Abstract

Fungsi pondasi adalah meneruskan atau mentransfer beban dari struktur diatasnya. Beban struktur atas tersebut harus ditransfer ke lapisan tanah yang cukup keras agar pondasi mampu memikul beban tersebut contoh kasusnya pondasi tiang. Di Kalimantan Barat umumnya dan lokasi Kota Pontianak khususnya yang ternyata adalah lebih dominan tanah lempung lunak bahkan gambut, jika disitu akan dibangun gedung bertingkat misalnya, maka faktor berat struktur dan pondasi dalam tentunya sudah mewarnai strategi perencanaan yang harus dikerjakan. Berdasarkan kearifan budaya lokal, terciptalah suatu pondasi yang cocok untuk pembangunan daerah tersebut. Pondasi yang tercipta ini yaitu pondasi tiang tongkat. Penelitian sebelumnya dilakukan dengan uji pembebanan (loading test) terhadap pondasi tiang tongkat beton dengan kedalaman ± 3,8 m di bawah permukaan tanah dan tapak beton dengan 2 ukuran berbeda yaitu 60x60cm, dan 80x80cm. Dari penelitian ini didapat nilai daya dukung total atau daya dukung pelat dan pondasi. Penelitian yang dilakukan sekarang ini, untuk mengetahui nilai kontribusi antara tapak dan tiang. Hal ini dikarenakan nilai daya dukung tiang pada pondasi tiang tongkat beton, tidak akan sama dibandingkan dengan pondasi tiang tunggal.Kata kunci: Daya dukung, Pondasi, Tiang tongkat, Laci.

Abstract

WHO menyebutkan bahwa DBD merupakan salah satu dari 10 ancaman terhadap kesehatan dunia.Sejak 2019WHO meggiatkan langkah langkah pencegahan dan pengendalian dimana hal ini harus ditopang denganpengawasan yang kuat karena penyebaran DBD yang cepat. Pada bulan februari tahun 2019 lebih dari 128 negaradengan total sekitar 390 juta orang yang memiliki resiko terjangkit DBD, dengan rata rata 96 juta infeksi tanpagejala setiap tahunnya. Pada tahun 2019, kasus akibat dengue secara global mencapai 2,9 juta kasus dan korbanmeninggal dunia ada di angka 3400, Di Indonesia sendiri angka kesakitan DHF pada tahun 2018 yaitu 24,75 per100.000 penduduk Pada tahun 2019 tercatat beberapa wilayah yang mengalami peningkatan kasus bahkanbeberapa wilayah melaporkan Kejadian Luar Biasa.Pada awal tahun 2019 data yang masuk sampai tanggal 29januari 2019 tercatat jumlah penderita DBD di Jawa Barat sebesar 13.683 penderia, dilaporkan dengan 132 kasusdiantaranya meninggal dunia, Angka tersebut lebih tinggi pada bulan Januari tahun 2018 dengan jumlah penderitasebanyak 6.167 penderita dan jumlah kasus meninggal sebanyak 43 kasus.Wilayah Kota Bogor menunjukkanjumlah kasus penyakit DBD sebanyak 1.313 kasus .Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubunganpengetahuan kader kesehatan dengan perilaku pengendalian demam berdarah dengue pada kader di PuskesmasBogor Tengah Kota Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional.Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 30 responden yang menggunaakan Purpose Sampling. Pengumpulandata dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar kuesioner. Dengan menggunakan uji statistic chi-square didapatkannilai p value (0,040 < 0,05) maka Ha diterima Ho ditolak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa “terdapat HubunganPengetahuan Kader Kesehatan dengan Perilaku Pengendalian Demam Berdarah Dengue pada Kader di PuskesmasBogor Tengah Kota Bogor”.Dalam penelitian ini terdapat Hubungan Pengetahuan Kader Kesehatan denganPerilaku Pengendalian Demam Berdarah Dengue pada Kader di Puskesmas Bogor Tengah Kota Bogor.

