Abstract

Knowing the effect of using Etno-STEM integrated science e-module learning media with Movement and Style material on students' cognitive learning outcomes is the aim of this research. The research is a quantitative type of experimental research with a Quasi Experimental method carried out with Nonequivalent Control Group Design as the research design. Taking research sample classes involves nonprobability sampling techniques with purposive sampling techniques. The variable that has an influence is in the form of an Etno-STEM integrated science e-module on Movement and Style material with student learning outcomes as the influenced variable. Data analysis uses the t test which must previously meet the prerequisite tests in the form of validity and homogeneity which is then determined from the n-gain test. The experimental class average was 71.20 and the n-gain was 0.43, while the control class average was 62.53 and the n-gain was 0.33. The results of the hypothesis test obtained a value of tcount > ttable, namely with a value of 3.37 > 2.00, resulting in H0 being rejected and H1 being accepted. So the conclusion from this data is that there is an influence of the use of Etno-STEM integrated science e-modules on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keterlaksanaan model PBL berbantuan media audiovisual, untuk mengetahui pengaruh dalam pelaksanaan model PBL berbantuan media audiovisual, dan untuk mengetahui respon belajar siswa dalam pelaksanaan model PBL berbantuan media audiovisual di kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VII dan sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII 9 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII 10 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model PBL berbantuan media audiovisual, angket respon siswa dan soal tes keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan SPSS 26 for Windows. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, keterlaksanaan model PBL berbantuan media audiovisual berjalan sangat baik dengan presentase 100%. Hasil uji hipotesis yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji Mann Whitney adalah sig. 0,000< 0,05 maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Respon siswa terhadap angket yang diberikan sebanyak 88,80% siswa menjawab “ya” dan 11,20% siswa menjawab “tidak”. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PBL dengan media audiovisual memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VII SMP N 13 Padang.

Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini secara umum yaitu bahan ajar yang digunakan di sekolah masih belum sesuai dengan tuntutan baru pada kurikulum merdeka yaitu penilaian berupa potofolio berbasis proyek dan tidak ada pegangan guru dalam kegiatan proyek yang bisa diintegrasikan dengan PjBL-STEM sesuai tuntutan kurikulum. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan e-modul pembelajaran IPA berbasis PjBL-STEM pada materi Struktur dan Fungsi Tubuh Mahkluk Hidup yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari tahapan define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Namun, penelitian ini hanya dilakukan sampai tahap pengembangan karena keterbatasan waktu. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari angket guru, angket peserta didik, angket uji validitas, angket uji praktikalitas, dan angket uji efektifitas. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan rumus untuk menganalisis hasil uji validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektifitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul berbasis PjBL-STEM yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat validitas pada kategori sangat valid dengan rata- rata 88%. Tingkat praktikalitas pada kategori sangat praktis dengan rata-rata 90%. Dan tingkat efektifitas pada kategori sangat efektif dengan rata-rata 88%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul pembelajaran IPA berbasis PjBL-STEM pada materi Struktur dan Fungsi Tubuh Mahkluk Hidup telah memenuhi kategori valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of junior high school students using Science Teaching Aids media on the Topic D Phase Solar System. This research is a classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles. Each cycle that is run consists of the stages of Planning, Acting, Observing, and Reflecting. From the results of research regarding the application of learning media using teaching aids to improve the learning outcomes of students in Phase D Science material on the Solar System using teaching aids. which was held at SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang. This research has the aim that the use of teaching aids in this research can successfully improve students' learning outcomes in science material about the Solar System in class VII. 2 SMP Kartika 1 – 7 Padang. In cycle I, meeting 1, 24% of students achieved a minimum score of 80. In cycle II, meeting 1, the percentage of students who achieved a minimum score of 80 was 36%. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Google Site Web on students' critical thinking skills on temperature, heat and expansion materials. The type of research used is Quasi Experiment with a Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The sample was taken using the Purposive Sampling technique, so that 65 students of SMP N 2 Payakumbuh were selected for grades VII 9 and VII 10. Data collection is carried out by giving pretest and posttest questions. Based on the data obtained, the tests used are the t-test for pretest and posttest. The t-test in the pretest obtained a tcount value = 3.68 > a ttable of 2.00 which means that there is a significant difference so that Ha is accepted. Meanwhile, in the t-posttest test, the tcount value = 2.29 > ttable 2.00 which means that there is a significant difference in the average of the experimental and control classes. So, based on the results obtained from the mean difference test, it was found that there was a significant difference between the average of the experimental and control classes before and after being given treatment. When we get different research results, to see the effect can be seen from the improvement of the learning outcomes of the two sample classes. Therefore, the N-gain test is used. The results of the hypothesis calculation used are the U test or the Man Whitney test because the data obtained on the N-gain is abnormal but homogeneous. The result of the u test was obtained Zhitung = -1.54 < Ztabel = - 0.73. Referring to the criteria of the u test which states that if the Zhitung < Ztabel then H0 is rejected. So in conclusion, there is an effect of significantly improving student learning outcomes between control and experimental classes. Keywords: PBL, Google, Site, Critical, Thinking.

