Abstract

Perioperative anesthesia is the management before, during, and after surgery. In geriatric patients, perioperative anesthesia management considers age and changes that occur in physiological aging, including decreased organ function, systemic abnormalities, and including anodontia. Transurethral Resection of Prostate (TURP) is a prostate resection procedure that uses endoscopy, such as BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) or Prostate cancer. A 65-year-old geriatric man with suspected prostate cancer came to the emergency room with the initial complaint of not being able to urinate since 1 week before entering the hospital, and had done TURP with regional anesthesia.

Abstract

Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) is the most severe pain in the world, where patients experience a painful condition from the face that significantly impacts the quality of life and socio economic function of affected patients. The pathophysiology of TN is still unclear, it is thought that TN occurs due to compression of the root entry zone of the trigeminal nerve near the origin of the brain stem and this local pressure causes demyelination which leads to abnormal depolarization which results in ectopic impulses. The sphenopalatine ganglion is a parasympathetic ganglion that is connected to the trigeminal, facial, and sympathetic systems and consists of somatosensory, sympathetic, and parasympathetic nerve fibers. This ganglion receives sensory impulses from around the face. TN Management can in a way pharmacological and surgical; however, it is not capable in a way of effectively relieving, since the technology of radiofrequency ablation, TN patients can be done with radiofrequency ablation with satisfactory results, even one daycare.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide a view of various literature that already exists in the research results so as to contribute to the field of human resources. This paper uses qualitative methods by collecting literature related to the results or findings of papers within a period of ten years and given answers in the form of perceptions from these researchers as a form of contribution in the field of human resources. In general, from the variety found in this paper with the use of variables, results are found in various papers and research objects, but if it is made in all where the variables in one paper are not found existing literature from various journals. Furthermore, intuitive leadership variables have not been found specifically with variables that exist in the findings of papers in various journals.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to improve the managerial capacity of cooperatives in Indonesia by conducting a literature review on the role of management in cooperative performance. Methodology/approach: A qualitative approach was applied by collecting and analyzing relevant research from both nationally accredited and internationally reputable journals. The selected literature focuses on cooperative performance, management roles, digital transformation, and strategic challenges in Indonesia. Results/findings: Cooperatives in Indonesia play a strategic role in supporting the national economy. However, they face significant obstacles, including limited human resources, weak internal business processes, and increased competition. The findings show that cooperative performance can be improved through better customer service and more efficient operations. Conclusion: Cooperatives can enhance their competitiveness and long-term sustainability by adopting digital technology and applying effective management strategies. These improvements are crucial for helping cooperatives adapt to a rapidly changing economic environment. Limitations: This study was limited to secondary data obtained from the existing literature. Thus, the applicability of the findings may vary depending on the type and scale of the cooperative, and further empirical validation is recommended. Contribution: This study contributes to the understanding of how cooperatives can improve their managerial quality, strengthen relationships with their members, and adopt innovation to remain relevant. It also offers a foundation for future research on strategies to support cooperative development in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: The most common hemodynamic complication associated with spinal anesthesia is hypotension, hence the need for fluid coloading. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lactated ringer coloading fluid on blood pressure stability. Methods: This study was conducted using a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. This study was conducted at X Hospital in the West Java region from March to April 2024. The research was carried out in the operating room after spinal anesthesia and after the administration of Ringer's lactate. The research instrument used an initial blood pressure observation sheet, blood pressure after spinal anesthesia, and after giving lactated ringer coloading with a calculation of 10 cc/kg of patient weight. The population in this study was all patients who underwent spinal anesthesia, and the sample of this study amounted to 60 patients with non non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling. Data analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate analysis. This study has carried out data normality tests and research ethics. Bivariate analysis in this study used a Paired t-test.Results: The results showed that after spinal anesthesia, most (51.7%) patients had hypotension. After being given lactated ringer coloading, most patients (68.3%) had normal blood pressure. Systolic blood pressure increased by 9,750 mmHg, and diastolic also increased by 6,500 mmHg.Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that lactated ringer coloading has a significant effect on both systolic and diastolic blood pressure stability after spinal anesthesia.
