Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran snowball throwing dan talking chips pada materi sistem ekskresi di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sidamanik Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sidamanik sebanyak 170 orang. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 2 kelas, 1 kelas Eksperimen I dan 1 kelas untuk kelas Eksperimen II. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak (cluster random sampling) sehingga jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 60 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar siswa. Tes hasil belajar siswa bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan siswa dalam mempelajari materi pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mencari nilai rata-rata, standart deviasi dan hipotesis diuji dengan statistik t atau uji t pada taraf signifikansi α= 0,05. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen I sebesar 80,30 sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest pada kelas eksperimen II sebesar 76,19. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 4,11. Dari pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji “t” diperoleh thitung > dari ttabel pada taraf α = 0,05 adalah (2,87 > 2,00) dengan demikian H0 ditolak Ha diterima, artinya ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaranthrowing dan talking chips pada materi sistem ekskresi di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sidamanik Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan model pembelajaran make a match dan picture and picture terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII pada materi sistem ekskresi SMP Negeri 2 Tanah Jawa TA. 2019/2020 sebesar 4,11.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode praktikum pada materi pokok sistem pencernaan makanan manusia di kelas VIII SMP Parulian Medan Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei sampai Juni 2017. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Parulian Medan Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdiri dari 4 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 130 orang. Sampel diambil secara acak (Cluster Random Sampling) dan diperoleh 2 kelas yaitu VIII-1 (kelas eksperimen), dan kelas VIII-2 (kelas kontrol) yang masing-masing terdiri dari 36 siswa yang berjumlah 72 orang. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mencari rata-rata( X ), standart deviasi (S), dan hipotesis dibuktikan dengan menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen 5,42 dan 6,45. Hasil ini menunjukkan perbedaan hasil belajar sebesar 4,02. Standart deviasi (S) post-test untuk kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen adalah 2,18 dan 2,08. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesa diperoleh thitung (3,00) > ttabel (2,00), maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima artinya ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode praktikum pada materi pokok sistem pencernaan makanan manusia di kelas VIII SMP Parulian Medan Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikansi antara hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode praktikum pada materi pokok sistem pencernaan makanan manusia di kelas VIII SMP Parulian Medan Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were (1) to determine the cabbage marketing channel, (2) the difference in marketing costs, profit sharing margin, and price difference in each marketing channel, (3) to determine the level of efficiency in each cabbage marketing channel in the study area. The research area was determined by purposeful sample selection in the village of Merek, Kecamatan Merek, Kabupaten Karo which was conducted in April 2019-July 2019. The reason for choosing the area is because the majority of the population makes a living from cabbage farming. The sampling method was conducted by simple random sampling. The sample in this study were farmers who make a living from cabbage farming throughout the year. The number of samples in this study was 33 samples. The results showed that: There are 3 cabbage marketing channels in the study area, channel I (farmers-traders-large traders-retail traders-consumers), channel II (farmers-large traders-retail traders-consumers), and channel III (farmers-retail traders-consumers). Cabbage marketing costs from farmers to the largest consumers are in channel I of Rp.1,082.54/kg compared with marketing costs in channel II of Rp.756.26/kg, and marketing costs in channel III of Rp.361.67/kg. Efficiency in each cabbage marketing channel is channel I by 18.78%, channel II by 12.82% and channel III by 6.03%, this means that marketing channel III is more efficient than marketing channels I and II.

Abstract

Kesulitan belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah kimia organik dipengaruhi oleh beberapa aspek baik internal maupun eksternal. Aspek internal yang lakukan adalah minat dan motivasi, kesiapan dan perhatian, sementara aspek eksternal adalah lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan kampus, lingkungan masyarakat dan aspek alokasi waktu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan mengannalisis berdasarkan hasil tes dan angket kesulitan belajar. Populasi sebanyak 115 orang dan sampel sebanyak 30 orang yang merupakan mahasiswa program studi pendidikan biologi FKIP Universitas Simalungun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aspek pada faktor internal tergolong lemah, berarti tidak berpengaruh terhadap kesulitan belajar mahasiswa. Untuk faktor eksternal yang tergolong kuat atau berpengaruh terhadap kesulitan belajar mahasiswa adalah aspek alokasi waktu, dimana mahasiswa membutuhkan waktu lebih banyak dari biasanya untuk memahami materi pada mata kuliah kimia organik.

Abstract

This research is about the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model to improve students' motivation and learning outcomes in Biology. The study was conducted at SMA Al Alwasliyah in Pematangsiantar City, involving XI MIPA class students in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that uses both qualitative and quantitative methods. It was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The sample consisted of 21 students from class XI MIPA.The research instruments used to collect data included observation sheets, motivation questionnaires (with a minimum completeness criterion of 75% for learning motivation), and achievement tests (with a minimum completeness score of 80 based on the school's minimum mastery criteria/Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal or KKM). Data analysis was then conducted.The results showed that students' learning motivation improved from an average score of 60.15% in the first cycle to 79.9% in the second cycle. Similarly, students’ learning outcomes increased from 66.66% mastery in the first cycle to 95.23% in the second cycle.Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model significantly improves both students’ learning motivation and academic achievement in Biology, particularly on the topic of biodiversity, according to the school's mastery criteria.