Abstract

Price is the value of a good or service which is measured by the amount of money spent by the buyer to obtain a combination of goods or services and their services. The problem formulation in this research is: How to know the quality of candlenut products in Pasar XII, Binjai Serbagan District, Kec. Joman Water. What is the quality and price of candlenut products at Pasar XII, Binjai Serbagan District, Kec. Air Joman. and how does price influence product quality from an Islamic perspective on candlenut sales at Pasar XII, Binjai Serbagan District, Kec. Joman Water. The research method for this type of thesis research is field research and field observation to obtain the desired data. Apart from that, it is also based on library research, using qualitative research methods, where the stages of data collection, data processing and data analysis are carried out simultaneously and interactively. From the results of the author's research it can be seen that: From the results of the hypothesis test (t test) regarding price versus quality regarding the price of candlenut products at Pasar XII, Binjai Serbagan District, Kec. Air Joman, it was stated that there was a significant positive influence of price on candlenut purchasing decisions (t count of 2.746 > t table of 1.68385). while the coefficient of determination value which is the result of R square is 0.159 namely 15.9% and the remaining 84.1% which is influenced by other variables not examined in this research.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe English language is widely spoken worldwide and is the primary medium of cross-communication in international and intercultural contexts. This study is intended to analyze (1) the types of communication strategies (CSs) used by EFL students when they face the communication problem with the interlocutors and (2) the most frequent CSs used by EFL students when they interact in both face to face (F2F) and online contexts. This research applied a narrative review study with analysis content as a qualitative methodological approach. In total, there were 38 relevant articles reviewed, which consisted of 30 articles for F2F and 8 articles for online context. The current study used typology by and Nakatani, (2014) to analyze the CSs’ types. The results revealed that EFL students employ 34 various CSs; however, fillers strategy is the most frequent CSs used in the F2F environment. Meanwhile, the code-switching strategy is the most commonly used in an online environment. Thus, this research has implications for foreign language teaching in higher education for both lecturers and students. Lecturers may design activities and lessons that focus on practicing and developing students' proficiency in using various CSs.Keywords: Communication strategies; EFL students; face-to-face environment; online context

Abstract

This narrative review investigates the benefits of pair work activities in EFL speaking classes. The data for this study were drawn from 25 selected articles published between 2013 and 2023. The research explores four main themes related to pair work in EFL speaking: language development through practice, social and emotional support in learning environments, active engagement and participative learning, and effective pedagogical strategies. The conclusions drawn from the 25 articles reveal several benefits of pair work activities, including language development through practice (enhancing speaking proficiency and facilitating vocabulary acquisition), social and emotional support in learning environments (encouraging peer feedback, creating a supportive learning environment, reducing anxiety, and increasing confidence), active engagement and participative learning (promoting active student engagement and increasing participative learning), and effective pedagogical strategies (the teacher's role in enhancing pair work effectiveness and effective task structuring). The research suggests that integrating pair work activities into EFL speaking instruction can significantly improve language learning outcomes. Furthermore, EFL teachers can effectively utilize pair work to enhance students' speaking abilities, boost their confidence, and improve overall language proficiency. Keywords: benefits of pair work; collaborative learning; EFL speaking; language development.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and narrate the culture shock experienced by the first author, an Indonesian EFL exchange student, during an academic exchange program at a Midwestern university in the United States. Using an autoethnographic approach, data were collected from the author's personal reflections, journals, and social media archives, then analyzed through a narrative method to present the lived experiences in a clear, chronological structure. The findings reveal that the first author experienced a range of emotions throughout all four stages of culture shock: honeymoon, frustration, adjustment, and adaptation. Each stage had a notable impact on his academic performance, emotional well-being, and motivation to engage with the host university’s academic and social environments. The study highlights the importance of cultural readiness and emotional resilience for exchange students. It also recommends that higher education institutions strengthen orientation programs and offer more holistic, culturally responsive support systems to help students navigate cross-cultural transitions effectively.
