Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keterlaksanaan model PBL berbantuan media audiovisual, untuk mengetahui pengaruh dalam pelaksanaan model PBL berbantuan media audiovisual, dan untuk mengetahui respon belajar siswa dalam pelaksanaan model PBL berbantuan media audiovisual di kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VII dan sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII 9 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII 10 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model PBL berbantuan media audiovisual, angket respon siswa dan soal tes keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan SPSS 26 for Windows. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, keterlaksanaan model PBL berbantuan media audiovisual berjalan sangat baik dengan presentase 100%. Hasil uji hipotesis yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji Mann Whitney adalah sig. 0,000< 0,05 maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Respon siswa terhadap angket yang diberikan sebanyak 88,80% siswa menjawab “ya” dan 11,20% siswa menjawab “tidak”. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PBL dengan media audiovisual memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VII SMP N 13 Padang.

Abstract

One of the technological innovations that can be used is WEB 3D-based learning media, which combines visual elements and text in a more real way. The following research intends to develop a WEB-Based 3D Learning Media equipped with a QR Code as a support for Solar System materials for grade VII junior high school students. This media is designed to be valid, practical, and effective in improving student understanding. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model approach, which includes four main stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instruments include validation questionnaires, practicality questionnaires, and effectiveness questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using the Likert scale and the Guttman scale to assess the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed learning media. The results of the 3D media validity test obtained a very valid category with an average score of 85%. The results of the practical test on the use of 3D media from teachers and students are in the very practical category with a teacher response questionnaire score of 93% and student responses of 94%. The effectiveness of the use of 3D media on students' learning interests is very effective with a student response questionnaire score of 91%. Thus, the following research has produced a WEB-based 3D science learning media on Solar System material for grade VII junior high school that is valid, practical, effective and ready to be disseminated.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan guna menganalisis kendala kerjasama siswa dalam diskusi pembelajaran IPA di SMPN 4 Koto XI Tarusan, Pesisir Selatan. Metode penelitian yang dipakai guna deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data Cluster Random Sampling, melibatkan siswa kelas VII dan VIII. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket yang meliputi 20 butir pernyataan. Temuan studi membuktikan adanya pengaruh gender terhadap kendala kerjasama siswa dengan nilai statistik 0,127. Sebanyak 75% siswa mengalami kendala kerjasama dalam kategori kuat, 12,5% pada kategori sedang, dan 12,5% dalam kategori sangat kuat. Siswa laki-laki cenderung mengalami kesulitan lebih besar dalam bekerjasama dibandingkan siswa perempuan. Kendala utama yang dihadapi meliputi kesulitan menerima dan menghargai pendapat teman, mengatur emosi, serta mengikuti aturan diskusi. Penelitian ini menekankan betapa pentingnya menciptakan metode pengajaran yang efisien untuk meningkatkan kapasitas siswa dalam kerja sama tim saat mempelajari sains, terutama dalam mengatasi perbedaan gender dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari dari permasalahan rendahnya capaian prestasi belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPA, yang dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya keterlibatan aktif peserta didik serta terbatasnya penggunaan media yang menyajikan materi secara menarik serta memungkinkan terjadinya komunikasi aktif antara peserta didik dan materi ajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT yang dikombinasikan dengan media flash card terhadap capaian hasil belajar peserta didik pada kelas VII. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu melalui desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, serta angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model TGT berbantuan media flash card berjalan sangat optimal, memperoleh tanggapan positif dari peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis hipotesis yaitu uji-t, didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0,004 < 0,05, yang menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran TGT berbantuan media flash card terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran ini terbukti efektif dalam peningkatan capaian hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to develop collaborative skills and learning outcomes of junior high school students in grade VII tested using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning paradigm assisted by snakes and ladders media. This research is a quantitative research, using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. All seventh-grade students enrolled in the 2024–2025 academic year at UNP Laboratory Development Junior High School became the study population. Sampling used a purposive sampling approach. Classes VII A and C each served as the control and experimental groups in this study. The instruments in the study were a collaborative skills questionnaire and a learning outcome test. Data were analysed descriptively quantitatively. From the results of the hypothesis test for the collaborative skills posttest in the self-assessment assessment, the t-count (2.21) was obtained > t-table (2.00). Meanwhile, in the peer assessment assessment, the t-count (2.19) was obtained > t-table (2.00). In addition, according to the results of the hypothesis test for the learning outcome posttest, it showed that t-count (2.13) > t-table (2.00), showing that the two groups, experimental and control, differed significantly from each other. The conclusion is that student learning outcomes and collaborative skills in science are positively influenced by the TGT model when the snakes and ladders game is used as an aid

