Abstract

Abstract— The rapid advancement of digital technology has shifted children's and teenagers' preferences from traditional games to digital ones, reducing physical activity and social interaction. To address this issue, this final project presents the development of an educational Virtual Reality (VR)-based game that adapts the traditional game of hide-and-seek. The game aims to revive interest in local cultural and social values through an engaging and interactive digital approach. The game was developed using Unity and C# programming language, targeting VR devices such as Meta Quest 3. Core features include a singleplayer mode, health/life system, hints, power-ups, and a 3D environment that supports exploration. The development process involved literature studies, user needs analysis, game flow design, UI implementation, and functionality and usability testing. Testing results indicate that the game provides a fun, immersive, and educational experience, and serves as an effective alternative medium for traditional cultural preservation in the digital era. Abstract

Abstrak— Permainan gasing tradisional merupakan warisan budaya takbenda yang semakin terlupakan seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi dan perubahan gaya hidup modern. Upaya pelestarian sangat penting agar warisan ini tidak punah dan tetap dikenal oleh generasi mendatang. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan simulasi permainan gasing tradisional dengan memanfaatkan teknologi Virtual Reality (VR) sebagai media edukasi dan pelestarian budaya. Aplikasi ini dirancang agar pengguna dapat merasakan pengalaman bermain gasing secara virtual dengan menghadirkan mekanika permainan yang realistis serta visualisasi lingkungan tradisional yang mendukung. Proses pengembangan meliputi penerapan simulasi fisika yang akurat untuk pergerakan gasing, perancangan interaksi pengguna yang intuitif melalui pengendali VR, serta antarmuka yang terintegrasi dengan konten edukasi budaya. Melalui aplikasi ini, pengguna dapat mempelajari cara bermain, sejarah, dan nilai-nilai filosofis yang terkandung dalam permainan gasing. Hasil uji coba pengguna menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini tidak hanya memberikan pengalaman yang menyenangkan dan imersif, tetapi juga secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman dan minat terhadap permainan gasing tradisional. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa media digital seperti VR efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya pelestarian warisan budaya takbenda. Abstract

Abstract— The traditional gasing game is an intangible cultural heritage that is increasingly being forgotten with the advancement of technology and changes in modern lifestyles. Preservation efforts are crucial so that this heritage does not become extinct and remains recognized by future generations. Therefore, this study aims to develop a simulation of the traditional gasing game using Virtual Reality (VR) technology as a medium for education and cultural preservation. This application is designed for users to experience playing gasing virtually by presenting realistic game mechanics and supportive traditional environmental visualizations. The development process involves the implementation of an accurate physics simulation for the top's movement, intuitive user interaction design via VR controllers, and an interface integrated with cultural educational content. Through this application, users can learn how to play, the history, and the philosophical values contained within the gasing game. User testing results show that this application not only provides a fun and immersive experience but also significantly increases understanding of and interest in the traditional gasing game. Thus, this research proves that digital media such as VR are effective in raising awareness of the importance of preserving intangible cultural heritage. Abstract

Abstract—PT Mitra Kartika Nuswantara is a company that provides catering and event management services. Manual processes in managing orders, schedules, and inventory often result in inefficiencies and miscommunication. This study proposes the development of a web-based application named Catering Planner to support the digital transformation of the company’s operations. The system was developed using Laravel and MySQL and includes role-based access for admins and staff. Admin users are able to manage orders, inventory, reports, and event schedules, while staff users are limited to viewing assignments. A needs analysis was conducted through interviews and observations involving operational and administrative staff. Functional requirements include order and inventory management, scheduling, reporting, and user access control. The system is designed with an intuitive interface, offering features such as a login page, a dashboard with data visualization, order and inventory forms, and reporting modules. Functional testing using black-box and Selenium methods confirmed the reliability of the system. Additionally, user testing using a Likert scale indicated an overall satisfaction rate of 81.09%. This application is expected to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual errors, and serve as a scalable solution for future system expansion.
