Abstract

Jalan angkut tambang merupakan sarana pentin untuk pengangkutan material. Di PT. Inti Bara Nusalima kegiatan pengangkutan batubara dihentikan saat hujan, karena jalan tidak bisa dilalui alat angkut sehingga perlu perbaikan agar kegiatan pengangkutan dapat berjalan lancar. Perusahaan belum melakukan kajian tentang material jalan dan daya dukung material yang digunakan sebagai jalan angkut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui klasifikasi material dilakukan dengan Uji Atterberg dengan standar AASHTO dan daya dukung material dengan Uji Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) untuk mendapatkan nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR). Berdasarkan hasil analisis ukuran butir material dan uji batas cair dan batas plastis Atterberg, didapatkan bahwa material pada titik 1,2,5,8,9 dan 10 adalah material dengan plastisitas tinggi. Semakin tinggi indeks plastisitas suatu material, maka semakin tinggi potensial pengembangan dari material tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil Uji DCP diperoleh nilai CBR yang beragam dengan nilai CBR tertiggi sebesar 13% pada titik 6 dan nilai CBR teredah sebesar 6% pada titik 7. Berdarsarkan pada pengujian tersebut menyatakan bahwa material yang digunakan pada jalan angkut dikategorikan sebagai tanah dasar sedang sampai buruk, maka diperlukan perawatan jalan yang baik agar material ini dapat bertahan lama sebagai jalan angkut.

Abstract

Jambi Province is a province that has the 3rd largest peatland area in the island of Sumatra. The area of ​​peat land in Jambi Province reaches 736,227.20 ha or about 14% of the area of ​​Jambi Province. The area of ​​peat in West Tanjung Jabung Regency is 154,598 ha. Water on peatlands is not a good water category because water on peatlands often contains seeds or certain substances, which are not clear, which can cause diseases that support human survival. Peat water is one of the groundwater that does not meet health requirements that is used by some people who live in tidal or coastal areas. Due to this condition, it does not support the community to get clean water which causes the community to use peat water. Adsorption technology is one of the solutions to provide clean water in the village. The adsorbent used is activated carbon from cassava peels. It is hoped that this technology can help the surrounding community to help with the problem of lack of clean water.

Abstract

PT ANTAM Tbk mempunyai salah satu Unit Bisnis Pertambangan Nikel (UBPN) dengan area Blok T yang memiliki target produksi sebesar 1.000.000 wmt (wet metric tonnes) ore nikel untuk Tahun 2023, sehingga dalam rangka upaya mencapai target produksi tersebut perlu dilakukan pendekatan dalam hal terkait rencana prakiraan penambangan nikelnya atau dalam hal ini disebut forecast plan penambangan. Dalam membuat forecast plan penambangan dilakukan beberapa strategi pendekatan yang dimulai dengan melakukan penjadwalan tambang (mine scheduling), merancang sequence penambangan, serta merencanakan kebutuhan alat, dimana pada prosesnya mengandalkan software tambang diantaranya GEOVIA Surpac, GEOVIA MineSched, serta DATAMINE Studio OP. Dari hasil penelitian, didapatkan skenario penjadwalan tambang yang sesuai untuk mencapai target produksi dibutuhkan 6 boundary area penambangan dengan urutan penambangan yang dimulai dari boundary 4, 2, 1, 3, 5, dan 6. Hasil rancangan pit sequence bulanan didapatkan rata-rata area bukaan tambang seluas 5,4 Ha, untuk kapasitas penambangan di setiap bulannya memiliki rata-rata volume sebesar 168.641 BCM, dan untuk stripping ratio (SR) hasil rancangan sequence bulanan memiliki SR rata-rata sebesar 2,39. Kemudian hasil perhitungan rencana kebutuhan alat untuk mencapai target produksi material pada setiap fase penambangan (total kumulatif setahun), didapatkan rata-rata kebutuhan Bulldozer Komatsu D-85 sebanyak 12 unit, Excavator Komatsu PC200 sebanyak 12 unit, Excavator Komatsu PC300 sebanyak 17 unit, dan Dump Truck Mitsubishi Fuso Fighter sebanyak 56 unit.

