Abstract

Education creates reliable and competitive people resources, which determines a nation's success. Scholarship policies have a substantial impact on the growth of a nation, particularly in terms of enhancing the quality of human resources and access to quality education. Open access to education can help establish an improved education system. The Excellence Scholarships Program is part of the Indonesian government's goal to produce trustworthy and competitive human resources. This research used a qualitative descriptive methodology by tracing official government documents associated with the Excellence Scholarships program. This report analyzes the 2019-2020 implementation and impact of Indonesia's main scholarship program.  This study examined program implementation using descriptive-qualitative research. According to the findings of this study, 2025 undergraduates won scholarships in the last two years. The procedures and aid distribution of the Excellence scholarship program are effective because they adhere to the predetermined flow and conditions, however, future improvements are required for the implementation of these scholarship programs: first, improving the principle of equal distribution of scholarship recipients to combat inequality, particularly in eastern Indonesia; and second, providing equal opportunities. This research also suggests further research could look into how the excellence scholarships program enhances scholarship recipients' quality of life and human resources.

Abstract

Adanya sebuah teknologi masyarakat diberi kemudahan dalam berbagai hal yang menjadi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Teknologi ini tidak hanya memberikkan dampak yang besar bagi individu, tetapi juga memberikan dampak yang besar bagi masyarakat luas. Smart city dirancang oleh Pemerintah Kota Tangerang sebagai salah satu cara untuk perbaikan wilayah dari segala aspek, termasuk pelayanan. Perkembangan teknologi informasi tidak hanya sebagai penunjang smart city, tetapi juga bisa sebagai Big data atau hal-hal lain berhubungan dengan digitalisasi. Penelitian ini dirancang untuk dapat memberikan gambaran rinci terkait Smart city (kota pintar) “Bagaimana gambaran perkembangan sistem teknologi informasi pada konsep smart city dapat memberikan nilai bagi Kota Tangerang dalam membranding). Pengolahan data angket dilakukan dengan menggunakan sofwer Vosviewer untuk melihat lebih detail mengenai hal-hal apa saja yang berkaitan dengan penelitian branding smart city. Titik dan garis penelitian baru sebagian besar terkonsentrasi di internet of think, urban areas, big data, sustainable develovment, smart building, cloud computing, dan conceptual model. Hal ini menjadi sebuah temuan konsep baru untuk bisa diadopsi oleh negara-negara yang ingin mengembangan pembangunan dan siap terhadap teknologi.Kata Kunci: Branding, Smart city, Kota Tangerang AbstractThe existence of a community technology is facilitated in various things that are daily needs. This technology not only has a big impact on individuals, but also has a big impact on society at large. Smart city is designed by the Tangerang City Government as a way to improve the area from all aspects, including services. The development of information technology is not only a support for a smart city, but also as big data or other matters related to digitization. This research is designed to be able to provide a detailed description of the Smart city (smart city) "How can an overview of the development of information technology systems in the concept of a smart city can provide value for the City of Tangerang in comparison) The questionnaire data processing was carried out using the Vosviewer software to see in more detail what matters were related to smart city branding research. New research points and lines are mostly concentrated on internet of think, urban areas, big data, sustainable development, smart building, cloud computing, and conceptual models. Abstract

Abstract Watching movies at home through movie applications now has become a trend in this pandemic era. Adolescents who have online learning at home are forced to entertain themselves with indoor activities; spending more time watching movies is one example. As one of the online movie platforms, Netflix has gained 204 million subscribers in January 2021, following Amazon Prime with 150 million subscribers. This situation becomes a concern where adolescents seemingly have more freedom and access to select movies without parents' awareness. Adolescents are given trust in their competence to be conscious, critical, and analyse their content despite their age. This research's objects were to acknowledge how adolescents gain access to online movies despite the television content rating system and their parents' involvement in the adolescents' selection of movies. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with a case study approach. Informants were adolescents in the range of 11-14 years old and some parents. Results showed that most adolescents gained access to movies through online applications, namely Netflix, YouTube, Telegram, and illegal websites. These adolescents gained this information from friends and the TikTok application. Regarding the parents' involvement, most adolescents claimed that their parents did not contribute to their selection of movies, seemingly ignorant, and some parents even did not know what their children watch and do in their bedrooms. However, a few of them stated that their parents contributed to their selection of movies but sometimes gave adolescents some permission to watch unsuitable movies based on the television content rating system.

