Abstract

Final year students often experience academic stress caused by the pressure of completing their thesis, dynamics in the guidance process with lecturers, repeated revisions, and demands to graduate within a certain time frame. This pressure often has an impact on psychological disorders such as anxiety, mental fatigue, and even decreased academic motivation. Therefore, an appropriate intervention approach is needed to help students manage stress in a healthy way. One approach that has proven effective is the mindfulness technique, which is the practice of full awareness of current experiences without negative judgment. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the mindfulness technique applied in group counseling services on reducing the level of academic stress in final year students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 7 students selected by purposive sampling with criteria of moderate to high stress levels. The instrument used was an academic stress scale compiled based on three aspects, namely biological and psychological. The intervention was carried out through three mindfulness-based group counseling sessions which included conscious breathing exercises, the STOP technique, awareness of thoughts and emotions, and group reflection. using paired sample t-test showed a value of t = 3.894 with a significance of p = 0.008 (p < 0.05), which indicates a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. The average academic stress score decreased from 87.60 to 64.71, indicating that the intervention had a significant positive effect. Thus, it can be concluded that mindfulness-based group counseling services are effective in reducing academic stress levels, strengthening emotional regulation, and supporting the psychological well-being of final year students during the completion of their studies.

Abstract

At the level of career planning at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar, some students still cannot determine career planning after graduating from MTsN and want to look for career information. As a result, it has an impact on the student's future. This research aims to know how the spinning wheel media improves students' career planning abilities at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. This quantitative research method uses a pre-experimental approach with a group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 32 students from 211 populations using purposive sampling techniques. The data collection technique uses a Likert scale to measure students' level of career planning. The questionnaire was distributed to class IX students at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. The research results show that the t count of 51.414 is greater than the t table of 1.695 (51.414>1.695). This means there is an increase in students' career planning, so the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. The research contributes as reference material for further research on the application of spinning wheel media to improve students' career planning. Also, it serves as a guide for students in determining career planning when choosing secondary schools and career descriptions in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media Instagram dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap peran guru bimbingan dan konseling di SMKS Darma Shalihat Alue Bilie Nagan Raya. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya pemahaman siswa tentang fungsi dan layanan bimbingan konseling serta rendahnya keterlibatan mereka dalam mengakses layanan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental) model One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 siswa kelas X dan XI yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pemahaman (pretest dan posttest) dan angket persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan Instagram sebagai media layanan BK. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada skor pemahaman siswa setelah diberikan intervensi melalui konten edukatif Instagram, dengan nilai rata-rata sebelum treatment sebesar 55 dan sesudah treatment sebesar 90. Hasil analisis N-Gain sebesar 0,66 menunjukkan efektivitas dalam kategori cukup efektifitas dengan hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p 0,05) dan angket persepsi menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa merespons secara positif terhadap penggunaan Instagram, khususnya pada aspek visual, kemudahan akses, dan kebermanfaatan informasi. Dengan demikian, media Instagram terbukti efektif sebagai sarana layanan informasi bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah.Kata Kunci: Instagram, pemahaman siswa, peran guru BK, media sosial, layanan bimbingan dan konseling

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi yang diimplementasikan oleh guru kelas yang merangkap sebagai guru bimbingan dan konseling di MIN 9 Kota Banda Aceh dalam memfasilitasi kebutuhan belajar pada kategori siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Dengan melihat strategi yang telah diterapkan oleh guru kelas sebagai guru bimbingan dan konseling ini akan menemukan penemuan baru dalam memberikan kebutuhan yang disesuaikan pada kategori siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan menggabungkan data yang didapatkan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara terperinci dengan guru kelas sebagai guru bimbingan dan konseling, wali kelas, Ketua Tim Layanan Pendidikan Inklusif serta analisis dokumen terkait seperti profil siswa inklusi. Hasil penelitian menerangkan bahwa strategi yang diterapkan oleh guru kelas sebagai guru bimbingan dan konseling mencakup pendekatan permainan, individual, dan komunikasi yang dibangun dengan orang tua siswa. Pendekatan permainan yang dilakukan oleh guru seperti; mengajak siswa untuk bermain sambil bernyanyi dan guru turut aktif mendampingi terkhusus kepada siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Pendekatan individual yang dijalankan oleh guru, siswa didampingi untuk mempelajari pelajaran kurang mengerti dan membantu siswa yang mengalami hambatan pada proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, peran orang tua sangat penting dalam mendidik dan mendorong anaknya untuk mencapai keberhasilan proses belajar. Walaupun demikian, hambatan yang dialami dalam menerapkan strategi ini, guru harus mampu menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan bagi setiap siswa berkebutuhan khusus.

