Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using serial image media as a learning medium to help dyslexia symptoms students' reading abilities. The sample of this study consisted of 2 dyslexia symptoms students in class II-1 MIN 11 Banda Aceh. This research method has used pre-experimental with a one group pre-test-post-test design. Data were collected through treatment procedures by using serial image media. Then, the techniques of analysis are using normality tests and hypothesis testing. The research results show that the use of serial image media can improve effectively the reading ability of dyslexia Symptoms students and learning activities besides reading motivation of dyslexia students have increased either. So it can be concluded from the research results that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, in other words there is a difference in the level of reading ability before and after the use of serial image media in dyslexic students at MIN 11 Banda Aceh.Key Word: Pictures Series

Abstract

ABSTRAK Discovery learning adalah salah satu metode belajar bermakna dari pendekatan konstruktivis pada pendidikan yang merupakan pembelajaran dengan penemuan melalui keterlibatan aktif peserta didik dan mendorong mereka menemukan prinsip bahkan persepsi baru bagi diri mereka sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengggunaan Layanan Informasi Berbasis Metode Discovery Learning Untuk Menangani Disiplin Sekolah di SMAN 2 Banda Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen (One Group Pretesst Posstest Design). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala likert dengan penyebaran angket kepada seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS di SMAN 2, Banda Aceh. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 29 orang dan menggunakan teknik Purposive sampling, yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 6 orang sesuai hasil angket pre-test. Sampel diberikan treatment berupa layanan informasi berbasis metode discovery learning. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan antara nilai Pre-Test dan Post-Test dimana adanya peningkatan kedisiplinan sesudah diberikan treatment yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil uji hipotesis yaitu perolehan ttabel < thitung = 2.571 < -9.260. Dari perbandingan tersebut dapat diputuskan bahwa Ho tidak dapat diterima, dengan kata lain Ha tidak dapat ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil keputusan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Layanan Informasi Berbasis Metode Discovery Learning Dapat Menangani Disiplin Sekolah di SMAN 2 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the strategies implemented by Guidance Counseling teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Baitussalam in improving students' time management skills. Good time management is expected to help students achieve a balance between academic assignments, extracurricular activities and personal time. This research uses a qualitative approach, where data is collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with guidance and counseling teachers, students, homeroom teachers, and parents, as well as analysis of related documents such as schedules and guidance materials used. The research results show that the strategies implemented by guidance and counseling teachers include the use of individual guidance approaches and group guidance. The individual approach taken by guidance and counseling teachers, where students are guided to create a daily schedule and determine priorities, helps students plan their time in a more structured manner. Group tutoring sessions provide an opportunity for students to share experiences and learn from their peers about how to manage time. Apart from that, this research also found that the role of parents is very important in supporting the implementation of time management. Parents who are involved in accompanying their children in creating and adhering to study schedules report increased time discipline in students. However, obstacles faced in implementing this strategy include diverting students' attention to social media and other non-academic activities. Therefore, regular eval___uations and additional strategies are needed to overcome external distractions that affect student concentration

Abstract

At the level of career planning at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar, some students still cannot determine career planning after graduating from MTsN and want to look for career information. As a result, it has an impact on the student's future. This research aims to know how the spinning wheel media improves students' career planning abilities at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. This quantitative research method uses a pre-experimental approach with a group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 32 students from 211 populations using purposive sampling techniques. The data collection technique uses a Likert scale to measure students' level of career planning. The questionnaire was distributed to class IX students at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. The research results show that the t count of 51.414 is greater than the t table of 1.695 (51.414>1.695). This means there is an increase in students' career planning, so the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. The research contributes as reference material for further research on the application of spinning wheel media to improve students' career planning. Also, it serves as a guide for students in determining career planning when choosing secondary schools and career descriptions in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of reframing techniques through group counseling in improving students' self-regulation, good self-regulation tends to have better emotional control. However, some students at MTsN 3 Banda Aceh have difficulty in managing self-regulation. This quantitative study with a pre-experimental approach used a one group pretest-posttest design. A total of 30 students who had difficulty in self-regulation were selected as samples through purposive sampling. Measurements were taken using a self-regulation scale before and after three treatment sessions or group counseling treatments with reframing techniques. The results showed a significant increase in students' self-regulation, with an average score increasing from 42.83 in the pretest to 84.83 in the posttest and a t-value of 54.222 greater than t-table of 2.015 and a sig level (2-tailed ) <significance level of 0.000 <0.05. t-count is greater than t-table at a significance level of 0.05. From the research results, it can be concluded that the reframing technique through group counseling is effective in improving students' self-regulation

