Abstract

Efforts to achieve educational goals can’t be separated from the performance of schools in realizing these goals, to achieve this involves many parties and factors that influence it. This study aims to describe the impact of principal’s leadership and teacher’s teaching performance in an effort to increase school effectiveness. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Population are 466 schools, samples of 210 schools were taken by proportionated stratified random sampling technique, and a total of 2,730 respondents consisted of principals, teachers, students, and school committees. The instrument used was a questionnaire, data processing techniques using the Structural Equation Model. The results indicate that principals’ leadership and teachers’ teaching performance positively and significantly influence school effectiveness, which means that school effectiveness directly determined by the presence of effective principal’s leadership and high teacher teaching performance. The principal's leadership as a driver variable is proven to be able to trigger the teaching performance of teachers to increase school effectiveness. The high effectiveness of this school is inseparable from the effective teacher’s teaching performance. Teachers' teaching performance must be continuously improved to improve school effectiveness. This teaching performance can be improved through the principal's leadership role.

Abstract

The phenomenon of code-switching manifests as the practice of seamlessly oscillating between two or more distinct languages or language variations within the confines of a singular exchange, be it a sentence or a conversation. Children reared in environments rich with linguistic diversity frequently acquire the ability to proficiently maneuver between languages as a mechanism to convey meaning to varied interlocutors or within disparate situational contexts. This study presents a qualitative case study of two children from mixed marriage parents, one of whom is an Indonesian native speaker and the other is an English native speaker. The aim of the study is to explore the use of code-switching and its impact on the language development and proficiency of children from mixed-marriage families. Interviews were conducted with the parents, while observations were made of the children's language use at home.  The results suggest that code-switching facilitates the development of children's language skills in different contexts; however, it also hinders their ability to separate and utilize different languages effectively. Furthermore, code-switching enables children to maintain a connection to their cultural heritage and fosters a sense of comfort in multicultural environments.

Abstract

This quantitative investigation delves into the employment of translanguaging strategies within classrooms of an English education study program at an Indonesian public university. As an emerging pedagogical approach in bilingual and multilingual educational settings, translanguaging encompasses the dynamic utilization of students' linguistic repertoires to bolster learning and communication. This study seeks to explore students' attitudes towards the enactment of translanguaging during their presentation and discussion sessions and assess its potential impact on their learning experiences. A purposive sample of 50 second and third-year undergraduate students majoring in English language education study, actively engaged in translanguaging practices during presentations and discussions, was selected for this study. Data collection entailed administering a survey questionnaire comprising Likert scale items formulated to evaluate students' attitudes towards translanguaging. The gathered data were analyzed employing descriptive statistical techniques. The findings reveal that participants exhibit a favorable attitude towards the practice of translanguaging in their presentation and discussion sessions. Students reported that translanguaging amplified their comprehension of subject matter, facilitated communication with peers, and cultivated a more inclusive and diverse learning environment. The study's results suggest that integrating translanguaging strategies within English education study program classrooms can positively impact students' learning experiences and foster a constructive attitude towards linguistic diversity. Further inquiry is recommended to probe the enduring effects of translanguaging practices on students' language competence and scholastic achievements, in addition to examining potential impediments and obstacles to implementing translanguaging across various educational contexts.