Abstract

In the face of increasing academic demands and rapidly evolving educational environments, student resilience has become a serious factor in determining academic success and emotional well-being. This study explores practical strategies that have proven effective in building student resilience in schools include social-emotional learning approaches, character education, and guidance and counselling services that focus on developing resilience. to build and strengthen students’ resilience in overcoming various learning challenges, such as academic pressure, lack of motivation, limited resources, and external distractions. Drawing on both qualitative and quantitative data, the research identifies effective interventions implemented by educators, including the integration of growth mindset practices, peer mentoring, flexible learning models, and socio-emotional learning (SEL) approaches. Findings suggest that resilience can be nurtured through consistent support systems, positive reinforcement, and the development of self-regulation and adaptive coping skills. The study concludes that fostering resilience not only enhances students’ academic performance but also equips them with lifelong skills for facing future adversities. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas teknik modeling dalam meningkatkan interaksi sosial siswa di SMPN 3 Ingin Jaya. Interaksi sosial merupakan aspek penting dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, termasuk di lingkungan sekolah, yang berdampak pada kemampuan siswa dalam bekerja sama, menghargai pendapat, dan beradaptasi dengan lingkungan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimen one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen utama yang digunakan adalah angket interaksi sosial yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan teknik modeling dalam layanan konseling kelompok. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan uji Paired-Sample T-Test untuk melihat perbedaan signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik modeling efektif dalam meningkatkan interaksi sosial siswa, yang ditandai dengan peningkatan skor interaksi sosial setelah diberikan perlakuan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan teknik modeling dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling kelompok dapat menjadi alternatif strategis untuk membantu siswa mengembangkan keterampilan sosial yang lebih baik di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas layanan konseling kelompok dalam meningkatkan psychological well-being siswa SMPN 8 Banda Aceh. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one group pre-test and post-test. Sampel terdiri dari 8 siswa dengan tingkat kesejahteraan psikologis rendah, yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket psychological well-being berdasarkan model Ryff. Analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t-test setelah dilakukan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor rata-rata post-test dibandingkan pre-test pada seluruh responden, dengan nilai signifikansi p < 0,001. Hal ini membuktikan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah layanan konseling kelompok. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa layanan konseling kelompok efektif dalam meningkatkan penerimaan diri, hubungan positif dengan orang lain, dan orientasi tujuan hidup siswa, serta dapat menjadi alternatif intervensi bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital yang pesat telah mengubah pola interaksi sosial, khususnya pada remaja, dan memunculkan fenomena phubbing mengabaikan interaksi tatap muka akibat penggunaan ponsel cerdas secara berlebihan. Hasil observasi di SMA Negeri 1 Krueng Barona Jaya tahun 2024 menunjukkan sekitar 65% siswa sering mengakses media sosial saat berinteraksi langsung, yang berpotensi mengganggu proses belajar dan hubungan interpersonal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas layanan konseling kelompok dalam menurunkan perilaku phubbing pada siswa. Perilaku phubbing dalam penelitian ini diukur berdasarkan indikator yaitu: (1) mengabaikan percakapan tatap muka—individu lebih memilih menatap layar ponsel dibanding memberikan perhatian pada lawan bicaranya secara langsung; (2) ketergantungan pada smartphone saat berinteraksi sosial, yaitu dorongan kuat untuk selalu memeriksa ponsel meskipun sedang dalam situasi interaksi sosial; dan (3) preferensi terhadap media sosial dibanding interaksi langsung, yaitu individu merasa lebih nyaman berinteraksi melalui media sosial dibanding komunikasi langsung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pretest–Posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah lima siswa dengan skor phubbing tinggi yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket phubbing yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya berdasarkan indikator tersebut. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas Shapiro–Wilk dan dilanjutkan dengan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan perilaku phubbing yang signifikan setelah intervensi, dengan rata-rata penurunan skor sebesar 7,67 poin (p = 0,001). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa konseling kelompok efektif meningkatkan kesadaran diri (self-awareness), regulasi diri (self-regulation), dan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal, sehingga siswa mampu mengurangi penggunaan ponsel berlebihan saat berinteraksi. Hasil ini memperkuat pemanfaatan konseling kelompok sebagai strategi intervensi berbasis sekolah untuk mengatasi masalah perilaku terkait teknologi. Namun, keterbatasan jumlah sampel dan tidak adanya kelompok kontrol membuat generalisasi temuan perlu dilakukan secara hati-hati, sehingga penelitian lanjutan dengan sampel lebih besar dan desain eksperimen yang lebih kuat direkomendasikan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of peer relationships on truancy behavior of students at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. The background of the study is based on the phenomenon of increasing truancy behavior which is strongly suspected to be influenced by the social environment, especially peers. This quantitative study uses a descriptive correlational method. The population in the study were all students in grades VIII-4 totaling 33 students and were used as samples through total sampling techniques. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between peer relationships and truancy behavior with a Pearson correlation coefficient value of 0.484 (Sig. = 0.004) and a Spearman correlation test of 0.397 (Sig. = 0.022). The average score of peer relationships after being given classical services was 52.94, while the average score of truancy behavior was 56.76. These results indicate that the higher the influence of peer relationships, the higher the tendency of students to skip school. This shows that peer groups have a significant role in shaping student behavior, both positive and negative. This study also shows that classical guidance services can contribute to improving student social patterns, which has an impact on reducing the tendency to skip school. Therefore, the involvement of BK teachers in providing appropriate services is very necessary to help students form healthy relationships and support their learning process at school.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of classical services based on animated video media in improving students' understanding of bullying behavior at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. Using a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pre-test and post-test design, the research sample consisted of 32 students in grades VII-4 selected through purposive sampling techniques based on the results of the bullying behavior questionnaire. The research instrument was a bullying behavior questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis showed that the average score of students' understanding decreased from 89.18 in the pre-test to 71.84 in the post-test. This decrease was interpreted as an increase in students' awareness of the forms and impacts of bullying. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.003 (<0.05), which indicated a significant difference between the scores before and after the intervention. These findings prove that classical services based on animated video media are effective in improving students' understanding of bullying behavior, including verbal, physical, and relational aspects.