Abstract

Development of Worksheet Based on The Larning Cycle 5E Model on Biotechnologycal Material, The development of LKS based on the 5E learning cycle on biotechnology material at Kartika 1-4 Pematangsiantar Private High School was motivated by the learning process which so far only used printed books and the use of LKS which was less interesting. This research aims to: 1) Find out the feasibility of the 5E learning cycle based LKS, 2) Find out students' responses to the 5E learning cycle based LKS being developed. The data collection instruments used in this research were validation sheets and questionnaire sheets. The validation results from two validators obtained an averege score of 85.3% in the Very Decent category, and the results based on students obtained an average score of 89.7% in the very good category. From the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that: 1) LKS based on the 5E learning cycle on biotechnology material developed at Kartika 1-4 Pematangsiantar Private High School are suitable for use, 2) Students' responses to the LKS based on the 5E learning cycle are very good

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using used goods as a science learning medium on respiratory system material in developing the creative thinking abilities of class VIII students at Satrya Mandiri Private Middle School. The method used is a quantitative approach, experimental method. Data collection techniques in this research are pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique carried out in this research consists of 2 stages, namely prerequisite testing and hypothesis testing. using the SPSS 2.3 for Windows program. From the results of the linearity test, it is known that the two variables (media use and creative thinking ability) have a significant linear relationship. From the results of the normality and homogeneity tests, it was obtained that the control and experimental class data were normally distributed and had the same variance (homogeneous). From the results of hypothesis testing with the t test, it is obtained that t count (2.824) > t table (1.701), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is an influence on the use of used goods as knowledge. learning media in developing creative thinking abilities of class VIII students at Satrya Mandiri Private Middle School. Based on the F test that has been carried out, the calculated F is 23.603 so the df is 28 and the real level is 5% so the F table is 4.210. F count > F table then Ha is accepted. This means that there is a significant influence if learning is carried out using used media in class VIII on the human respiratory system material at the Satrya Mandiri Private Middle School in Bandar Tongah. It was concluded that there was an influence of using used goods as a science learning medium in developing the creative thinking abilities of class VIII students at the Satrya Mandiri Private Middle School in Bandar Tongah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the group investigation model based on herbarium media using the PictureThis-Plant Identifier application on students' creativity and learning outcomes. This research is a field research with a quantitative approach using the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design research design. The results showed that the implementation of the group investigation model based on herbarium media using the PictureThis-Plant Identifier application had a significant effect on increasing students' learning creativity. This is indicated by the value of tcount > ttable (45.443 > 1.681) at a significance level of 0.05. The experimental class using this learning model had a higher average score of learning creativity compared to the control class. The implementation of the group investigation model based on herbarium media using the PictureThisPlant Identifier application also had a significant effect on improving student learning outcomes. The data analysis showed that the value of tcount > ttable (92.217 > 1.681) at a significance level of 0.05. The average posttest score of the experimental class (82.50) was higher than the control class (77.50).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of multimedia utilization on improving student learning outcomes on the human excretory system and the magnitude of the impact of multimedia utilization on improving student learning outcomes on the excretory system in grade XI Taman Madya (SMA) Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar. The population in this study was 64 students consisting of two classes. The sample was taken by random assignment, i.e., the population size was equal to the sample size. This resulted in two classes: a control class (XI-1) with 32 students and an experimental class (XI-5) with 32 students. Thus, the sample size was 64 students. The control class was treated using conventional methods, while the experimental class was treated using PowerPoint multimedia. Data analysis was performed by finding the mean (X̅ ), standard deviation (S), and hypothesis testing (t-test) at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results obtained an average post-test score of 88 for the control class and 90.12 for the experimental class, with a difference in learning outcomes of 2.12. From the results of the hypothesis testing (t-test), the calculated t (2.790) > t table (1.99) at a significance level of α = 0.05 and degrees of freedom (dk) = 62, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning there is an influence of multimedia utilization to improve student learning outcomes on the human excretory system material in class XI Taman Madya (SMA) Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar. It is concluded that there is an influence of multimedia utilization to improve student learning outcomes on the human excretory system material in class XI Taman Madya (SMA) Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine efforts to improve student learning outcomes in the biotic component topic through the application of Quantum Learning to seventh-grade students at SMP Swasta Advent 2 Pematangsiantar in the 2014/2015 academic year. The study was conducted from May 19-30, 2015, with a sample size of 16 seventh-grade students. The learning process consisted of cycles I and II, involving teaching and evaluation. Data analysis techniques used included calculating class averages, learning completion levels, and classical regression. Based on the results, it can be concluded that learning outcomes in cycle I were 18.75% below the Minimum Competency (KKM). This was followed by cycle II, where 93.75% achieved the KKM.
