Abstract

This research presents an automated voltage regulation system crucial for a power input test of electric irons based on SNI IEC 60335-2-3 clause 11.4. The system is designed with an Arduino-based proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control mechanism to augment voltage stability and meet the standard requirement. The system comprises a microcontroller for PID control, a dimmer as the actuator, and a voltage sensor for error measurement. It utilizes the Ziegler-Nichols (Z-N) oscillation method to determine the PID control parameters. The simulation results identified a third-order transfer function as the best fit for the system, and the optimal PID parameters for the system are Kp=60, Ki=125, and Kd=500. The system was tested under the electric iron's active and non-active conditions. The proposed PID system demonstrated stable responses, effectively regulating the system voltage with minimal overshoot and settling time, and meeting standard requirements even under varying load conditions. It suggests potential applications beyond electric iron testing, promising efficiency improvements in broader household product testing.

Abstract

ABSTRAKBerbagai penelitian telah dilakukan untuk meningkatkan lebar keseragaman medan magnet dengan menyusun beberapa kumparan untuk diaplikasikan pada berbagai bidang. Namun, pembuatannya tidaklah sederhana dan perlu dikaji validitas besar medan yang dihasilkan secara teoritis dan praktis. Tujuan penelitian adalah merancang sistem verifikasi medan magnet untuk sumber magnet kumparan sejajar. Metode yang digunakan adalah merancang sistem yang terdiri dari sensor medan magnet, pengendali posisi, dan pengolah data. Uji akurasi pengendali posisi, linieritas rangkaian sensor, dan akurasi pengukuran medan magnet dilakukan untuk mengetahui kinerja sistem. Hasil pengujian menunjukan pengendali posisi memiliki akurasi 99,99% - 100%. Rangkaian sensor memiliki linieritas tinggi dengan nilai R2 = 0,9995. Nilai rata-rata akurasi pengukuran medan magnet Helmholtz mencapai 99,943% sedangkan medan magnet tiga kumparan mencapai 99,483%. Hasil pengujian menunjukan sistem dapat digunakan memverifikasi sumber magnet kumparan sejajar.Kata kunci: medan magnet, verifikasi, pengendali posisi, uji akurasi, kumparan sejajar ABSTRACTStudies have been carried out to increase the width of the magnetic field uniformity by arranging several coils that are applied in the various field. However, its construction is complex and the validity of its magnetic fields quantity is necessary to study theoretically and practically. The purpose of this research is to design a magnetic field verification system for a parallel coil magnet source. The method used is to design a system consisting of a magnetic field sensor, position controller, and data processor. Tests of position control accuracy, sensor circuit linearity, and magnetic field measurement accuracy were carried out to determine system performance. The test results show that the position controller has an accuracy of 99.99% - 100%. The sensor circuit has high linearity of R2 = 0.9995. The average value of the Helmholtz magnetic field measurement accuracy reaches 99.943%, while that of the three-coil magnetic field reaches 99.483%. The test results show the system can be used to verify the magnet source formed by parallel coil.Keywords: magnetic field, verification, position control, accuracy test, parallel coil

Abstract

The national Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) database needs to be built, collaborated and integrated to harmonize LCI data, research and information systems across all stakeholders nationally.  The goals of national LCI data harmonization are to: advance national data, research, and information systems by leveraging multi-agency resources and expertise; improve consistency in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methods developed by each institution to develop LCA results for decision-making and public disclosure; and enhance public and national institutions to access harmonized data in a standardized searchable format from a common repository. However, the low number of LCI datasets originating from Indonesia results in using other countries' LCI databases that have the potential for high errors and uncertainties and do not represent supply chain data for specific geographical locations in conducting LCA for Indonesian products. The Research Center for Sustainable Production Systems and Life Cycle Assessment (PR SPB PDH) at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), an institution tasked with establishing a national database for LCI in Indonesia, is currently entering the stage of collecting LCI datasets. This paper proposes recommendations for developing a national platform for the LCI database in Indonesia. The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis from a comparative review of national databases of various countries. The study reveals that the development that has started fulfilled several criteria. However, some requirements must still be met to become a comprehensive LCI national database.

