Abstract

This study aims to analyze employee work discipline at PT Pegadaian (Persero) Makassar Branch by identifying the forms of discipline demonstrated, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants included the head of the Warehouse Management Subdivision and General Subdivision staff. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and validated through source and technique triangulation to ensure credibility. The findings reveal that employee work discipline is reflected in five key indicators: attendance, responsibility, attitude, compliance with norms, and collateral management. While employees demonstrate good responsibility and positive attitudes in communication and teamwork, several problems remain. Attendance irregularities, such as tardiness and unauthorized absences, are still common. Norm compliance is inconsistent across units, although collateral management procedures are generally well executed. Supporting factors identified include rewards, employee compliance, skills, insight, and challenges provided by management. Conversely, discipline is hindered by environmental influences, indifference to leadership authority, and lack of assertiveness from supervisors. These factors contribute to disciplinary lapses and suggest areas for managerial improvement. This research contributes to the understanding of employee discipline in state-owned enterprises and highlights the need for targeted interventions to improve supervision and internal motivation. The study recommends structured enforcement of rules, stronger leadership assertiveness, and ongoing performance-based rewards to enhance employee discipline at PT Pegadaian.

Abstract

This study explores the role of educational leadership in enhancing human resource capacity within schools through a qualitative, exploratory design. Drawing on semi-structured interviews with school leaders and senior teachers from both high-performing and underperforming secondary schools, the research investigates how leadership practices influence teacher motivation, professional development, and organizational resilience. Thematic analysis revealed four key themes: the impact of transformational leadership on teacher engagement, the significance of nurturing leadership in promoting staff well-being, the contextual factors that mediate leadership effectiveness, and the influence of gender on leadership perception and experience. Findings indicate that effective leadership in education is deeply relational and context-sensitive. Transformational and nurturing leadership practices were found to foster trust, collaboration, and professional satisfaction, particularly in challenging school environments. Moreover, gender dynamics shaped how leadership styles were enacted and received, revealing underlying cultural expectations that influence leadership efficacy. These insights underscore the importance of human-centered and context-aware leadership development programs that emphasize emotional intelligence, inclusivity, and adaptability. The study contributes to the broader discourse on educational improvement by framing human resource capacity as a product of thoughtful, responsive, and inclusive school leadership.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the effectiveness and influence of internal supervisory units within higher education institutions, addressing the key issue of how these units contribute to academic quality assurance and governance; to solve this problem, quantitative data on performance metrics and qualitative data from stakeholder interviews will be required to assess the operational dynamics and outcomes of these supervisory units. The research addresses the pressing issue of how these units operate and impact educational outcomes by employing a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative performance metrics with qualitative insights gathered from stakeholder interviews. Key findings reveal that institutions with robust internal supervisory frameworks demonstrate significantly higher academic performance indicators, improved stakeholder satisfaction, and enhanced compliance with regulatory standards. Furthermore, the qualitative data highlight the critical role of communication and collaboration among faculty, administration, and governance bodies in fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The significance of these results extends beyond the confines of higher education, as effective governance in academic settings is paramount for shaping future healthcare professionals who are thoroughly trained in quality-centric practices. Consequently, the implications of this study suggest that refining the operational dynamics of internal supervisory units could not only elevate academic institutions but also contribute to a more competent healthcare workforce, ultimately enhancing patient care outcomes. This research provides a foundational framework for policymakers and educational leaders aiming to strengthen quality assurance mechanisms, thereby emphasizing the integral link between education quality and the broader healthcare landscape.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi dan numerasi pada anak-anak di lingkungan yang masih memiliki keterbatasan akses pendidikan. Literasi dan numerasi merupakan keterampilan dasar yang mendasari penguasaan pengetahuan lanjutan, serta berperan penting dalam pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif, melibatkan sesi belajar interaktif, penggunaan media visual, serta stimulus berupa reward untuk meningkatkan motivasi anak-anak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 60% peserta menunjukkan perkembangan signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca dan berhitung, sementara sisanya masih memerlukan pendampingan lanjutan. Selain peningkatan kognitif, kegiatan ini juga mendorong penguatan aspek afektif seperti kepercayaan diri dan keterampilan komunikasi anak. Temuan ini menegaskan urgensi penguatan literasi dan numerasi sejak dini melalui pendekatan yang menyenangkan dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Masjid sebagai institusi keagamaan memiliki kontribusi besar dalam membentuk perilaku sosial dan lingkungan masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Masjid Nurul Ilmi dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan fungsi masjid tidak hanya sebagai pusat ibadah, namun juga sebagai pusat kegiatan sosial dan pelestarian lingkungan. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah observasi partisipatif, wawancara, serta pendekatan edukatif melalui sosialisasi dan kerja bakti bersama masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan masjid, serta terciptanya lingkungan yang lebih hijau dan bersih. Kegiatan ini memberikan rekomendasi agar masjid-masjid lain dapat mereplikasi model pengembangan masjid berbasis lingkungan ini.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendorong penerapan gaya hidup sehat di kalangan siswa SMP Negeri 18 Makassar yang berlokasi di Jalan Dg. Tata Komp. Hartaco Indah, Kelurahan Parang Tambung, Kecamatan Tamalate, Kota Makassar. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah rendahnya kesadaran sebagian siswa terhadap pentingnya perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, khususnya di lingkungan sekolah. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini mencakup metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan praktik langsung. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 120 siswa kelas VII dan VIII. Melalui kombinasi pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif, siswa tidak hanya diberikan materi mengenai pentingnya PHBS, tetapi juga dilibatkan secara aktif dalam berbagai praktik, seperti mencuci tangan yang benar, menjaga kebersihan lingkungan kelas, serta mengatur pola makan sehat. Kegiatan ini memberikan ruang bagi siswa untuk memahami konsep gaya hidup sehat secara holistik dan mendorong mereka untuk menginternalisasi kebiasaan positif dalam rutinitas harian. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya perubahan sikap dan peningkatan motivasi siswa untuk menerapkan gaya hidup sehat di sekolah. Hasil observasi menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan PHBS sebesar 30% berdasarkan kuesioner pre-post test sederhana. Pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang lebih sadar akan kesehatan pribadi dan lingkungan, sekaligus menciptakan budaya sekolah yang bersih, sehat, dan mendukung proses pembelajaran yang optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the work discipline of employees at the Baraka District Office, Enrekang Regency. By using qualitative research methods with descriptive research types. The data collection technique uses observation, interview, and documentation methods. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data presentation, data condensation and conclusion/verification. The results of the study show that each indicator used can be said to be "good" according to the indicators used, namely Attendance, employee attendance is quite good because employees are present on time to the office. Compliance with work regulations, employees implement work regulations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) properly. Regulations on work standards, employees have implemented work standards well. Working ethically, judged from the level of employee ethics, both fellow employee leaders and the community. Therefore, employee work discipline can be said to be quite good and there are performance achievements that must be fulfilled by employees, otherwise employees will be subject to sanctions. This research also uses the latest indicators regarding employee discipline and is supported by the latest journals and supporting books

