Abstract

Motivasi penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan metode transplantasi yang tepat bagi budidaya karang hias. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan tingkat pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup fragmen karang yang ditransplantasi menggunakan metode ikat dan gantung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tahun 2017 sampai 2019 di perairan Labuan Beropa Kabupaten Konawe Selatan. Pada metode ikat fragmen karang diikat pada tonjolan rangka besi media transplantasi yang telah disiapkan, sedangkan pada metode gantung fragmen karang digantung pada rangka media transplantasi. Fragmen karang yang diuji pada Tahun pertama (F1) berasal dari koloni alami, tahun kedua (F2) dari koloni hasil transplantasi tahun pertama dan tahun ketiga (F3) dari koloni hasil transplantasi tahun kedua. Parameter yang diamati adalah tingkat pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Rata-rata pertambahan panjang fragmen karang yang ditransplantasi dengan metode ikat dalam 6 bulan adalah 51,9 mm hingga 58,9 mm, sedangkan pada metode gantung adalah 41,6 mm sampai 76,6 mm. Tingkat pertumbuhan fragmen karang F1 dan F2 lebih tinggi pada metode gantung sedangkan pada fragmen F3 pertumbuhan lebih tinggi pada metode ikat. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup fragmen karang menggunakan metode gantung berkisar 82,61% - 100%, sedangkan pada metode ikat berkisar 51,61- 82,93%.

Abstract

SMA Al Quran Wahdah Islamiyah dan MTs Al Wahdah Islamiyah Kendari adalah sekolah yang menerapkan sistem kepesantrenan, bertujuan untuk melatih kemandirian dan keterampilan siswa. Sekolah tersebut memberikan mata pelajaran untuk pembekalan keterampilan yaitu Prakarya dan Kewirausahaan. Berdasarkan diskusi dan peninjauan langsung ke sekolah tersebut, permasalahan yang ditemukan adalah siswa belum mendapat bekal keterampilan yang memadai karena guru pada sekolah tersebut belum memiliki basic keterampilan untuk diajarkan kepada peserta didik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka program PKMI-UHO menyelenggarakan edukasi budidaya ikan lele pada kolam terpal berbasis probiotik. Melalui kegiatan tersebut diharapkan tenaga pengajar memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan teknis yang selanjutnya dapat diajarkan kepada siswa sekolah. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu budidaya ikan pada kolam terpal sangat cocok diaplikasikan pada sekolah tersebut sebab lokasi sekolah jauh dari aliran sungai dan sekolah tidak memiliki lahan yang memadai untuk membangun kolam budidaya yang luas. Teknologi probiotik yang diterapkan juga sangat tepat dalam demonstrasi kegiatan budidaya ikan lele sebab probiotik membantu menjaga kualitas air, kelulushidupan dan kesehatan ikan. Teknologi budidaya ikan yang diedukasikan kepada mitra PKMI-UHO telah berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan teknis tenaga pengajar sehingga dapat menjadi bahan ajar pada mata pelajaran Prakarya dan Kewirausahaan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the process of catching octopus, the amount of cost efficiency and the amount of profit in Tanomeha Village, Kaledupa District, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, during the period March to April 2019. This study used a census method with 10 respondents. This research was obtained through observation and direct interviews using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Efficiency with the formula (E = TC/Q) and profit (Π = TR-TC). The results showed that the process of catching the octopus using a hand rod started when the fishermen went to the location to catch the octopus, when the hand line was lowered, it was jerked to attract the attention of the octopus to the movement of the bait. After the bait is caught, it is immediately withdrawn and lifted into the boat. The magnitude of the efficiency of fishing costs in the waters of Bungi is Rp. 13,367/kg and the efficiency of the costs of fishing in tinete waters is Rp. 31,799/kg. The amount of fishermen's profit in Bungi waters is IDR 193,347/trip and fishermen's profits in Tinete waters is IDR 8,988/trip

Abstract

This study alms to find out how the socio-economic conditions of mangrove ecotourism managers and to find out the amount of income for the managers of each business at a tourist object every month. This research was conducted in September-October 2020 in Loji village Kulisusu district North Buton Regency. Data were obtained through direct interviews with 15 respondents using a questionnaire. The data collected are age, education level, family dependents, health insurance, house conditions, transportation, social interaction, income from boar services and gazebo services. The data analysis used was descriptive qualitative and quantitative are analysis income, revenue, and total cost. The results of the study indicate that the social conditions of ecotourism managers in Loji village are that the existence of lourism objects provides benefits for the surrounding community while economically, the income obtained from the results of the ecotourism management business is IDR4,500,000 month

