One of the potential that can be used to solve the congestion problem that occurred in the city of Makassar is by utilizing channels as urban transport medium. Makassar City has three channels with an overall length of 15.11 km, which two of them can be used as a water transport medium. The channels consist of Jongayya Channel (7.83 km), and Panampu Channel (4.92 km). Channel transportation can be one solution to reduce the congestion problems that occurred in the city of Makassar. The purpose of this study is to determine demand potential of waterwa y-based transport modes on Channel Panampu and Jongaya, factors that affect the willingness to use channel as a transportation medium, to identify user preferences related to channel planning as a transportation medium, and to identify the extent to which the role of the channel to become alternative transportation medium. To achieve these objectives, this study used a descriptive-quantitative methods approach. High consumption of freshwater and natural aggregate in concrete production becomes a matter of some concern that has been discussed recent years. An alternative partially or totally replacement for both materials is significant issue to reduce the negative impacts on the environment. Therefore, the aim of this research is to observe explicitly the effect of using seawater as mixing combined with recycled coarse aggregate and other materials to make new recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) under compressive load. The experimental laboratory test was conducted to total of thirty cylinders specimens of two to groups of mix design with w/c of 0.45. First was three types of percentage level of recycled coarse aggregate with targeted compressive strength of 25 MPa. The second was two types of mixtures and totally replaced by recycled coarse aggregate with targeted compressive strength of 30 MPa. Some specimens were mixed by seawater and all were placed in the freshwater-curing during some definite period of 7 and 28 days. The results show that the seawater and recycle aggregate were not significant influence to reduce the compression strength for first mix category, while the second mix category was having great influence up to 22% at 28 day. Dalam struktur ruang Palopo pada periode prakolonial, Kawasan Lalebbata adalah sentrum bagi Kota Palopo. Ia adalah ‘dunia tengah’ yang memiliki sejarah panjang dan menjadi tempat hidup bagi manusia Luwu. Lalebbata menjadi salah satu alasan Kota Palopo tergabung menjadi salah satu anggota Jaringan Kota Pusaka Indonesia (JKPI) dan telah diarahkan oleh pemerintah sebagai Kota Pusaka. Nilai kearifan lokal yang dipegang dalam pengembangan kota adalah konsep ‘marowa’ yang berarti ramai atau meriah. Penghormatan terhadap Istana Datu Luwu dan Masjid Jami Tua masih menjadi norma sosial atau nilai-nilai yang masih diyakini oleh masyarakat. Lalebata sebagai salah satu kawasan bersejarah memerlukan upaya untuk penataan sebagai upaya menghidupkan kembali aktifitas pada kawasan ini sekaligus sebagai upaya perlindungan, termasuk mengendalikan perkembangan kawasan tersebut agar tidak kehilangan identitas kesejarahaannya. Peraturan Daerah Kota Palopo tentang Cagar Budaya mengamanahkan perencanaan pola ruang Kawasan Cagar Budaya ditetapkan di Kelurahan Batupasi. Rencana pengelolaan kawasan cagar budaya ini meliputi revitalisasi cagar budaya, serta pelestarian dan pemeliharaan bangunan bersejarah serta diarahkan sebagai Kawasan Peruntukan Perdagangan dan Jasa, khususnya sebagai pusat perbelanjaan dan ruang terbuka publik. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan konsep perencanaan dan penataan Kawasan Lalebbata di Batupasi sebagai kawasan heritage sekaligus sebagai ruang publik di Kota Palopo. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan partisipatif kepada warga yang tinggal di sekitar lokasi, untuk menggali potensi dan masalah, serta dilakukan pula tinjauan kebijakan terkait perencanaan dan penataan yang akan dilakukan. Hasil dari tulisan ini adalah konsep penataan kawasan dengan membagi kawasan menjadi beberapa fungsi seperti ruang komersil, ruang publik dan pedestrian, sculpture, plaza, tempat pameran dan museum.

The Batupasi people are the inheritors of the historical fragments of the Lalebbata area. Lalebbata is an important space in the history of Palopo City, where the economic, socio-cultural and religiosity of the Palopo people begins. This activity was carried out to try to explore the collective memory, the root of the problem and the hopes of the Batupasi residents for their increasingly 'aging' living space. The effort was outlined in a Place Making Workshop activity where Batupasi residents were invited to jointly express their dreams, hopes and imaginations in the process of being creative in shaping and rediscovering their neighborhood. This activity consists of 2 items, namely old photo exhibition, mapping and participatory planning. This process allows citizens to be able to take an impression of the past which has become their cultural values and social identity through a process of continuously defining the space which is then projected into the future so that it can continue to be felt until for the generations to come. In addition, this activity aims to identify the problems faced by Batupasi residents related to social, cultural, economic and inhabited areas.