Abstract

Empowerment communication is important so the people become empowered through effective communication. The effectiveness of communication is inseparable from the role of the institutions involved in program implementation. This study aims to analyze the communication system in empowering the community the “jajar legowo” cropping system in the Integrated Plant Management Implementation Movement (GPPTT) program. The theory used in this study is the adoption of innovation. The research method is qualitative in nature, namely based on the results of field observations supported by literature studies of related journals. Data were analyzed descriptively by providing understanding and explanation so that it was easy to understand. The focus of the study was carried out in Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, as one of the implementers of the GPPTT and as a Food Barn. The communication system based on black box analysis shows that community empowerment based on the GPPTT Program is good, it is carried out based on five elements consisting of environmental input, controlled input, uncontrolled input, desired input and unwanted input. The pattern of analysis of the GPPTT program system is based on the existence of GPPPT policies, empowerment strategies and technical guidelines that affect the empowerment of farmers in adopting the jajar legowo cropping system so as to produce a paradigm shift in empowerment communication. A community empowerment communication system based on the GPPTT program based on black box analysis is a problem solving solution for farmers to adopt technology to be independent.

Abstract

Komunikasi interpersonal merupakan komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh dua orang baik secara tatap muka ataupun tidak. Penelitian ini yang bertujuan mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh komunikasi seorang pasien positif Covid-19 terhadap perubahan sikapnya dalam menjalani masa karantina. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini masyarakat Tangerang Raya yang pernah dinyatakan positif Covid-19 dan menjalani karantina berjumlah 156 sampel. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang peneliti susun menggunakan google form. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang ditemukan pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal sebesar 57,6%. Responden menilai bahwa komunikasi interpersonal mampu mengubah sikapnya selama menjalani masa karantina. Komunikasi interpersonal menjadi factor penting dalam membangun sikap positif para passion Covid-19 untuk tetapi percaya diri setelah sembuh dan bisa masuk dalam lingkungannya.

Abstract

Tangerang City is a city that is one of the capital's supporting areas, which is experiencing severe environmental pollution due to rapid urbanization, industrial activity, the large number of electric vehicles, and low public awareness of the environment. By utilizing technology and innovation to create smarter, more sustainable, and greener cities, the smart city environmental concept can provide effective solutions to environmental problems. Smart city is a concept that is applied globally, including in the city of Tangerang, Indonesia. The combination of technological developments with urban infrastructure is an effort to improve citizens' quality of life, increase the effectiveness of public services, and encourage sustainable economic growth. There is significant research development regarding the application of smart environment cities, including innovation in government, but there is still very little research regarding the application of smart environment cities and efforts to increase environmental sustainability. This study emphasizes the importance of the government's role, especially in policies, to mitigate the negative impact of urban development in Tangerang City on the environment.

Abstract

Communication has an important role in supporting the process of education and learning. To make the learning material well transformed for santri (students), an appropriate and effective communication strategy is needed. Thus, this study analyzes communication strategies in empowering entrepreneurship at Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah 2, Tangerang. This is a qualitative study and uses a case study method. Its data was collected by case studies, in-depth interviews and literature studies. Its results reveal that ustadz (teachers) in the pesantren (Islamic Boarding Schools) tend to act more as communicators in entrepreneurship learning. The message packaging strategy, which includes religious lessons, general lessons, entrepreneurship, and life skills, was delivered in three ways. The first is applying the local content curriculum to the formal learning process, the second is integrating entrepreneurship values with extracurricular activities, and the third is conveying a message of independence and responsibility in daily life within the pesantren environment. Meanwhile, the channels used is face-to-face communication and the media. The communicants involved were students of Classes 10, 11 and 12. The effects of the communication process contribute to the domains of cognition, affection, and psychomotor.

Abstract

Food security, particularly at the family level, is closely linked to women farmers' effective utilisation of yards. This study emphasises the significance of communication media as valuable sources of information for optimising yard spaces. Various forms of communication media, including forums, electronic, digital, and print media, play a crucial role in this context. The research employs a quantitative approach with qualitative data, adhering to a post-positivistic paradigm. Cluster sampling was used, involving 103 women farmers as the sample group. Quantitative data processing and analysis were performed using the scoring and descriptive methods. The findings reveal that direct communication methods, such as consulting neighbours, family members, fellow farmers within women's groups, and external contacts, are preferred by women farmers. Indirect communication via forums like WhatsApp (WA) meetings also serves as an essential platform for discussions, information exchange, and sharing experiences related to yard utilisation.

Abstract

Abstract In the first half of 2022, Ancol is rebranding by releasing a new logo. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with Charles Sanders Peirce's Semiotic Analysis, specifically applying Peirce's Second Trichotomy Theory of Triangle Meaning. Data collection techniques through documentation, literature study, and face-to-face and online interviews via Zoom. The results of this study indicate that the meaning of the message that Ancol wants to convey through its new logo from the visualisation displayed is a depiction of the Ancol parent brand, which presents beach tourism as its main tour and various educational, entertainment and recreational tours with underwater themes as Ancol's sub-brand tourism. The use of ocean blue in the logo represents the tourism identity that Ancol's parent brand presents, namely navy blue for Ancol beach tourism. The “Ancol” typography on the new logo is made with the MVB grenadine font which represents Ancol's vision, especially the letters “C” and “O'' which became an integrated unit like Ancol's vision– to evolve into the most expansive and integrated property development company in Southeast Asia.