Abstract

Polymer materials are widely used due to their versatility; however, their vulnerability to fire is a significant concern, especially under electrical influences on engineered mechanical designs and marine structure applications. This study examines the fire resistance of a polypropylene (PP) blend using Glow-Wire Flammability Index (GWFI) and Glow-Wire Ignition Temperature (GWIT) tests. While previous research typically relies on flame-retardants to address flammability, this work proposes using a simple 1:1 weight ratio blend of two distinct PP types. This specific PP blend was selected to provide balanced material properties and improved processing consistency. The results from glow-wire tests were compared with previous findings to evaluate flammability performance. Our findings reveal that although the PP blend offers enhanced fire resistance compared to neat PP, it remains inferior to PP-containing flame-retardant additives. The outcomes suggest that this blended PP may be suitable for applications where mechanical properties, cost-effectiveness, and recyclability precede fire resistance, such as engineered automotive interiors, mechanical design of marine transportation, and low-risk electrical components in engineering infrastructure. This initial research contributes valuable insights into the fire behavior of PP blends. Moreover, it establishes a foundation for future investigations into polymer fire resistance, encouraging additional glow-wire testing on other polymer systems.

Abstract

In the early of 2020 the world was shocked by the presence of the Covid-19, a virus with a very rapid spread and became the highest cause of death in the world. Indonesia is among of countries that heavily affected by this virus. Various policies are implemented so that the spread chain of the virus is broken, ranging from work from home, physical distancing to Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB). The impact of PSBB is also felt by offline shop owners who are forced to close their shops due to activity restrictions, which causes a loss of income or a drastic reduction in sales turnover. Due to the pandemic, business owners are required to do efforts to adapt to current conditions, one of which is utilizing technology in conducting online sales. Bojong Village, Pondok Terong Subdistrict, is an area that has many private business owners and MSMEs. In regard of the above problems statement, the Community Service Group (PKM) of the Industrial Engineering Study Program at the University of Pamulang held a training on the optimization of online sales during the Covid-19 pandemic for conventional business groups. It is expected that this training can increase the understanding of PKM participants using online sales technology to maintain their business.

Abstract

Salah satu kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) di Universitas Pamulang adalah melakukan pembinaan kepada UMKM. Mitra kegiatan PKM adalah Mantep Kitchen Jaya Production yang bergerak dalam produksi makanan dimana salah satunya adalah bakso daging sapi yang dikemas dalam kemasan yang telah di vaccum. Persoalan yang dihadapi mitra adalah terjadinya penurunan penjualan draktis sejak pandemi Covid-19. Salah satu tujuan dari manajemen mutu adalah selain mematuhi peraturan instansi yang berlaku juga fokus kepada pelanggan dimana semua dilakukan untuk memenuhi kepuasan pelanggan. Oleh karena itu untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut tim PKM dan pemilik usaha UMKM sepakat untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan pembinaan manajemen mutu berbasis ISO 9001: 2015. Pada kegiatan ini adalah pengenalan/awareness atas ISO 9001: 2015 dengan empat tahapan ; (1) Koordinasi dan Perencanaan, (2) Pelaksanaan Kegiatan, (3) Monitoring dan Evaluasi, (4) Pelaporan Kegiatan. Keluaran dari bimbingan tahap pertama ini adalah rekomendasi yang dapat digunakan oleh subjek dalam implementasi sistem manajemen mutu pada tahap awal yaitu awareness akan manajemen mutu. Dengan rekomendasi tersebut pemilik UMKM Mantep Kitchen Jaya Production dapat mengetahui prinsip manajemen mutu yang telah diterapkan serta yang dapat diterapkan selanjutnya untuk meningkatkan manajemen mutu.