Abstract

Demam tifoid (DT) adalah penyakit akut pada saluran pencernaan yang disebabkan oleh Salmonella typhi, dengan gejala sakit kepala, batuk kering, sakit tenggorokan, hepatomegali, splenomegali, dan bradikardi sering terjadi. Demam tifoid masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di dunia terutama pada negara berkembang termasuk Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor – faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian demam tifoid pada anak di beberapa lokasi di wilayah Indonesia periode tahun 2013 sampai dengan tahun 2020. penelitian ini mensintesis hasil yang diperoleh sembilan artikel penelitian ilmiah dengan desain penelitian case control. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian demam tifoid pada anak di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia yaitu kebiasaan jajan, personal hygiene, food hygiene ibu, jamban keluarga, dan persediaan air bersih yang secara statistik bermakna dengan p value <0.05. Sedangkan tidak terdapat hubungan bermakna dengan p value >0.05 antara status gizi dan demam tifoid pada anak di beberapa lokasi di wilayah Indonesia. Typhoid fever (DT) is an acute disease of the gastrointestinal tract caused by Salmonella typhi, with symptoms of headache, dry cough, sore throat, hepatomegaly, splenomegaly, and bradycardia frequently. Typhoid fever is still a health problem in the world, especially in developing countries including Indonesia. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of typhoid fever in children in several locations in Indonesia for the period from 2013 to 2020. This study synthesized the results obtained by nine scientific research articles with a case-control research design. There are several factors related to the incidence of typhoid fever in children in several regions in Indonesia, namely snack habits, personal hygiene, maternal food hygiene, family latrines, and clean water supplies which were statistically significant with p value <0.05. Meanwhile, there was no significant relationship with p value > 0.05 between nutritional status and typhoid fever in children in several locations in Indonesia.

Abstract

The character development of young people is mandated by law. One of the characteristics that is missing is a responsibility that is now lacking in the current generation of young people. The provision of tasks and learning motivation is one solution. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of assignment and learning motivation on the responsibility of students in the economic education study program. This research is a survey research type with quantitative methods and a correlational design. The subjects of this study were 54 students in the economic education study program who were randomly chosen. The data collection technique is a questionnaire, while the data analysis technique is a partial t test and a simultaneous F test. The results stated that giving partial assignments to students greatly affected their responsibilities in life by 57.9%, but motivating student learning did not affect them partially, only 0.8%. The assignment and motivation of students to study simultaneously still affect their responsibilities by 58.7%.   Keywords:  Assignment, Learning motivation, Responsibility.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat seberapa besar pengaruh return on assets, debt to equity ratio, price earning ratio secara simultan dan parsial terhadap return saham pada perusahaan sub sektor transportasi dan logistik dan variabel-variabel yang mempengaruhi return saham. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan yang terdaftar pada sub sektor transportasi dan logistic di BEI yaitu sebanyak 30 perusahaan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dokumentasi . Sampel yang ditetapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 17 perusahaan dengan kriteria perusahaan yang terdaftar dalam 3 tahun pengamatan dengan laporan keuangan lengkap dan Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan SPSS 24.00 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan/uji F, return on assets, uji debt to equity ratio dan price earning ratio berpengaruh signifikan terhadap return saham dengan nilai sig 0,000 dan secara parsial/uji t masing-masing variabel berpengaruh signifikan terhadap return saham, dengan nilai signifikansi return on assets yaitu 0,031, debt to equity ratio yaitu 0,000 dan price earning ratio yaitu 0,000 sedangkan koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 85,6%

