Abstract

One of the challenges in monitoring exams in the classroom or closed room is the limited eye of the tire supervisor if he/she continues to monitor for a long time. Therefore, many behaviors of students cheating over the escape. One solution to overcome this problem is to implement an smart monitoring system that capable of detecting student exam cheating. A number of studies on smart monitoring systems have been conducted. However, the studies have not archieved optimal accuracy in identifying exam cheating. Therefore, this study provides a method to detect exam cheating in a closed room. The method used to detect the object is YOLO version 8 (Yolov8). Before training using the YOLOv8 method, hyperparameter tuning was made to generate best model performance. The test results have shown that the Yolov8s model has created the best performance with the precision, recall, IoU-Score and mAP50 values ​​of 0.952, 0.966, 0.8977 and 0.984. Testing in the working environment shows that the Yolov8s model can detect exam cheating in real time at a frame rate of 28 fps. Although it has achieved quite optimal performance. However, the performance of this exam cheating monitoring system can still be improved. Furthermore, this study has limitations, specifically that it can only detect cheating in the place where the dataset was collected.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas operasional dan pemasaran Fotocopy Rachma di Tembalang, Semarang, dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Mitra kami menghadapi kendala dalam manajemen pemesanan pelanggan yang masih bergantung pada metode tradisional dan pemasaran yang terbatas. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, solusi yang diajukan adalah pengembangan aplikasi Android untuk manajemen pesanan yang lebih efisien dan penerapan strategi pemasaran digital untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar. Selain itu, dilakukan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi tersebut kepada pemilik dan karyawan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam menggunakan teknologi ini. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah peningkatan efisiensi operasional, lebih terorganisirnya proses pemesanan, serta meningkatnya daya saing dan volume transaksi Fotocopy Rachma di pasar yang lebih luas. Melalui pemanfaatan teknologi, diharapkan dapat membawa dampak positif dalam perkembangan UKM ini serta memberikan nilai tambah yang berkelanjutan. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model bagi UKM lainnya dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk meningkatkan kinerja. Dengan penerapan teknologi yang tepat, Fotocopy Rachma dapat bersaing di pasar yang semakin kompetitif.

Abstract

One of the diseases with a fairly high number of sufferers today is Diabetes Mellitus. The increase in the number of people with diabetes is caused by delays in diagnosis and also difficulties in monitoring the blood sugar level. Therefore, a solution is needed to overcome this problem, namely a blood sugar level monitoring system to predict and detect. The blood sugar level monitoring system is an intelligent system that can monitor blood sugar levels in Diabetes Mellitus patients. This system aims to make it easier for patients to check blood sugar levels regularly, to minimize the occurrence of increased blood sugar levels that aggravate the disease. Moreover, machine learning algorithms are a viable method used in recent studies for analyzing, predicting, and classifying health data while improving the health conditions of telemonitoring and telediagnosis. The main purpose of this article is to employ machine learning algorithms for blood sugar level classification in real time. The results of this study indicate that the system can be used to monitor blood sugar levels. The results of the implementation of the system that can be used by users include monitoring the results of measuring blood sugar levels. Abstract

This study explores a digital transformation initiative implemented for UMKM Bakat Jaya, a micro-enterprise based in Magelang specializing in animal feed production. Initially hindered by limited market reach, low digital literacy, and a lack of integrated technological tools, the enterprise relied primarily on traditional social media platforms for promotion. To address these challenges, a comprehensive and user-friendly website was developed using WordPress, featuring a professional company profile, product gallery, contact information, and seamless integration with existing social media accounts. The project was executed in four key phases: needs identification, website design and development, training and mentoring, and implementation followed by evaluation. Remote interviews and surveys were conducted to assess the partner’s needs, while capacity-building activities empowered stakeholders to manage the digital platform independently. Preliminary outcomes indicate a substantial improvement in market visibility, customer engagement, and operational efficiency. The results highlight the potential of structured digital interventions to transform the promotional strategies of rural micro and small enterprises, offering a scalable and sustainable model for enhancing competitiveness in similar contexts.

Abstract

Percetakan UFA Berkah, sebuah UMKM di Kecamatan Tembalang, Kota Semarang, menghadapi potensi pemasaran yang kurang efektif dalam era digital. Aktifitas pengabdian terhadap mitra bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pemasaran pada percetakan UFA Berkah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggabungkan observasi dan wawancara dengan pihak usaha, serta melibatkan pembuatan toko online dan pelatihan strategi pemasaran digital. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengatasi permasalahan mitra menggunakan metode Asset-Based Community Development yang implementasinya diterapkan melalui Diskusi Kelompok Terarah, Kegiatan penyuluhan dan sosialisasi, Kegiatan pelatihan, dan Pengawasan. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman tentang pentingnya media digital dalam promosi usaha di era ini. Lebih jauh lagi, pengabdian ini berhasil meningkatkan penjualan percetakan UFA Berkah sebesar 2%, menggambarkan dampak positif dari pendekatan media digital dan strategi pemasaran yang diadopsi. Inisiatif ini menjadi contoh tentang bagaimana UMKM mampu beradaptasi dengan perubahan teknologi, memperluas jangkauan pasar, dan mengoptimalkan potensi pertumbuhan bisnis di tengah perkembangan digital yang terus berlanjut.

