaruh kemampuan berfikir kreatif terhadap kemandirian belajar pada pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Scientific, maupun konvensional.

Abstract

The current low level of students' numeracy ability has not been matched by the in-depth use of digital platforms such as Microsoft Kaizala. Therefore, this research aims to develop Mobile Learning-based teaching materials assisted by Microsoft Kaizala, focusing on students' numeracy ability and learning interest. The developed teaching materials were analyzed for their feasibility and effectiveness in improving students' numeracy ability and learning interest by two media experts and four material experts. The research utilized the Research and Development model ADDIE, involving 34 junior high school students in the city of Bandung. Instruments used included validation sheets, questionnaires, interviews, and numeracy skill tests. Data were analyzed using effect size, Pearson correlation, and descriptive statistics. The results of the research indicate: (1) The teaching materials are considered feasible by content experts and highly suitable by media experts; student responses fall into the excellent category. (2) Students' numeracy ability are categorized as moderate. (3) Students' learning interest is categorized as good. (4) The teaching materials are effective in improving students' numeracy ability. (5) There is no correlation between students' numeracy ability and learning interest. Therefore, the teaching materials can be utilized in mathematics learning based on m-learning. Integrating digital platforms into teaching materials can be a practical solution for teachers to optimize flexible and interactive numeracy learning. Abstrak Rendahnya kemampuan numerasi siswa saat ini belum diimbangi dengan pemanfaatan platform digital seperti Microsoft Kaizala secara mendalam. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis Mobile Learning berbantuan Microsoft Kaizala yang berorientasi pada kemampuan numerasi dan minat belajar siswa. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dianalisis kelayakan dan efektivitasnya pada kemampuan numerasi dan minat belajar siswa oleh dua orang ahli media dan empat orang ahli materi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development model ADDIE yang melibatkan 34 siswa SMP di Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi, angket, wawancara, dan tes kemampuan numerasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan effect size, Pearson correlation, dan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Bahan ajar termasuk kategori layak dari ahli materi dan sangat layak dari ahli media, berdasarkan respon siswa berada pada kategori sangat baik; (2) Kemampuan numerasi siswa termasuk dalam kategori sedang; (3) Minat belajar siswa termasuk dalam kategori baik; (4) Bahan ajar efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa; dan  (5) Tidak terdapat korelasi antara kemampuan numerasi dan minat belajar siswa. Sehingga bahan ajar dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika berbasis m-learning. Integrasi platform digital dalam bahan ajar dapat menjadi solusi praktis bagi guru untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran numerasi yang fleksibel dan interaktif.

Abstract

Indonesian students often struggle with solving math problems, especially when it comes to geometry, like problems involving triangles. However, previous studies have mostly focused on SQ3R in reading comprehension or general mathematics learning, leaving a gap in its application to geometry-based problem-solving. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of integrating the SQ3R strategy to enhance students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities on triangle materials. The research used a quantitative-qualitative method with a quasi-experimental design, and included two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The students were from a seventh-grade class at SMP Negeri 4 Cimahi, and they were divided into the two groups based on purposeful selection. Data was gathered through problem-solving tests, classroom observations, and other records. The results showed that the group that used SQ3R improved much more in their problem-solving skills compared to the group that didn’t use it. The SQ3R method helped students break down problems, come up with plans, do calculations, and check their answers in a better way. This study highlights the need for active literacy-based strategies in mathematics instruction and suggests future research to explore the broader application of SQ3R in other mathematical topics and grade levels. Abstrak Keterampilan siswa Indonesia dalam pemecahan masalah matematika masih dianggap rendah, terutama dalam pelajaran geometri seperti segitiga. Namun, penelitian sebelumnya sebagian besar berfokus pada penerapan SQ3R dalam keterampilan membaca atau pembelajaran matematika secara umum, sehingga masih terdapat kesenjangan dalam penerapannya pada pemecahan masalah berbasis geometri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas integrasi strategi SQ3R dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi segitiga. Penelitian ini mengambil pendekatan kuantitatif-kualitatif dan menerapkan metode kuasi eksperimen berjenis Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel terdiri dari 72 siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 4 Cimahi yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol, keduanya dipilih secara purposif. Alat penelitian terdiri dari tes penyelesaian masalah, pengamatan, dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Strategi SQ3R terbukti berhasil mendukung siswa dalam memahami permasalahan, merancang solusi, melakukan perhitungan, dan memeriksa hasil secara terstruktur. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan strategi berbasis literasi aktif dalam pembelajaran matematika serta merekomendasikan penelitian lanjutan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan SQ3R pada topik matematika dan jenjang pendidikan lainnya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze financial management strategies in the outpatient unit of Dr. Sobirin Musi Rawas Hospital in addressing the challenges of implementing the National Health Insurance (JKN) and increasing hospital revenue. The research employed a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques consisting of in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and analysis of financial documents. A SWOT analysis was applied to identify internal and external factors influencing financial performance and to determine the hospital’s strategic position. The results indicate that the hospital possesses several strengths, including competent human resources, relatively effective inter-unit coordination, utilization of the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS), and a relatively high level of patient trust and outpatient visits. However, the study also identified several weaknesses, such as delays in BPJS claim disbursements, inefficient administrative processes, limited integration of digital systems, and the absence of regular financial evaluations. Opportunities available to the hospital arise from the sustainability of the JKN program, advances in digital technology, and potential collaboration with external parties. Meanwhile, threats include increasing competition from private healthcare facilities, rigid BPJS regulations, and cash flow instability caused by delayed claims. Based on the SWOT analysis, the hospital is positioned in Quadrant I, indicating that a growth strategy is the most appropriate approach to improve financial management and hospital revenue.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan penalaran matematis adalah aspek krusial dalam pembelajaran matematika. Namun, ketergantungan siswa pada teknologi dalam menyelesaikan soal justru memicu penurunan kemampuan penalaran tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMK menggunakan aplikasi Math Expert. Melalui metode campuran (mixed method) tipe embedded design, penelitian ini melibatkan 86 siswa kelas X SMK di Cianjur yang terbagi ke dalam kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, observasi, wawancara, dan instrumen tes penalaran matematis berdasarkan standar NCTM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan pada enam indikator penalaran NCTM, yang meliputi kemampuan: justifikasi kesimpulan; pengujian dugaan matematis; evaluasi argumen; variasi metode solusi; pengorganisasian data masalah; serta penilaian terhadap hasil kerja orang lain. Secara keseluruhan, penggunaan aplikasi Math Expert terbukti efektif meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMK, meskipun tingkat peningkatan pada setiap indikator bervariasi. Problem-solving and mathematical reasoning are crucial aspects of mathematics education. However, students' over-reliance on technology for problem-solving has triggered a decline in these specific reasoning abilities. This study aims to analyze the mathematical reasoning skills of vocational high school (SMK) students through the implementation of the Math Expert application. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach with an embedded design, the research involved 86 tenth-grade students in Cianjur, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected via questionnaires, observations, interviews, and mathematical reasoning tests based on NCTM standards. The findings indicate significant differences across six NCTM reasoning indicators, including the ability to: justify conclusions; test mathematical conjectures; evaluate arguments; employ diverse solution methods; organize situational problem data; and assess the work of others. Overall, the results demonstrate that the Math Expert application effectively enhances students' mathematical reasoning skills, although the degree of improvement varies across the specific indicators.