Abstract

This research aims to determine capital productivity and seed productivity in seaweed cultivation businesses. This research was conducted in Bandar Batauga Village, Batauga District, South Buton Regency in February 2023. The respondents in this research were 10 seaweed cultivators using the census method. Data collection techniques were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. Data analysis uses quantitative analysis, using the formula for costs, revenues, profits, and productivity. The results of the research show that the average total costs and average revenues from seaweed cultivation are Rp10,701,293/cycle and Rp58,280,000/cycle respectively. The average profit is Rp47,578,707/cycle. The average productivity of capital obtained by seaweed cultivation is 5.33, which means that every Rp1 of capital will generate revenue of Rp5.33. The average productivity of wet seeds into wet seaweed is 7.78 and into dry seaweed is 1.11. This means that the productivity of seeds can be concluded that every 1 kg of wet seeds will produce 7.78 kg of wet seaweed and 1.11 kg of dry seaweed.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to indentify Impact of Economic Externalities Mangrove Conversion into Ponds. The study was carried out from January to February 2021 in Sub-district of Latuo, Meura, and Malaha, Samaturu Regency, Kolaka. The samples of study was 15 respondents. Purposive sampling method was used using observation method, interview and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the positive impact includes the revenue of business owner around the ponds area after development has increased with a total value Rp11.800.000/month. While the revenue of fisherman who make use of mangrove ecosystem (such as mud crab, fish, shells, mangrove wood) has decreased with a total value Rp38.100.000/month.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how big the margin and efficiency on the marketing of milkfish commodities in Banga Village, Mawasangka District, Central Buton Regency. This research was conducted in January 2023, located in Banga Village, Mawasangka District, Central Buton Regency. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, recording of milkfish cultivators. Data analysis was performed using quantitative descriptive analysis, margins and efficiency. The results showed that marketing channels for milkfish in Banga Village, Buton Regency, consisted of three marketing channels. Marketing Channel I, milkfish were sailed from cultivators to consumers, while the marketing channel II,milkfish production were sailed from cultivators to traders and then it sailed to consumers. In addition, marketing channel III the farmer sailed the milkfish to collector and then from collectors the milkfish production were sailed to consumers. Marketing channel I didn’t have any marketing margin because the milkfish production were directly sailed to consumers and fishermen shared 100% of their milkfish product. Marketing channel II had a margin of IDR 5,000/kg, and the fishermen shared of milkfish product was 83%. In addition, marketing channel III had a margin of IDR 10,000/kg and the fishermen sharedof their milkfish product was 71%.This study concluded that marketing  channels in I, II and III were still efficient because of the fishermen shared were more than 50%.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the market structure of seaweed in Buton Selatan Regency.   The sampling technique in this study used the Slovin formula with a standard error of 10%. Analysis methods of market structure of seaweed including market share, barriers to entry and exit of the market and knowledge of seaweed market. The analysis results showed that the existing marketing structure of seaweed in South Buton Regency was a market share of difference 44%, the barrier to entry into seawed marketing was quite large because the MES value was above 10%. The determination of price of seaweed was determined by city collectors who have adjusted the selling price of seaweed in Makassar. Therefore, price determination of practice that occurs in the marketing of seaweed tends to the oligopsony market.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the efficiency of the Kuwe fish cultivation business in Floating Net Cages (KJA) in Lolibu Village, Lakudo District, Central Buton Regency. This research was carried out in June 2021. The data were taken by 7 KJA business actors. The measured variable costs include the amount of wages, feed, fuel, oil, and seeds while the fixed costs include cages, nets, engines, boats and drums used in the Kuwe fish farming business in KJA. The data obtained are efficiency analysis. The results showed that the R/C and HPP values ​​in the Kuwe Fish business in floating net cages in Lolibu Village, Lakudo District, Buton Regency, it can be concluded that the business has been efficient. Cultivators with higher stocking densities with higher production will be more efficient

Abstract

Mangroves are one of the coastal ecosystems with various ecosystem services include economic benefits. The purpose of this study is to determine the economic value of mangrove ecosystems that are directly utilized by the people of Moko Village, Lakudo District, Central Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. This research was conducted during the period from August to September 2021. The sampling method used was the accidental sampling method, which is a non-probability sampling technique by determining the sample based on who was encountered at the time of data collection. The research sample was the people of Moko Village who live around the mangroves and directly use of the products from the mangrove forest. The types of data used were primary data and secondary data that are qualitative and quantitative. Primary data were obtained directly from the field through interviews with related parties, questionnaires, and direct observation. Secondary data were obtained from the Tourism Office of Central Buton Regency and through literature studies that related to research aims The results of this study showed that the benefits of the mangrove ecosystem in Moko Village consisted of fishing, crab, and shrimp fishing around and in the mangrove forest. The annual total benefit value of mangroves was IDR.507,704,732,- which consisted of fish benefits of IDR 149,064,333,- crab benefits of IDR .230,170,566,- and shrimp benefits of IDR.128,469,833,-.
