Abstract

The use of smartphones causes several changes in the behavior of a person who tends to be complacent with his world without caring about society. Smartphones can have a positive or negative impact depending on their use. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of smartphone communication technology on social interaction. The research method used quantitative methods, the population was carried out at PT Paragon Technology and Innovation with a sample of 150. The results showed that there was an influence in it, that smartphone communication technology has links with users related to the process of social interaction, this can be proven by how someone uses communication tools in everyday life. The social interaction built by employees within the company seems to be very good, this is evidenced by the hypothesis obtained from data processing that smartphone communication technology in every interaction with colleagues has no effect. The interaction process will run well if it is done with face-to-face communication, without any interference from the communication tool, namely smartphones.

Abstract

Food security, particularly at the family level, is closely linked to women farmers' effective utilisation of yards. This study emphasises the significance of communication media as valuable sources of information for optimising yard spaces. Various forms of communication media, including forums, electronic, digital, and print media, play a crucial role in this context. The research employs a quantitative approach with qualitative data, adhering to a post-positivistic paradigm. Cluster sampling was used, involving 103 women farmers as the sample group. Quantitative data processing and analysis were performed using the scoring and descriptive methods. The findings reveal that direct communication methods, such as consulting neighbours, family members, fellow farmers within women's groups, and external contacts, are preferred by women farmers. Indirect communication via forums like WhatsApp (WA) meetings also serves as an essential platform for discussions, information exchange, and sharing experiences related to yard utilisation.

Abstract

The global agricultural sector currently faces a serious threat in the form of a farmer regeneration crisis amidst the ambition to achieve sustainable food security. Although Smart Farming technology is readily available, its adoption rate is hampered by a sharp communication gap between senior farmers and the younger generation. This study aims to construct a convergence communication model capable of harmonizing the social capital of senior farmers and the digital capital of the younger generation. The method used is a qualitative systematic literature review approach . The analysis was conducted on various reputable literature from the Scopus, Web of Science, and Sinta databases spanning the past ten years. The results show a divergence in characteristics between the bonding social capital of senior farmers, which tends to be exclusive, and the digital capital of the younger generation, which is technocentric but lacks social relations. As a solution, this study constructs a Convergence Communication Model that integrates reverse mentoring strategies and cyclical dialogue to achieve mutual understanding . The implications of this model are the creation of an inclusive acceleration of farmer regeneration, increased resource efficiency based on a green economy , and strengthened national food stability through resilient intergenerational asset synergy.

Abstract