Para masyarakat yang tergabung dalam kelompok tani di Desa Ilanbatu Uru memiliki masalah terhadap lahan yang mereka kelola pada saat ini. Tidak adanya batas spasial yang jelas antara Kawasan hutan dan wilayah perhutanan social yang dapat mereka kelola membuat petani mengekspansi hutan karena ketidaktahuan mereka. Maksud kegiatan Penadaan Batas Areal Kerja HPHD Ilanbatu Uru adalah membantu masyarakat untuk memberikan batas-batas fisik berupa plat batas pada areal kerja HPHD sesuai dengan SK Penetapannya serta  mensosialisasikan/mengumumkan batas-batas dimaksud kepada masyarakat. Warga kampung pesisi di Kelurahan Tallo memiliki masalah dalam bidang sanitasi dan membutuhkan bimbingan dalam pengelolaan prasarana sanitasi tersebut. Tingkat partisipasi warga boleh dikatakan masih sangat kurang. Hal ini disebabkan karena peran partisipasi tersebut telah diambil alih oleh stakeholder-stakeholder kampung, sehingga warga menjadi terbiasa untuk hanya menjadi penonton dari program-program yang masuk ke kampungnya. Kurangnya partisipasi warga, serta kurangnya pendampingan masyarakat yang memadai menjadikan warga cenderung apatis, sehingga sulit untuk mengimplementasikan program-program pembangunan masyarakat jangka panjang, dimana keikutsertaan dan semangat gotong-royong masyarakat lah yang menjadi modal utamanya. Melalui kegiatan pemetaan partisipatif ini, kami ingin mencoba menggugah kembali kesadaran warga tentang pentingnya kegotong-royongan dalam menyelesaikan masalah dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.  Dari dua kegiatan yang kami telah lakukan yaitu pemetaan partisipatif dan pengorganisasian warga, kami mengharapkan beberapa target luaran yang akan dicapai yang terbagi atas luaran yang bersifat fisik, dan non-fisik.

Improvement of connectivity between islands known as the sea Tollway initiative has minimized pricing inequalities and improved connection in poor, remote, outer, and border areas. The biggest challenge to implementing the Program of Sea Tollway are port infrastructure readiness, collector and feeder ports for the movement of goods into a node. Tanjung Ringgit Port must serve as a feeder port for Makassar's main port to support the program. The approach used in this research is quantitative. Data collection consists of primary data through interviews, field observations and secondary data. This research used port performance analysis to analyze the needs of port performance facilities such as container field facilities, warehouses and jetty, and SWOT analysis to determine port development policies and strategies. The findings of the study show that more warehouse space will be required until 2035. The development strategy of port capacity and facilities is done by changing patterns of shipments, a dedicated terminal for large volume cargo, infrastructure development, equipment and container stevedoring, warehouse replacement truck losing systems.

This study aims to determine the extent to which people can participate in efforts to preserve cultural heritage in the city of Palopo. Community participation is measured based on their cognition attachment to cultural heritage buildings in Palopo City. Cognition can be seen from how people can recall how the characteristics of cultural heritage buildings in Palopo City (place memory). Data were collected by interview technique and analyzed by the content analysis technique. The analysis results show that the form of place memory of the Palopo City community towards cultural heritage buildings can be categorized into the location of the building, the function of the building, the physical characteristics of the building. The attachment of the Palopo City community towards cultural heritage buildings is evidenced by the efforts to preserve. Therefore, it is hoped that the results of this study can be one of the considerations for the preservation of cultural heritage buildings in Palopo City.

Kawasan Pelabuhan sebagai pintu gerbang untuk masuk dan keluar dan Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara memiliki nilai yang cukup strategis sehingga pengembangan dan pemanfaatan ruang kawasan tersebut harusnya memberi nilai Iebih bagi masyarakat Kabupaten Penajam. Sebagai jalur lintasan trans Kalimantan, kawasan Pelabuhan Penajam memiliki peran penting dalam sirkulasi pergerakan penduduk dan barang balk antar kota dalam wilayah propinsi Kalimantan Timur atau antar kota yang memiliki kedekatan fisik wilayah, sehingga kawasan tersebut menjadi entri point bagi Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara. Namun penataan kawasan mi belumlah optimal, hal mi dikarenakan keberadaankawasan pemukiman atas air yang terkesan kumuh dan tidak sehat. Permasalahan lain adalah kurangnya ruang publik di Penajam juga menjadi salahsatu masalah tersendiri. Selain itu, masyarakat Penajam tidak memiliki onientasi yang jelas juga tidak mengenali identitas yang jelas terhadap suatu tempat dan keselarasan hubungan dengan tempat- tempat lain di Kota Penajam. Perencanaan ini dilakukan dengan beberapa kajian pustaka sebagai landasan untuk merencanakan kawasan pelabuhan yang dimaksud serta landasan-landasan untuk pembuatan konsep. Analisis yang digunakan dalam perencanaan mi adalah analisis potensi dan masalah, analisis karakteristik pantai, analisis kebutuhanruang public, Analisis citra kawasan, analisis kelayakan pelabuhan, Analisis kebutuhan lahan parkir, analisis jumlah penumpang dan kendaraan pelabuhan ferry, dan analisis kelayakan permukiman kumuh. Output utama dalam perencanaan ini adalah konsep penataan pelabuhan, perencanaan ruang publik (public space), dan penataan permukiman dengan konsep utilitas terpadu.