Abstract

Coaching the micro-enterprises is one of the Community Service (PKM) activities at Pamulang University. This current activity is the second phase of PKM activity at Mantep Kitchen Jaya Production. The first stage is to provide guidance on awareness of quality management, which introduces and conducts gap analysis on Mantep Kitchen Jaya Production's micro-enterprises in terms of to what extent this micro-business aware of quality management. The result of the analysis is that recommendations are given to improve quality management. One of the recommendations given is that the Mantep Kitchen Jaya Production micro business needs to start implementing a documentation system in accordance with the rules of ISO 9001:2015. Therefore, the second PKM activity is to build awareness of the quality management system documentation. This second phase of activity, which was carried out for 2.5 months, implemented 3 steps: (1) Coordination and Planning, (2) Documentation Adjustment, and (3) ISO 9001 Documentation in the form of forms tailored to the needs of the business partners. With the form that is part of the documentation, the micro business owner of Mantep Kitchen Jaya Production can find out how to apply documentation to the quality management system.

Abstract

Peran Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki kontribusi yang sangat penting terhadap perekonomian Indonesia yaitu perluasan kesempatan kerja. Dalam menciptakan usaha bukan hanya diperlukan kemampuan berproduksi tapi juga kemampuan dalam mengelolah usaha tersebut. Laporan harga produksi adalah salah satu informasi yang berguna bagi wirausaha dalam menjalankan usahanya. Menentukan harga pokok produksi diperlukan agar memiliki pengetahuan dalam mengelolah biaya. Umumnya masyarakat Desa Koper belum mempunyai memiliki pengetahuan dalam menghitung harga pokok produksi. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, team PKM dari Universitas Pamulang melakukan pelatihan laporan harga pokok produksi. Dari hasil evaluasi didapat bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta PKM tentang harga pokok produksi serta yang berkaitan dengan hal tersebut. Diharapkan setelahnya dapat dipraktekan dalam menjalankan UMKM sebagai bahan pertimbangan penentuan harga jual serta keputusan lain.

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) di desa binaan yaitu Desa Ciampea Udik, Kecamatan Ciampea, Kabupaten Bogor merupakan bagian intergrasi dari PKM dibawah Prodi Teknik Industri Universitas Pamulang yang dilakukan sebelumnya yaitu pelatihan pembuatan sabun cuci piring diharapkan menjadi peluang hasil produksi masyarakat desa untuk mendapatkan penghasilan. Dalam menjalankan usaha produksi sabun cuci piring diperlukan informasi keuangan yang tepat sesuai dengan standar akuntansi keuangan, salah satunya adalah perhitungan harga pokok produksi. Perhitungan ini memberi informasi berapa biaya produksi baik secara total maupun per unit barang, sehingga bukan hanya berfungsi memberi informasi laporan laba rugi namun juga menjadi bahan pengambilan keputusan dalam menetapkan harga jual produk sabun cuci piring. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dilakukan dengan 3 tahap yaitu (1) Koordinasi dan Perencanaan, (2) Pelaksanaan dan (3) Evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dihasilkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dalam perhitungan harga pokok produksi dan penetapan harga jual produk.Kata Kunci : Harga Pokok Produksi, Harga Jual

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) di desa binaan Kampung Bojong, Desa Kadikaran, Kecamatan Ciruas, Serang merupakan bagian intergrasi dari PKM dibawah Prodi Teknik Industri Universitas Pamulang.  Salah satu yang diberikan adalah pelatihan pembuatan minuman herbal jahe, diharapkan dengan pelatihan tersebut menjadi salah satu usaha produksi baru di Desa Kampung Bojong, Desa Kadikaran, Kecamatan Ciruas, Serang. Dalam menjalankan UMKM produksi minuman herbal jahe tidak lepas dari pentingnya pengelolaan keuangan. Mendapatkan laba merupakan tujuan setiap wirausaha dalam menjalankan UMKM, oleh karena itu penting bagi UMKM membuat laporan laba rugi sebagai alat ukur keberhasilan usahanya. Pada PKM ini dilakukan pelatihan membuat laporan laba rugi yang terdiri dari laporan biaya produksi, laporan harga pokok produksi, laporan harga pokok penjualan dan laporan laba rugi. Metode pelaksanaan pada PKM ini terdiri 3 tahap yaitu: (1) Perencanaan, (2) Pelaksanaan dan (3) Evaluasi. Keluaran yang diharapkan adalah peserta PKM mampu membuat laporan laba rugi atas produksi minumal herbal jahe. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dihasilkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dalam perhitungan laporan laba rugi.Kata Kunci : Laba Rugi, Minuman Herbal Jahe