Abstract

SMK Muhammadiyah Kota Jambi adalah sebuah sekolah menengah kejuruan swasta yang berdiri pada tanggal 27 Maret 2014. SMK ini berlokasi di Jl, Guntur No.2 Rt.8, Kelurahan Kasang, Kec. Jambi Timur, Kota Jambi. Status SMK Muhammadiyah Kota Jambi saat ini belum terakreditasi dan sedang dalam tahap pengajuan. Sedangkan kurikulum pembelajaran yang dipakai yaitu KTSP (Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan). SMK memiliki dua jurusan utama yakni perbankan syariah dan geologi pertambangan.Permasalahan yang di hadapi SMK Muhammadiyah yakni belum terakreditasinya sekolah, Sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai, terutama yang berkaitan langsung dengan proses belajar mengajar, diantaranya: laboratorium, sampel batuan dan mineral, alat ukur dan gps, dll, Kurangnya jumlah guru yang memiliki kompetensi di bidang pertambangan . Belum adanya kerjasama dengan stakeholder terkait, misalnya SMK Geologi/ Pertambangan lain, universitas, maupun instansi dan perusahaan yang berkaitan dengan Pertambangan, Kurangnya kegiatan kunjungan lapangan. Program Studi Teknik Pertambangan Universitas Jambi dalam kapasitasnya sebagai institusi pendidikan tinggi yang rgerak di bidang pertambangan berniat untuk berkontribusi dan bekerjasama dengan pihak SMK Muhammadiyah Jambi untuk menjawab permasalahan rendahnya kualitas proses belajar mengajar, khususnya pada jurusan Geologi Pertambangan, dengan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berjudul “Pembekalan Materi Pembelajaran Pemberaian Batuan (Rock Excavation) di SMK Muhammadiyah Jurusan Geologi Pertambangan”. dengan hasil akhir kegiatan pengabdian yakni buku ajar dan jurnal ilmiah.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has increased online shopping and food delivery, causing a surge in single-use plastic waste and has become a habit to this day along with the rapid development of digital technology. Dream Central Waste Bank (BSI Dream) in Wijaya Pura Village collects 3 tons of waste monthly but lacked advanced plastic processing technology. This community service initiative aimed to implement a pyrolysis reactor to convert plastic waste into fuel oil and paving blocks, thereby enhancing economic value while promoting environmental sustainability. The activity stages included partner coordination and surveys, reactor performance upgrades, operational training, and evaluation. This activity involved five partners representing the Wijaya Pura Village community.  The reactor successfully produced fuel oil (density: 0.848–0.912 g/mL) and residues suitable for paving block production. The outcome of this initiative demonstrated improved skills among partners, the creation of marketable products and increased community income opportunities. Furthermore, the activity fostered greater awareness of the importance of sustainable waste management and supported the application of circular economy principles.

Abstract

As a low-rank coal, brown coal is characterized to have high water content. It is required a method to improve coal quality that can be used for effective coal utilization. One of the methods is to apply thermal dewatering technology which focuses on improving the quality of low-rank coal using water medium and autoclave. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of coal to water ratio (w/v) and the effect of particle size of a low rank-coal on water content and calorific value using the hydrothermal method. Coal was processed under hydrothermal conditions at 150 °C for 60 min. For a mixture of 100 g of 25 mesh coal and 50 mL of water, the calorific value and water content after the hydrothermal process reached 5,849 kcal/kg and 5.10% (adb), respectively. While for a mixture of 100 g of 40 mesh coal and 50 mL of water, the calorific value and water content after the hydrothermal process reached 5,789 kcal/kg and 4.94% (adb), respectively. The calorific value obtained increased from the initial value of 3,296 kcal/kg and the water content decreased from the initial value of 44.34% for the coal condition before hydrothermal process. It can be concluded that the hydrothermal process with heating without oxygen carried out by a hydrothermal reactor could increase the calorific value of low-rank coal and reduce water content.

Abstract

Perumahan Griya Indah Blok D No.344 Kel.Penyengat Rendah Kec.Telanaipura merupakan lokasi yang berdekatan dengan pasar rakyat. Semakin tingginya aktivitas masyarakat di pasar dan sekitarnya menyebabkan semakin tinggi pula jumlah sampah yang dihasilkan. Sampah itu sendiri tergolong ke dalam dua jenis yaitu sampah yang dapat diuraikan dan sampah yang tidak dapat diuraikan. Jenis sampah yang tidak dapat diuraikan ini seperti sampah plastik dari botol air minuman dan plastik kemasan pembungkus makanan. Sampah plastik tidak termasuk jenis sampah yang berbahaya, namun apabila dibiarkan secara terus-menerus maka akan menumpuk dan menjadi limbah padatan. Sementara masyarakat sekitar belum memiliki pengetahuan dalam penanganan dan pengolahan sampah plastik yang baik.Tim Pengabdian masyarakat memberikan sebuah solusi penanganan sampah plastik yakni dengan metode pirolisis. Metode ini mampu mengubah sampah plastik menjadi bahan bakar cair dan hasil sampingnya dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan pembuatan paving block. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat menjawab permasalahan lingkungan yang ada di masyarakat dan hasil yang diperoleh berupa produk dan menambah nilai jual bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

PT. Bukit Asam Tbk provides BA 50 type coal to be sent to the Bukit Asam Tanjung Enim PLTU. The aim of this research is to obtain coal that suits the needs of the Bukit Asam Tanjung Enim PLTU. The method used is to simulate the blending of several types of coal at PT. Bukit Asam Tbk such as mine brand AL 49, mine brand AL 51, mine brand AL 53 and mine brand AL 55. The blending method uses the stack arrangement method with the layer arrangement method using the layered method. The research results show that the blending  simulation consists of 11 types of blending, four of which cannot be used as recommendations because they have a higher calorific value than BA 50. Of the seven recommended simulations, the AL 49 AL 51 simulation has the highest profit price value compared to the agreed selling price, namely $0.38 per ton and $1,157.55 per day or equal to IDR 18,216,357.16 per day. In this research, it is not only recommended to blend coal with two types of coal of different qualities, but innovation is carried out by blending which can be done with more than two types of coal of different qualities.
