Abstract

ABSTRACT. Compound of N-phenyl-3-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-(3,4-dimethoxy-phenyl) pyrazoline was synthesized by cycloaddition reaction. The structure of the product was chracterized by FTIR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectrometers. The pyrazoline was screened for antibacterial activity using agar diffusion method against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Bacillus subtillis, Shigella flexnerri, and Escherichia coli. The pyrazoline had been synthesized from chalcone with phenylhydrazine to give 52.90% yield. Antibacterial screening showed that pyrazoline was active against selected gram positive bacteria. The pyrazoline was found to exhibits an antibacterial activity and its zone of inhibition/concentration against S. aureus (8.75/300), B. cereus (7.75/1000), B. subtillis (6.50/1000), and E. coli (3.50/300). The result showed that pyrazoline which was subtituted with chloro and methoxy, was able to posse broad spectrum of the tested pathogenic bacteria. Keywords: chalcone, pyrazoline, antibacterial

Abstract

Sources of waste in Karawang Regency come from various activities of residents who are concentrated in locations such as residential, commercial, social facilities and public facilities. Each source of waste has characteristics for the generation, composition and characteristics of the resulting waste. In general, the source of waste is divided into household (domestic) and non-household (non-domestic). It is known that the generation of waste for the domestic sector of households is 2.93 L/person/day or 0.42 Kg/person/ day. But when viewed from the economic level, high income housing has the highest generation of 3.27 L/person/day. This is because differences in economic level and lifestyle affect the consumption level of the residents of the House. The higher the level of community life, the greater the waste generation. Based on the calculation results, it is known that the value of waste generation of each facility is different. This is because each facility has different activities. Shops have the highest generation of 3.78 L/person/day, followed by markets and roads as much as 1.55 L/m2/day and 1.12 L/ m2/day. This indicates that the activity of the store produces more waste than the market and the street. When reviewing the waste generation of Karawang Regency, the generation is greater than the domestic sector alone. The result of one area of Karawang Regency showed the waste generation is 0.56 Kg/person/day or 4.06 L/person/day.

Abstract

One of the causes of the silting of the Sagara Anakan, estuary of Citanduy River is due to sedimentation caused by changes in land use, which causes the erosion rate to become uncontrollable. To predict the rate of surface erosion of the Ciseel watershed, one of Citanduy tributary, the USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) method was used, while the Geographic Information System was used to assist in the analysis of spatial data. The results of the analysis of the rate of erosion in the Ciseel watershed show that in 2006 it was 28 tons/ha/yr, in 2012 it was 44.2 tons/ha/yr and in 2016 it was 49.9 tons/ha/yr, so it belongs to the erosion hazard class II/mild. based on the USDA classification. From the results of this study, it can be shown that the rate of surface erosion in the Ciseel watershed has a small contribution to sedimentation in Sagara Anakan. The simulation of land use change as an effort to reduce the rate of erosion from dry agricultural land to rice fields is expected to reduce the rate of erosion up to 24.7% in 2016.

Abstract

Daerah penelitian terletak di Kecamatan Ciamis, Kabupaten Ciamis, Propinsi Jawa Barat dengan luas daerah ± 3385 Hektar. Geomorfologinya terdiri dari daerah pedataran hingga perbukitan bergelombang curam dengan batuan penyusunnya adalah batuan volkanik muda. Tataguna lahan permukiman di daerah ini mencapai ± 51,90% (± 1757 ha). Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian lahan permukiman adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan memanfaatkan peta geomorfologi, tata guna lahan, hidrogeologi, jenis tanah, gerakan tanah, litologi serta peta kegempaan. Dari setiap peta-peta parameter geologi memiliki sub kelas ditumpang tindihkan dan dihitung nilai (skor) dan nilai (bobot) setiap parameter, kemudian diklasifikasikan berdasarkan total bobot yang diperoleh, maka diperoleh Peta Tingkat Kesesuaian Lahan untuk Permukiman berbasis Geologi. Berdasarkan hasil peneltian, maka di Kecamatan Ciamis dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi 3 (tiga) Tingkat Kesesuaian Lahan yaitu Tingkat Kesesuaian Lahan Permukiman Sesuai dengan luas 1047 ha (30,930 %), Tingkat Kesesuaian Lahan Permukiman Cukup Sesuai dengan luas 1979 ha (58,463 %) dan Tingkat Kesesuaian Lahan Permukiman Kurang Sesuai dengan luas 358 ha (10,576 %).
