Abstract

Background: Malocclusion is one of the important issues in the field of dental health, especially in Indonesia. The results of Riskesdas 2013 in South Sulawesi showed number of dental-mouth problems in the age group of 10-14 years was 36.9% and 15-24 years was 37.4%, with the population having abnormal dental function as much as 3.26%, and 60% received orthodontic treatment, especially in Barru District about 40%. This situation is the base of researchers to conduct research on the relationship between orthodontic treatment needs and the quality of life of high school students in Barru District. Objective: To find out the relationship between orthodontic treatment needs and quality of life in adolescent high school students in Barru District. Method : An observation alanalytic study with across-sectional design using subjects was high school students in Barru District aged 15-17 years with the sampling technique was purposive random sampling of 200 students. An examination of the need for orthodontic treatment was carried out using an IOTN index and an assessment of quality of life using the OHIP-14 index. Results: This study shows that the level of orthodontic treatment need has a significant relationship based on the Spearman IOTN-DHC correlation analysis (p<0.05), while the IOTN-AC shows no significant relationship between care needs and quality of life (p>0.005). Conclusion: The need for orthodontic treatment has a significant relationship with adolescent quality of life in a positive correlation (r=0.490) which means that the higher the value of IOTN-DHC, the higher the person's discomfort.

Abstract

أسئلة البحث في هذا البحث هي: أ). ما نتيجة استيعاب المفردات لدى الطلاب في الفصل الضابطي؟. ب). ما نتيجة استيعاب المفردات لدى الطلاب في الفصل التجريبي؟. ج). هل هناك تأثير وسيلة الصورة على استيعاب المفردات في الصف الأول للمرحلة المتوسطة بمعهد الإمام النووي بجيبينونج بوغور؟ والمنهج البحث المستخدم في هذا البحث هو البحث الميدان الكمي بالنوع التجريبي، وبالطريقة الإحصائية. والنتيجة من هذا البحث هي وجد الباحث تأثير باستخدام وسيلة الصورة على استيعاب المفردات. من هذا البحث وجد الباحث النتيجة بعد أن قام به الباحث بالاختبار البعدي بين فصلين: في الفصل التجريبي بالمعدل (89،1) والفصل الضابطي بالمعدل (70،8). فوجد الباحث نتيجة باختبار-ت (To) = 2,36 أكبر من النتيجة الجدول (Tt) في الدرجة 5%= 1,99. فلذلك الفرضية التبادلية (Ha) مقبولة والفرضية العدمية (Ho) مردودة. ولذلك، وجد الباحث فرق بين فصلين في استيعاب المفردات والخلاصة، أن استخدام وسيلة يؤثر استيعاب المفردات لدى التلامذ في الصف الأول للمرحلة المتوسطة بمعهد الإمام النووي بجيبينونج بوغور

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menilai dampak gaya belajar terhadap pencapaian hasil belajar siswa di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 04 Sungai Layang Landak. Adapun metode yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, sementara analisis data melibatkan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa terdapat tiga jenis gaya belajar yang ditemukan, yaitu visual, audio, dan kinestetik. Siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar visual cenderung lebih cepat memahami materi pelajaran ketika disajikan dalam bentuk gambar, baik yang bergerak maupun tidak. Siswa dengan gaya belajar audio menunjukkan kemampuan yang lebih baik dalam memahami materi pelajaran jika disajikan dengan media berirama, musik, dan intonasi. Di sisi lain, siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar kinestetik cenderung lebih cepat memahami materi ketika diperagakan, dan gaya ini juga terkait dengan hasil belajar yang lebih baik.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on the basic competency of geographical conditions and ocean exploration through the guided inquiry learning model in Grade VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Peusangan. Using a two-cycle Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, each cycle involved planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations of teacher and student activities, and documentation. Results showed an increase in learning mastery from 70% in Cycle I to 90% in Cycle II. Teacher activity rose from 81.11% to 91.11%, while student activity increased from 75.56% to 86.67%. The guided inquiry model effectively enhanced learning outcomes, encouraged critical thinking, and increased student engagement and interest in the learning process.

