Islamic values have a positive and significant impact on social entrepreneurship, and environmental values also have a positive and significant impact. Similarly, social entrepreneurship attitudes have a positive and significant impact on social entrepreneurship intentions. Social entrepreneurship attitudes mediate the influence of Islamic values on social entrepreneurship intentions and mediate the influence of environmental values on social entrepreneurship intentions. Thus, social entrepreneurship attitudes partially mediate both variables, namely Islamic values and environmental values. Based on these findings, it is necessary to revitalize the entrepreneurship education curriculum by incorporating aspects of social entrepreneurial attitudes into entrepreneurship courses at universities. Maintaining guidance for students on environmental values and enhancing social entrepreneurship attitudes through socially-based business activities.

Abstract

Education is important in human life because it helps people build strong character and morality, helping them to distinguish between what is right and wrong. This research aims to determine what forms of social support exist, what the role of social support is, and what the causes of low decision-making are in continuing higher education in Indonesia. This type of research used a systematic analysis of literature review. In refining the data that has been collected, the researcher identified, filtered, feasibility and clarified the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) method. The data in this study were secondary data from 2020-2024 obtained from data Dimensions and Google Scholar. The results showed that 1) Forms of social support in the findings come from peers, parental motivation, parental support, family economic status, parental education, social environment, counselling guidance and homeroom teacher, facilities and infrastructure; 2) with the existence of social support for the decision to continue higher education, each individual received a more decent education, promising work, continued to exist in society, extended family assistance, and shaped the character and morals of the person, parental economic support was not one of the obstacles in continuing higher education due to the availability of scholarships; 3) The causes of the low decision to continue higher education were from internal and external factors. It can be concluded that understanding the many forms of social support and tackling the barriers to educational advancement are critical for increasing access to higher education.

Abstract

This study explicitly aims to analyze the effect of risk-taking propensity on entrepreneurial intention, with self-efficacy as a mediating variable. The research employed a quantitative method using a survey approach and SEM-PLS analysis. Data were collected from 119 randomly selected respondents at the Faculty of Economics and Business Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). The results indicate that risk-taking propensity has a positive and significant effect on both self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. Self-efficacy also positively influences entrepreneurial intention and partially mediates the relationship between risk-taking propensity and entrepreneurial intention. The implications of these findings highlight the importance of strengthening self-efficacy in entrepreneurship education, for example through field interviews or inviting entrepreneurship practitioners as guest speakers.

Abstract

This study investigates the moderating role of peer support on the relationship between learning interest, learning discipline, and student motivation in a 3T (frontier, outermost, and disadvantaged) region Batuputih sub-district. While previous studies have explored these variables individually, limited research has examined how peer support interacts with interest and discipline to influence learning motivation in underdeveloped regions. Employing a quantitative approach with a survey method, data were collected from 201 grade XI students at SMAN Tupan and SMAN Benlutu using purposive sampling. A 5-point Likert scale questionnaire was administered, and sample adequacy was determined using G*Power analysis (effect size = 0.15, power = 0.95, α = 0.05), resulting in a minimum requirement of 107 participants. Data were analyzed using PLS-SEM via SmartPLS. The findings indicate that both learning interest (p = 0.027) and learning discipline (p = 0.000) significantly influence student motivation. However, peer support does not moderate these relationships, as shown by p-values of 0.744 and 0.861, respectively. These results suggest that while interest and discipline are critical drivers of motivation, peer support may not play a significant moderating role in this context. This study contributes to the understanding of motivational factors in disadvantaged educational settings and provides insights for educators in designing targeted interventions.