Abstract

Organisasi Palang Merah Remaja adalah organisasi yang terdiri dari remaja dengan rasa kepedulian tinggi terhadap sesama, tanpa memandang perbedaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Enam siswa anggota Palang Merah Remaja menjadi subjek wawancara, dengan satu laki-laki dan lima perempuan. Kegiatan Jumbara memiliki kelebihan dalam mengembangkan karakter sosial peserta didik, seperti keterampilan dalam pertolongan, pengalaman, pengembangan kreativitas, dan inovasi. Kegiatan Jumbara dalam organisasi ini memberikan kesempatan bagi individu untuk mengembangkan simpati dan empati terhadap orang lain melalui berbagai kegiatan yang meningkatkan karakter sosial mereka. Penelitian ini membahas peran kegiatan Jumbara dalam menanamkan sikap kepedulian sosial pada remaja. Kegiatan Jumbara di Kota Medan menjadi salah satu wadah untuk mengembangkan sikap kepedulian sosial melalui berbagai kegiatan sosial dan kesehatan. Kegiatan Jumbara memiliki tujuan membantu siswa mengembangkan tingkat kepedulian sosial yang tinggi dalam konteks keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen usaha agroindustri telur asin di Kecamatan Sandubaya Kota Mataram, mengetahui pendapatan pengusaha agroindustri telur asin di Kecamatan Sandubaya Kota Mataram, mengetahui besar margin pemasaran agroindustri telur asin di Kecamatan Sandubaya Kota Mataram dan menginventarisir alasan pengusaha telur asin di Kecamatan Sandubaya Kota Mataram pasif beroperasi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif. Unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah agroindustri telur asin di Kecamatan Sandubaya Kota Mataram. Penentuan daerah sampel menggunakan purposive sampling yaitu Kecamatan Sandubaya Kota Mataram dengan pertimbangan bahwa kecamatan tersebut merupakan kecamatan dengan populasi pengusaha agroindustry tertinggi di Kota Mataram. Jumlah responden pada penelitian ini sebanyak 8 responden yang ditentukan secara sensus. Jenis data yang digunakan yaitu data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis manajemen usaha, pendapatan, efisiensi pemasaran, dan menginventarisir alasan pengusaha pasif beroperasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Manajemen pada produksi agroindustri telur asin tidak menerapkan unsur-unsur manajemen mulai dari perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pengawasan dan evaluasi pada hari-hari biasa; (2) Pendapatan pada agroindustri telur asin sebesar Rp. 213.208 per proses atau Rp 1.921.383 per bulan.; (3) Pemasaran telur asin di Kecamatan Sandubaya Kota Mataram termasuk efisien, pada saluran pemasaran I memiliki margin pemasaran sebesar Rp. 636 ditingkat pedagang pengumpul, Rp. 483 ditingkat pedagang pengecer, dengan share harga sebesar 74 % dengan distribusi keuntungan 0,6 yaitu adil atau merata, pada saluran pemasaran II memiliki margin pemasaran sebesar Rp. 483, share harga sebesar 77 % dan pada saluran pemasaran III memiliki share harga sebesar 100 %; (4) Alasan yang membuat beberapa pengusaha agroindustri telur asin di Kecamatan Sandubaya Kota Mataram pasif dan memiliki tingkat produksi rendah terdiri dari kelangkaan bahan baku yang menyebabkan pendapatan rendah, persaingan produk serupa, dan gagap teknologi yang berimbas pada cakupan pemasaran yang sempit. Sedangkan margin pemasaran tidak berpengaruh terhadap pasifnya usaha agroindustri telur asin dikarenakan margin pemasaran rendah dan rantai pemasaran yang pendek.

Abstract

In the Indonesian legal system, the corporate criminal liability model is a concept that continues to develop to address corporate activities that have the potential to harm society and the state. This model includes a direct approach (direct responsibility) which places corporations as legal subjects who can determine criminal sanctions for their own actions, as well as an indirect approach (vicarious responsibility) which assigns corporate criminal responsibility to the actions of individuals who represent or act in the interests of the corporation. The implementation of corporate criminal liability in Indonesia is regulated in various sectoral laws, such as Law no. 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management, Law no. 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes, and Law no. 8 of 2010 concerning Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering. However, the implementation of corporate criminal responsibility still faces various challenges, including evidentiary problems, limitations in law enforcement, and varying legal interpretations among law enforcement officials. Therefore, continued efforts are needed to strengthen the legal framework and increase law enforcement capacity to ensure that corporations can bear responsibility for criminal acts committed.

Abstract

Educational administration is an important field in the organization of effective and efficient education. This journal aims to discuss the basic concepts of educational administration, ranging from its definition, goals, functions, principles, to its scope. This journal discusses that educational administration is the process of managing educational resources to achieve educational goals. The main goal of educational administration is to improve the quality of education and produce quality graduates. The functions of educational administration include planning, organizing, directing, and supervising. The principles of educational administration that must be considered in its implementation are democratic, efficient, effective, and sustainable. The scope of educational administration includes personnel administration, curriculum administration, financial administration, facilities and infrastructure administration, student administration, and teaching and learning administration.