Abstract

Education is a guide in the growth of children, guiding all of their natural abilities so that they, as human beings and members of society, can achieve the highest possible level of safety and happiness. During adolescence, humans cannot be called adults, but they cannot be called children either. Adolescence is a transitional period from childhood to adulthood, marked by various physical, cognitive, and psychosocial changes. Early marriage is a marriage contract conducted at an age below the legal requirement. Law No. 16 of 2019 amending Law No. 1 of 1974 on marriage states that marriage is only permitted if both the man and woman have reached the age of 19. This socialization activity aims to provide students with an understanding of the importance of education and the negative impacts of marriage conducted under the legal age. This outreach program uses lecture, discussion, and question-and-answer methods. Participants in this socialization program were approximately 50 students from grades IX MTS and XII MA, who gathered in one room to actively participate in the socialization. Based on the results of this socialization session, some students were less active in discussions but still followed the event attentively. Meanwhile, some students actively participated both in discussions and in answering questions from the presenter. The students understood the importance of education, knew the legal age for marriage, and were aware of the negative consequences of marrying underage.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of geography teachers, the obstacles they face, and the solutions for improving students' learning motivation. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with the research subjects including geography teachers as the primary respondents, while the school principal and students in class X Merdeka B are designated as supporting informants. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and document studies, and the validity of the data was tested for authenticity using source and technique triangulation. Subsequently, the data was analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings confirm that geography teachers play an important role in motivating students, including by: (1) activating student participation through questions and answers about the material, (2) creating a conducive classroom environment, (3) utilizing various teaching methods and media, (4) providing rewards in the form of praise or grades, and (5) involving students in group work. The obstacle teachers face is the difference in students' ability to understand the lesson. As for the solution implemented by the teacher, it is through outdoor learning activities (field practice). Abstract

The purposes of this study are: 1) To analyze the process of implementing operational assistance in handling high-intensity security disturbances in Papua by Battalion B Pelopor Brimob Parepare, and 2) To analyze the factors that hinder the implementation of operational assistance in handling high-intensity security disturbances in Papua by Battalion B Pelopor Brimob Parepare. This type of research is empirical legal qualitative research. To obtain the data and information needed, the researcher chose the research location at Battalion B Pelopor Brimob Pare-pare which is located on Jl. Chalik No.3, Sumpang Minangae, Kec. Bacukiki Bar.Pare-pare City. The type of data used in this study was qualitative data consisting of primary data and secondary data. The conclusions of this study are 1) The process of implementing operational assistance by Battalion B Pelopor Brimob Parepare in handling high-intensity security disturbances in Papua were by: Identifying and analyzing the types of high-intensity security disturbances that occurred in Papua, Formulating appropriate operational strategies and plans to provide assistance in handling these security disturbances, Coordinating and mobilizing personnel and resources needed to carry out operations in the field, Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of actions taken in handling security disturbances, and Making adjustments and improvements to personnel capabilities and operational readiness on an ongoing basis. 2) Factors that hinder the implementation of operational assistance in handling high-intensity security disturbances in Papua by Battalion B Pelopor Brimob Parepare were: difficulty in coordinating with leaders of conflicting groups, lack of troops who will be on duty in Papua, and punishments that have not provided a deterrent effect.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi budaya sekolah dalam pembentukan karakter siswa di SMAN 1 Peusangan Selatan. Fokus penelitian mencakup budaya religius, budaya daerah, budaya Adiwiyata, dan budaya literasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara terhadap tiga informan utama.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya sekolah yang diterapkan secara konsisten mampu membentuk karakter siswa yang religius, disiplin, peduli lingkungan, cinta budaya lokal, serta memiliki kemampuan literasi dan berpikir kritis. Implementasi budaya dilakukan melalui berbagai kegiatan rutin seperti pembiasaan ibadah, pelestarian lingkungan, pengenalan budaya daerah, dan kebiasaan membaca.Kesimpulannya, budaya sekolah yang terintegrasi berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter siswa secara holistic.