Abstract

Community satisfaction is one of the most important variables in determining the result of a service. Therefore, the implementation of employee discipline must be implemented so that employee performance can be more optimal. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of employee work discipline on community satisfaction at the East Luwu Regency Social Service office. This research is classified as bivariate research with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study amounted to 96 people from East Luwu Regency using probability sampling techniques. In this study, the data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observations and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this study are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study show that the variables of employee work discipline at the East Luwu Regency Social Service Office are in the good category with indicators, namely time discipline, regulatory discipline, and responsibility discipline, while the variables of community satisfaction are in the good category with indicators, namely the suitability of expectations, performance perception, and community assessment. Based on the results of the product moment correlation test, the relationship between variables is strong. Based on the results of a simple linear regression analysis, it was concluded that there was a positive and significant influence between employee work discipline and community satisfaction at the East Luwu Regency Social Service Office

Abstract

Employee performance is a set of work results or achievements that are carried out in quality and quantity by a person or group of people. One of the factors that affect employee performance is the office facility factor. This study aims to find out the description of office facilities and the description of employee performance as well as to find out the picture of the influence of office facilities on employee performance at the Lempang Village Office, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency. This study uses a quantitative method with the population in this study, namely all office employees, both civil servants and contract employees, totaling 31 people. Data collection was carried out by observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques in this study use descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of this study show that office facilities are classified as good categories. Employee performance is classified as good. The results of hypothesis testing show that there is a significant influence between office facilities on employee performance at the Lempang Village Office, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency.

Abstract

Kemajuan kewirausahaan di suatu negara akan meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembelajaran kewirausahaan, minat berwirausaha mahasiswa dan pengaruh pembelajaran kewirausahaan terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran Universitas Negeri Makassar. Maka dari itu, untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, angket, serta dokumentasi dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 240 orang dan sampel sebanyak 120 orang. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan persentase dan untuk teknik analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan uji normalitas data, analisis korelasi product moment, dan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan analisis uji korelasi product moment dinyatakan ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan pembelajaran kewirausahaan terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran sebesar 14,2 persen dinyatakan diterima dengan tingkat pengaruh rendah. Hasil analisis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran kewirausahaan terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa. Keyword: Pembelajarn; Kewirausahaan; Minat
