Abstract

Abstract

PT XYZ has a problem with the delayed arrival of ordered production materials. Although the company is aware of the delays based on data, the company does not yet know the causes or sources of problems that cause delays. On the other hand, not all factors can be controlled to reduce the delay in the arrival of production materials. The company intends to predict the change in delay time if control or intervention is carried out on certain factors by utilising data availability. The factor to be treated is requisition-to-order lead time A causal inference model is used using the Dowhy library (a Python library for causal inference by graphing the model, quantitatively evaluating causal effects, and validating the causal assumptions) to estimate the quantitative causal effect between requisition-to-order lead time and the arrival time of the ordered material by considering other factors that also affect the delay. The results of the causal effect estimation are that by intervening or controlling the requisition-to-order lead time factor by one day, there is a decrease in the average delay in material arrival time by one day

Abstract

The usage of advertising as a medium for marketing products/services is used by various businesses to increase profits. The advertising medium mainly used is billboards, which still use fossil energy as an energy source. The Indonesian government's 2060 Net Zero Emission Program promotes using renewable energy (RE) as an energy source, such as photovoltaic (PV) as electrical energy from solar heat. As with RE, the development of PV still has problems in products and business, but PV is ready to be used as an energy source to reduce electricity bill costs. The business idea of PV installation in the advertising company sector emerged to support the government program Net Zero Emission, making advertising companies "green jobs" and absorbing human resources from vocational schools. Business conceptual design with value chains, business model canvas, and lean canvas expected can provide an overview of business opportunities with EBT for Indonesia that are environmentally friendly and energy independent.

Abstract

Rapid population growth has resulted in increased waste production, with projections that global waste will reach 3.4 billion tons by 2050, posing serious environmental challenges. Waste separation and recycling are essential strategies to address this issue, but community participation in waste segregation practices is still lacking. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing household waste separation behavior through a systematic review conducted in accordance with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines. A comprehensive literature search was conducted utilizing the Scopus database, yielding 19 relevant articles and two additional articles identified through a manual search on Google Scholar. The analysis revealed that most studies applied the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to analyze the factors influencing waste separation intentions and actions. Commonly applied variables in research include attitudes, norms, awareness, knowledge, perceived behavioral control, law and regulation, and situational factors. The findings are expected to provide insights for researchers and support creating more effective policies to increase community involvement in sustainable waste management.

Abstract

The rapid growth of electric vehicle production has led to increased waste batteries that can no longer be used. This increase causes environmental and economic challenges. Lithium-ion battery waste harms the environment as it contains toxic and flammable chemicals. New raw materials need to be procured economically due to the need for more infrastructure and a circular economy. Therefore, the solution to overcome the impact of the accumulation of lithium battery waste is to recycle the battery. Recycling end-of-life batteries is necessary to mitigate material supply risks, reduce demand for new materials, and mitigate harmful environmental and health impacts. This study aims to provide a conceptual model for the supply chain network design of electric vehicles' Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery recycling process. We developed a mathematical model to determine the allocation of multi-product recycling products from multi-suppliers and other related entities such as manufacturers and landfills over multiple periods. The analysis method utilizes techno-economic investment feasibility analysis and load distance method. The problem in the recycling process supply chain network is formulated in a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) model. The MILP optimization results show that the proposed model produces a globally optimal solution for allocating NMC batteries. The application of this study is to provide a solution to the treatment of waste batteries from electric vehicle end-users in Java Island, Indonesia. In addition, it can develop economic opportunities in the waste battery recycling business in the electric vehicle industry. It is building a contribution to a sustainable electric vehicle battery management system by reducing the dependence on demand for new materials from mining and analyzing the sustainability of the NMC electric vehicle battery recycling process.