Abstract

Discipline is a behavior that shows adherence to rules and a mental attitude to do something at the right time while respecting time. However, at the state junior high school Ingin Jaya, there are some students who exhibit low levels of disciplinary behavior. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services using the sociodrama technique to improve students' disciplinary behavior at Ingin Jaya Junior High School. This research uses a quantitative approach in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consist of 24 students selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was done using a questionnaire to measure students' disciplinary behavior levels, followed by a T-test analysis using SPSS version 22. Based on the data analysis results, the obtained T-hitung (16.418) is greater than the T-tabel (1.714), indicating a significant difference between before and after the group counseling service using the sociodrama technique was provided to improve students' disciplinary behavior. The results show that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It can be concluded that there is an improvement in students' disciplinary behavior after receiving group counseling services and the sociodrama technique

Abstract

Background: The ability to adapt for students in facing various demands of academic, social, and emotional development in the school environment. Inability to adapt can have a negative impact on students' learning achievement and psychological well-being. Thus, appropriate psychological intervention is needed to help students develop this ability. The Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) approach is a view based on humans, which explains that individuals have a tendency to think irrationally one of which is obtained through social learning. Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) aims to eliminate emotional disorders that can damage the individual such as anxiety, hatred, fear, troubled feelings, anger, and so on. Aim: This study aims to test the effectiveness of group counseling services based on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) in improving students' self-adjustment abilities at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. Using a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pre-test and post-test design, the study sample consisted of 7 students selected through a purposive sampling technique based on the results of the self-adjustment questionnaire. Result and Discussions: The research instrument was a self-adjustment questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis showed that the average score of students' self-adjustment increased from 194.71 in the pre-test to 236.71 in the post-test. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.001 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the scores before and after the intervention. These findings prove that REBT-based group counseling services are effective in improving students' self-adjustment abilities, including emotional, intellectual, social, and responsibility aspects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas teknik modeling dalam meningkatkan interaksi sosial siswa di SMPN 3 Ingin Jaya. Interaksi sosial merupakan aspek penting dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, termasuk di lingkungan sekolah, yang berdampak pada kemampuan siswa dalam bekerja sama, menghargai pendapat, dan beradaptasi dengan lingkungan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimen one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen utama yang digunakan adalah angket interaksi sosial yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan teknik modeling dalam layanan konseling kelompok. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan uji Paired-Sample T-Test untuk melihat perbedaan signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik modeling efektif dalam meningkatkan interaksi sosial siswa, yang ditandai dengan peningkatan skor interaksi sosial setelah diberikan perlakuan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan teknik modeling dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling kelompok dapat menjadi alternatif strategis untuk membantu siswa mengembangkan keterampilan sosial yang lebih baik di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of peer relationships on truancy behavior of students at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. The background of the study is based on the phenomenon of increasing truancy behavior which is strongly suspected to be influenced by the social environment, especially peers. This quantitative study uses a descriptive correlational method. The population in the study were all students in grades VIII-4 totaling 33 students and were used as samples through total sampling techniques. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between peer relationships and truancy behavior with a Pearson correlation coefficient value of 0.484 (Sig. = 0.004) and a Spearman correlation test of 0.397 (Sig. = 0.022). The average score of peer relationships after being given classical services was 52.94, while the average score of truancy behavior was 56.76. These results indicate that the higher the influence of peer relationships, the higher the tendency of students to skip school. This shows that peer groups have a significant role in shaping student behavior, both positive and negative. This study also shows that classical guidance services can contribute to improving student social patterns, which has an impact on reducing the tendency to skip school. Therefore, the involvement of BK teachers in providing appropriate services is very necessary to help students form healthy relationships and support their learning process at school.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of classical services based on animated video media in improving students' understanding of bullying behavior at MTsN 2 Aceh Besar. Using a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pre-test and post-test design, the research sample consisted of 32 students in grades VII-4 selected through purposive sampling techniques based on the results of the bullying behavior questionnaire. The research instrument was a bullying behavior questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis showed that the average score of students' understanding decreased from 89.18 in the pre-test to 71.84 in the post-test. This decrease was interpreted as an increase in students' awareness of the forms and impacts of bullying. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.003 (<0.05), which indicated a significant difference between the scores before and after the intervention. These findings prove that classical services based on animated video media are effective in improving students' understanding of bullying behavior, including verbal, physical, and relational aspects.
