Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' learning difficulties in understanding the human regulatory system material in eleventh-grade students at Kartika 1-4 Private High School, Pematangsiantar. The population in this study was all eleventh-grade students, consisting of three classes, totaling 150 students. Sampling was conducted using cluster random sampling, with a 20% sample size, with 10 students from each class, totaling 30 students. The method used in this study was descriptive. Student learning difficulties were analyzed using instruments in the form of multiple choice tests and closed-ended questionnaires with a Likert scale. The results of the test data analysis showed that the average percentage of students' learning difficulties was 75.65%, categorized as weak, meaning students had difficulty understanding the human regulatory system material. The questionnaire results indicated that internal factors influencing student learning difficulties included interest and motivation (67.08%) interpreted as weak, and readiness and attention (63.33%) interpreted as weak. Meanwhile, external factors, including the family environment (75% of which was interpreted as weak), the school environment (71.94% of which was interpreted as weak), and the community environment (65.83% of which was interpreted as weak), concluded that aspects with weak interpretations had no effect on student learning difficulties. Furthermore, the time allocation aspect (39.33% of which was interpreted as strong) significantly influenced student learning difficulties. The average percentage of factors influencing learning difficulties was 63.75%.

Abstract

This study is a classroom action research aimed at describing the application of the Scramble model to improve biology learning outcomes at the Yayasan Perguruan Keluarga Private High School in Pematangsiantar. The subjects were 30 students in grade X IPA-1 at the Yayasan Perguruan Keluarga Private High School. The study was conducted in four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) used a collaborative model that prioritizes cooperation between teachers and researchers. The instrument used in this study was a 20-question student learning achievement test. Before being used as a data collection tool, the prepared instrument was pre-tested to determine its validity, reliability, discrimination power, and difficulty level. Based on the results, the average improvement in students' critical thinking skills was 60.00 in cycle I, then increased to 80.00 in cycle II. From these results, it can be concluded that the application of the Scramble learning model can improve student learning outcomes in grade X SMA YPK Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of animation media based on animeker can improve student learning outcomes at SMA Perguruan Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar and to improve student learning outcomes on learning media using animated videos. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) model that refers to the research design including the stages: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, (4) reflection. The sample in this study was the experimental class (XI MIPA 1) which consisted of 36 students. The results of the study were obtained from the data from using Animaker-Based Animation Using CIRC (Cooperative Intedred Reading And Composition) in cycles I and II, namely in cycle I 80% and in cycle II 85%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Conditions and Concentration of  Learning at Home During the Covid-19 Pandemic on the Learning Achievement of Class X Students of MAN Pematangsiantar in the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The population in this study was class X which consisted of 4 classes with a total of 160 students. In sampling, 25% of the total population was taken so that the sample could be calculated, namely 160x25% = 40 students, the research instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire filled out by students and DKN (Student Value List), the rest was documentation as additional data. The results of this study are that the influence of conditions and concentration of student learning during the Covid-19 pandemic on the learning achievement of class X students of MAN Pematangsiantar is very influential.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of learning motivation on the learning outcomes of Integrated Science students of class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Pematangsiantar, and was carried out in April - May 2022 at SMP Negeri 13 Pematangsiantar. The population was 84 people and the number of samples was 84. Data analysis was carried out using correlation tests, t tests and determination tests. From the results of the correlation test, r = 0.65 was obtained, meaning that the effect of motivation on the learning outcomes of Integrated Science students of class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Pematangsiantar in the 2021/2022 Academic Year was high. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the t-test at a significance level of α = 0.05, obtained t count (7.754) > t table (1.664) then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning that there was a significant effect between motivation on the learning outcomes of Integrated Science students of class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Pematangsiantar in the 2020/2021 Academic Year. From the results of the determination test, the contribution of motivation to students' Integrated Science learning outcomes was 42.25%. It was concluded that there was a significant influence of motivation on the Integrated Science learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 13 Pematangsiantar in the 2020/2021 Academic Year.
