Abstract

In recent years divorce has become a popular term in the ears of society. This is because the divorce rate is increasing every day. Every day, no less than five people change their status to widows or widowers. Madura is the largest contributor to divorce rates in East Java, especially in Pamekasan and Sampang. The number of divorces per year in the two regions reached more than a thousand. Interestingly, of the thousands of divorces were dominated by the number of divorce. The article results of this study describe the phenomenon of increasing divorce rates initiated by the wife (divorce) in the two regions from year to year, and describe in depth the causes. With a qualitative-descriptive-phenomenological approach, this article succeeded in showing that in the last three years the divorce rate in Madura has been increasing and more dominated by the divorce model. The causes are varied, both internal and external factors in the household, such as education and the economy, so that an increase in the level of education and the economy must be done to reduce divorce rates.[Beberapa tahun belakangan ini perceraian menjadi istilah yang populer di telinga masyarakat.

Abstract

Inclusive education is education that allows learners with mental or physical disabilities the equal opportunity to learn alongside peers their age in regular schools. Inclusive education tries to minimize negative perceptions toward children with disabilities. A special guidance teacher's role is significant in maximizing children's academic and non-academic development. The purpose of this study is to determine how to optimize the role and responsibilities of special guidance teachers in inclusion schools, to ascertain the impact that the absence of special guidance teachers has on inclusion schools, and to ascertain the school's efforts to overcome the effects of the unavailability of special guidance teachers in inclusion schools. The descriptive qualitative method was used in this study. The study gathered data from principals, special guidance teachers, and classroom teachers. Interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires are used to collect data. The findings of this study indicate that special guidance teachers (GPK) continue to exercise authority in the same way that other teachers do, namely by standing in the classroom and instructing children with special needs. Special guidance teachers educate in the same way as classroom teachers, and some even shift to classroom teaching as a result of the school's teacher shortage. The impact on schools caused by the lack of special guidance teachers in inclusion education is the inability to meet the needs of ABK (children with special needs), especially special needs programs; ABK (children with special needs) is seen as a disruptor in the smooth implementation of educational programs; classroom teachers are unable to accommodate the needs of ABK in the classroom; school policy to accept both regular students and ABK (children with special needs) with mild level disabilities. While ABK with a moderate to severe level of resistance is directed at Special Needs Schools (SLB). To address the lack of GPK, efforts are undertaken to appoint honoree GPK and to collaborate with the nearest SLB to bring in visiting teachers. Abstract

Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School has long been known as an Islamic educational institution that is strong in maintaining the tradition of classical Islamic knowledge. However, in this modern era, the challenges of globalization, digitalization, and the need for 21st-century competencies force Islamic boarding schools to adapt without losing their identity. This study examines how Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School develops its curriculum by integrating Islamic traditions with educational innovation. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with Islamic boarding school caretakers, teachers, and students and analysis of curriculum documents. The study results show that the Islamic boarding school has succeeded in combining tradition and innovation by applying digital technology in learning, strengthening general subjects, and preserving the study of yellow books. This collaboration creates an education system that maintains Islamic values and prepares students to face the challenges of the modern world. Further research can be conducted to explore the long-term impact of this integration on the academic and spiritual success of students after graduating from the Islamic boarding school as an effort to prepare alums as agents of change who are responsible for creating welfare in society.

Abstract

This research explores the role of visionary kyai leadership in integrating Islamic traditions with modernity at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid, Probolinggo, East Java. This tension often creates a dichotomy: on one side, pesantren that exclusively preserve traditions with little adaptation, and on the other side, pesantren that become overly modernized to the extent of diluting their traditional identity. The study aims to analyze how visionary leadership preserves Islamic traditions while simultaneously adopting innovations to strengthen the quality and competitiveness of Islamic education. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed with Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The findings reveal that Islamic traditions such as the study of classical texts, religious rituals, and moral values remain the pesantren’s foundation, while modern practices like curriculum reform, digitalization, and management innovation are selectively adopted under visionary leadership. The integration of tradition and modernity emerges not as a contradiction but as a synergy, creating an educational model that is both authentic and adaptive. The implications suggest that visionary kyai leadership provides a strategic framework for other Islamic educational institutions to maintain cultural authenticity while effectively addressing contemporary challenges.

Abstract

This study focuses on the Islamic parenting model as a strategy for character formation among students at Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School, aiming to reveal how the habituation of worship, the internalization of the santri trilogy, and social regulation contribute to shaping discipline, responsibility, and moral awareness amidst the challenges of the digital era. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method, conducted at Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School, KH. Zaini Mun’im Street, Karanganyar, Paiton, Probolinggo, East Java, in August 2025. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with administrators, teachers, and students, complemented by field observations and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that the Islamic parenting model functions not only as a set of rules but also as an integral strategy that fosters spiritual discipline, social solidarity, and students’ self-control. The santri trilogy proved to be a foundational value that strengthens character development through habituation and role modeling, while the regulation of gadget use serves as an adaptive solution to the challenges of digitalization. This study highlights that Islamic Boarding School serve as effective social laboratories in nurturing the moral consciousness of younger generations. The implication is that the Islamic parenting model can be developed as an alternative framework for character education that is relevant to Islamic educational institutions in addressing the moral crisis in the era of globalization.