Abstract

Observations and interviews with science teachers at SMPN 7 Padang revealed that learning that trains students' critical thinking skills has not been implemented optimally. When students gave answers or asked questions related to the material in science learning, they were still hesitant or limited to understand, also scientific attitude towards science learning. The literature states that Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is able to train students' critical thinking skills. PBL shows effective approach to increase students’ potential and develop students’ critical thinking skills. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on the Critical Thinking Skills of Grade VIII Students at SMP Negeri 7 Padang. This quantitative study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. PBL Model as the independent variable in this study was employed to experimental class, while dependent variable was students’ critical thinking skills tested in both experimental and control class. The measurement of students’ critical thinking skills consisted of five indicators such as elementary clarification, basic support, inference, advance clarification, and strategy and tactics. The results showed a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills in the experimental group compared to the control group (p<0.05). It can be concluded that Problem Based Learning model significantly improve students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research was motivated by teacher-centered learning, which leads to students not actively participating in the learning process and it affects their learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of applying the Discovery Learning model on student learning outcomes in science subjects for Grade VII students in junior high school. This study employed a quasi-experimental method, using a non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with class VII-3 assigned as the control group using a conventional learning model, and class VII-4 as the experimental group which used the Discovery Learning model assisted by video. The research instrument was a multiple-choice written test. The data collected were analyzed using a normality test, a homogeneity test, and a hypothesis test. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, there was a significant difference in the average scores between the control and experimental classes. This is evidenced by the t-test results, where tcount=2.776 > ttable=2.004. Therefore, H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of Discovery Learning model assisted by video has a significant effect on students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model Game Based Learning (GBL) berbantuan Wordwall terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas VII di MTsN 3 Kota Padang. Metode yang digunakan ialah quasi experiment dengan rancangan Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu kelas VII.5 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang memperoleh perlakuan menggunakan model GBL berbantuan wordwall dan kelas VII.7 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diajar melalui metode ceramah. Masing-masing kelas berjumlah 32 peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes hasil belajar (pretest dan posttest), lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, serta angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas. Nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen mencapai 82,46, sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 69,44. Berdasarkan uji-t, diperoleh nilai thitung 4,378 > ttabel 1,998 sehingga H? ditolak dan Ha diterima. Proses pembelajaran dengan model GBL berbantuan wordwall menunjukkan keterlaksanaan yang sangat baik dengan rata-rata di atas 96%. Respon peserta didik juga tergolong sangat positif, seluruh peserta didik menyatakan pembelajaran menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan membantu memahami materi, 97% merasa lebih aktif dan bersemangat, sementara hanya sebagian kecil (3%) yang menilai suasana kelas menjadi lebih ramai. Dengan demikian, model GBL berbantuan wordwall terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

The results of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) show that the science literacy of students in Indonesia is still below the international average. A similar condition is also seen in the results of the Computer-Based National Assessment (ANBK) for eighth-grade students, which shows that science literacy skills have not been measured comprehensively. This study aims to determine the effect of the Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create (RADEC) learning model on the science literacy competence of eighth-grade students. This study is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample was determined using purposive sampling, involving one experimental class and one control class. The research instrument consisted of a 22-item multiple-choice science literacy test. Both groups were given pre-tests and post-tests to measure improvements in science literacy competence. The data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively, with the results showing that Ha was accepted and H₀ was rejected. The t-test value showed that tcount 3.47 ≥ ttable 2.00, which was reinforced by the N-gain test results. These findings indicate a significant difference between the two groups, so it can be concluded that the application of the RADEC model has a positive effect on improving students' science literacy competency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPA peserta didik kelas VIII.5 SMP Negeri 33 Padang melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning yang didukung media interaktif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan subjek sebanyak 32 peserta didik. Data diperoleh melalui angket dan observasi. Pada siklus pertama, sebanyak 50% peserta didik memiliki motivasi sedang, sementara 25% lainnya termasuk kategori tinggi dan rendah. Setelah diterapkan Problem Based Learning berbantuan media interaktif pada siklus kedua, terjadi peningkatan motivasi secara signifikan: 69% peserta didik pada kategori tinggi dan 31% pada kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning yang dipadukan dengan media interaktif mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPA melalui keterlibatan aktif peserta didik, pembelajaran yang menarik, serta pengalaman belajar yang relevan dan bermakna.