Abstract

This scientific writing assignment investigates the impact of the PjBL-STEM model on students' creative thinking abilities in the context of the education system in Indonesia. This research focuses on 21st Century learning skills, namely creative, critical and process. One of the learning models recommended by the government is Project Based Learning (PjBL). In order to combine contextual with project assignments and to achieve 21st century skills, it is necessary to implement the PjBL model with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) approach. The methodology of this study involves a systematic literature review of 8 articles published in the last ten years. The findings of the study show that the PjBL-STEM model not only improves students' creative thinking abilities but also deepens their understanding of concepts, increases their active involvement in learning, and improves their ability to apply knowledge in various situations. The study concluded that the PjBL-STEM model is more effective than conventional teaching methods in improving students' creative thinking abilities. Abstract

Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMP kelas IX Kota Padang dalam materi sistem reproduksi dan perkembangbiakkan makhluk hidup. Penelitian kemampuan literasi sains siswa ini dilihat dari dua aspek literasi sains PISA yaitu aspek pengetahuan (konten, prosedural, epistemik), dan aspek kompetensi (menjabarkan fenomena ilmiah, mengevaluasi dan merancang penyelidikan ilmiah, menafsirkan data serta bukti ilmiah). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif pada dau teknik yaitu, teknik cluster sampling untuk menentukan sekolah sesuai wilayah, teknik purposive sampling untuk menentukan kelas sesua pertimbangan sekolah. Instrumen berupa 30 soal dengan berdasarakan framework PISA 2018 dengan dua aspek yang peneliti gunakan. Hasil penelitian ini memperoleh rata-rata kemampuan literasi sain siswa sebesar 66%, tergolong kategori rendah. Rendahnya capaian ini diduga dipengaruhi oleh, kurangnya ketertarikan siswa terhadap pembelajaran materi ini metode pembelajaran yang dipakai, ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana, dan perbedaan kemampuan siswa berdasarkan gender. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan pembelajaran yang sesuai dibutuhkan untuk membuat meningkat literasi sains siswa.

Abstract

Students at SMPN 1 Kecamatan Guguak currently demonstrate low creative thinking skills. This study aims to investigate the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on improving creative thinking skills among seventh-grade students in the topic of Earth and the Solar System. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The population consisted of all seventh-grade students at SMPN 1 Kecamatan Guguak, while the sample included two classes—an experimental class and a control class—selected through purposive sampling. The criteria of this sampling technique are similarities in average class scores, teacher who teaches, and schedule. Primary data were collected from students’ creative thinking skill scores by using test consisted of eight questions. The test refers to Guilford's creative thinking indicators, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results of the analysis showed a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that the implementation of the PBL model significantly improved students’ creative thinking skills.

Abstract

The learning objectives more effectively by using science teaching materials. These materials become more insightful when they incorporate and build upon local wisdom. One way to integrate science is by using a webbed model. Therefore, this study aims to produce a valid and practical webbed type Integrated Science module based on local wisdom with the Pupuik Sarunai theme. This type of research was Research and Development (R&D). This research used the ADDIE development model which had stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. However, due to the limited time and cost of research only conducted up to the stage of development (development) and for implementation and evaluation was not conducted yet. This study used an instrument consisting of a validity test and a practicality questionnaire. The data obtained from the results of the study were calculated using Moment Kappa (k) to analyze the results of the validity and practicality tests of the Integrated Science module. The results of the research that has been done indicate that the practicum module developed has a validity test result of 0.87 with a very valid category. The results of the practicality test of the practicum module by the teacher were very practical with the results of 0.87 and the results of the student practicality test were included in the practical category with the results of 0.77. Therefore, it can be concluded that the webbed type Integrated Science module based on local wisdom with the Pupuik Sarunai theme is valid and practical.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Wordwall on the learning achievement of seventh-grade students at SMPN 12 Padang. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The population consisted of all seventh-grade students, while the sample was selected purposively, comprising classes VII-5 and VII-7. The experimental group received instruction through the PBL model integrated with Wordwall activities, whereas the control group was taught using conventional methods. Data were collected using multiple-choice tests administered as pretests and posttests, and analyzed using Microsoft Excel. The results revealed a significant difference in the average scores between the experimental and control groups. The t-test analysis yielded a calculated t-value of 2.3027, which exceeded the critical t-value of 1.9964, indicating the rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ). These findings suggest that the use of the PBL model assisted by Wordwall significantly enhances students’ learning achievement in seventh-grade science at SMPN 12 Padang.
