Abstract

Obat tradisional sejak dulu dikenal di kalangan masyarakat di Indonesia, selain itu penggunaan obat tradisional sering dinilai lebih aman dibandingkan dengan penggunaan obat modern karena obat tradisional memiliki efek samping yang relatif lebih rendah dari pada obat modern. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan masyarakat tentang obat tadisional di Kelurahan Dumuhung. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dan metode Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 33 responden, dengan menggunakan teknik sampling Purposive Sampling. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan umur responden terbanyak berada pada usia 20-40 tahun sebanyak 18 responden (54.5%), jenis kelamin terbanyak yaitu perempuan 17 responden (71,5%), tamatan pendidikan terbanyak strata satu (S1) 14 orang (14,4%). (71,5%), pengetahuan masyarakat tentang obat tradisional yaitu kurang 5 orang (15,2%), cukup 14 orang (42,4%), baik 14 orang (42,4%) dan yang pernah menggunakan obat tradisional sebanyak 19 responden (97%), Jenis obat tradisional yang digunakan terbanyak adalah Jahe 4 orang (12%). Pada umumnya masih banyak masyarakat memanfaatkan pengobatan secara tradisional. Dapat disimpulkan penelitian mayoritas responden memiliki pengetahuan pada kategori cukup menggunakan obat tradisional untuk mengobati penyakit yang dialami. Disarankan hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan alternatif pengobatan non farmakologi bagi masyarakat dalam penggunaan obat tradisional.

Abstract

The Sangihe Islands Regency is an outermost Indonesian archipelago with a significant number of adolescents and faces serious challenges related to adolescent mental health. One prominent case was a suicide attempt by a student at SMK Negeri 3 Tahuna due to depression, reflecting the importance of psychosocial interventions in the school environment. The "GAMBLANG" Community Service Program (PMUP) was implemented as a promotional and preventive effort to increase students' knowledge and awareness of mental health. Activities included counseling, pre-post tests, and early detection of mental health using the LiveWell by Zurich application. The analysis showed a significant increase in student knowledge (p < 0.05) after the counseling, and 1 in 12 students showed signs of a real mental disorder. This program was also followed by the provision of a first aid kit to support the establishment of a school health center (UKS). The GAMBLANG program is expected to become an effective school-based intervention model in increasing the mental resilience of adolescents in border areas.

Abstract

Premarital sexual behavior among adolescents is often influenced by encouraging factors, such as internal intentions, social support from parents and friends, ease of access to information related to pornography and opportunities that encourage premarital sexual behavior among adolescents. This study aims to analyze the relationship between parental roles and premarital sexual behavior among adolescents in North Tabukan District, Sangihe Islands Regency. This research employed an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of parents and adolescents, with a total sample of 120 respondents selected through consecutive sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were collected using questionnaires on parental roles and premarital sexual behavior, and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that most parents had good roles (71.7%), while the majority of adolescents exhibited good premarital sexual behavior (99.2%). Although the statistical test indicated no significant relationship between parental roles and premarital sexual behavior (p = 0.110), descriptive analysis revealed a tendency for better parental roles to be associated with more positive adolescent behavior. Furthermore, attitudes showed a significant relationship with premarital sexual behavior (p = 0.000). In conclusion, parental roles, knowledge, and attitudes play a crucial role in shaping healthy premarital sexual behavior among adolescents; therefore, family-based interventions should be strengthened through open communication and comprehensive sexual education.