Abstract

Pada era saat ini hampir semua kegiatan tidak terkecuali bidang pendidikan sudah menerapkan penggunaan teknologi dalam menjalankan kegiatan pembelajaran. Yayasan Islam Nurus Sunnah yang terletak di Kelurahan Bulusan Kecamatan Tembalang Kota Semarang belum menerapkan teknologi informasi untuk sistem penilaian guru. Permasalah utama yang ada Yayasan Nurus Sunnah ini adalah melakukan penilaian guru mitra masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga mengalami beberapa kendala. Kendala yang dihadapi yaitu data yang tidak terintegrasi, kurangnya aksesibilitas terhadap data, proses penilaian yang tidak fleksibel dan keamanan data yang kurang terjamin. Alternatif solusi yang akan diterapkan pada mitra tersebut adalah menyediakan sistem online berbasis web untuk proses penilaian kinerja guru. Proses digitalisai penilaian guru diharapkan dapat mengintegrasikan data dan mempermudah proses penilaian guru. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari empat tahapan, tahapan pertama adalah identifikasi kebutuhan untuk kegiatan observasi lapangan, diskusi dengan mitra, dan analisis situasi untuk menetapkan permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra. Tahapan  kedua adalah perencanan dilakukan dengan proses desain aplikasi dan database aplikasi online berbasis web serta pembuatan aplikasi web dan database. Tahapan ketiga digunakan untuk pelatihan SDM agar terampil dalam mengoperasikan sistem aplikasi berbasis web dan sekaligus dilakukan uji coba (trial and error) penerapan dan koreksi sistem aplikasi web. Tahapan keempat adalah evaluasi terkait kerja sistem. Impelementasi hasil kegiatan menunjukkan meningkatkan performansi kegiatan penilaian guru yang dilakukan setiap periode menjadi lebih cepat dan akurat. Mitra mendapatkan dampak positif dengan diterapkannya sistem digitalisasi sistem penilaian guru. Solusi ini yang diberikan terbukti bisa efektif untuk membantu dalam manajemen penilaian guru pada mitra.   Nowadays, almost all educational activities are conducted online unless the field of education has already adopted the use of technology in teaching. The Nurus Sunnah of Islam that is practiced in the Kelurahan Bulusan Kecamatan Tembalang Kota Semarang does not use information technology for its guru certification system. The primary problem with this Yayasan Nurus Sunnah is that the mitra penilaian is mostly done manually, resulting in a few kendals. The data that is being handled include incomplete data, inconsistent data accessibility, non-flexible data processing procedures, and inconsistent data quality. Offering these partners a web-based online system for the teacher performance assessment procedure is an alternate approach that will be used. It is anticipated that the digitization process for teacher assessments will facilitate data integration and streamline the process. There are four stages to this activity. The first is determining the need for field observation exercises, partner discussions, and situation analysis to ascertain the issues that partners are facing. The creation of web applications and databases, along with the application design process and web-based online application database, comprise the second stage of planning. In the third stage, HR personnel receive training on how to effectively operate web-based application systems and conduct trial-and-error procedures for the purpose of implementing and optimizing web application systems. The assessment of the system's functionality is the fourth step. The application of the activity results demonstrates that there has been an increase in the speed and accuracy of the teacher assessment tasks completed each period. Partners' implementation of the teacher assessment system's digitalization has produced positive results. It has been demonstrated that this solution works well to help partners manage teacher assessments.

Abstract

Seed inspection is crucial for plant nurseries and farmers as it ensures seed quality when growing seedlings. It is traditionally accomplished by expert inspectors filtering samples manually, but there are some challenges, such as cost, accuracy, and large numbers. Speed and accuracy were the main conditions for increasing agricultural productivity. Machine learning is a sub-science of Artificial Intelligence that can be applied in research on the classification of rice seed quality. The pipeline of a machine learning system is dataset collection, training, validation, and testing. Model making begins with taking data on the characteristics of rice seeds based on physical parameters in the form of seed shape and color. The dataset used is two thousand images divided into two categories, namely superior seeds and non-superior seeds. Training and Validation was conducted using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm with the concept of cross-validation on Google Collaboratory notebooks. The ratio split of train data and validation data in modeling from a dataset is 80:20. The result of the model formed is a model with the development of a Deep Convolutional Neural Network (Deep CNN) that can classify the digital image data of rice seeds from the results of data calls uploaded into the system. The results of the experiment conducted on 30 test data can be analyzed so that the system can classify superior and non-superior seeds with a precision value of 93% and a recall of 95%.

Abstract

This study investigates a Wi-Fi-based indoor navigation system to determine building locations. The system was developed using the fingerprint method from the Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) of each Access Point (AP). The main components of a smartphone-based system use data from Wi-Fi and the Global Positioning System (GPS). The system developed for navigation is designed and implemented as an element of a dynamic, seamless mobility planning and building location route guidance application. Building map data is collected from Google Map data and enhanced by coloring the geographic location of buildings displayed on mobile devices. Navigational aids collected from sensors provide trip orientation and position updates. The approach of measuring the distance between known positions is compared to those displayed in the application with the haversine formula to measure the accuracy of the position displayed. A series of experiments were conducted in the Politeknik Negeri Semarang area, Indonesia. The experiment results showed that the Wi-Fi-based indoor positioning system was accurate within 7.050 meters of the error for that location, thus proving the system's usefulness for determining the location of buildings in the campus area. The measurement has not adopted the maximum APs placement for signal coverage and strength, only using the existing APs positions. The temperature nor humidity was neither measured in each area where the AP was installed, which is discussed later. This system can help visitors without asking, even though they have only visited once.
