Abstract

Creative thinking required to be facilitated to students in order they are ready to face the challenge in the future which will be more complicated. The student need to motivated to think divergently, including aspects of originality (authentic, uniqueness idea), fluency (continuity of expressing idea), flexibility (capability to expressing different idea), and elaboration (giving explanation toward created idea). This research aimed to develop integrated science learning materials with scientific approach which feseable to facilitate creative thinking skill of grad VII junior high school. This research is development research, that is developing integrated science learning materials with subject Global Warming including (Syllabus, Lesson Plan, Student Work Sheet, Student Text Book, and creative thinking capability test), by using 4D development model. Target of this research is learning instrument which tested on 35 graders VII junior high school with plan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative resulting: (a) validation of learning instrument with category valid and very valid; (b) learning realization with good category; (c) positive student response; (d) student creative thinking capability is trained (posttest score 71 which meant creative with N-Gain 0.78). The indicators of creative thinking skill wich get the most significant increase are fluency and flexibility. Elaboration and originality are indicators which have a low increasing score between the pre test and post test. It?s because the student mostly are not able to connect their own concept to make the idea clearer and they only focus on the ideas in the book, therefore almost all of their ideas are just the same. The conclusion of this research is that the integrated science learning instrument with subject of Global Warming is proper to be used to facilitate creative thinking skill. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif perlu dilatihkan kepada siswa agar mereka siap menghadapi tantangan pada masa mendatang yang semakin sulit. Siswa perlu didorong untuk berpikir divergen, yang mencakup aspek originality (keaslian, keunikan ide), fluency (kelancaran dalam mengungkapkan ide), flexibility (kemampuan mengungkapkan ide yang berbeda), dan elaboration (pemberian detail dan penjelasan pada ide yang dibuat). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terintegrasi dengan pendekatan saintifik yang layak untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP kelas VII. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan, yakni mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terintegrasi materi Pemanasan Global meliputi (silabus, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), Buku ajar Siswa (BAS), serta tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif), dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D. Sasaran penelitian adalah perangkat pembelajaran yang diuji cobakan pada 35 siswa SMP kelas VII dengan rancangan One-Group Pre test-Post test Design. Analisis data secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan hasil: (a) Validasi perangkat pembelajaran dengan kategori valid dan sangat valid; (b) Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan kategori baik; (c) Respon siswa positif; (d) Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa secara umum terlatih (skor post test 71 yang berarti siswa mencapai kriteria kreatif dengan N-gain 0,78). Indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang mengalami peningkatan paling signifikan antara pre test dan post test adalah aspek kelancaran (fluency) dan fleksibilitas (flexibility). Indikator elaborasi (elaboration) dan keaslian (originality) merupakan indikator yang memiliki peningkatan rendah antara pre test dan pos test, karena masih banyak siswa yang belum bisa menghubungkan konsep yang mereka miliki untuk memperjelas ide dan siswa terpaku oleh beberapa hal yang dijelaskan di buku siswa mengenai cara mengatasi permasalahan dalam materi pemanasan global, sehingga ide mereka banyak yang sama. Simpulan penelitian ini, bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA terintegrasi materi Pemanasan Global layak digunakan untuk melatihkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif.

Abstract

Tempe merupakan produk hasil fermentasi kedelai yang kaya manfaat. Vitamin B, protein, lemak, mineral, dan karbohidrat dalam tempe setara dengan kandungan nutrisi dalam daging sapi. Tempe dibuat dengan melakukan proses fermentasi yang melibatkan jamur (kapang) Rhizopus sp. pada substrat kedelai. Kedelai edamame (Glycin max (L) Merrill) merupakan jenis kedelai yang mempunyai aroma kacang-kacangan yang kuat, biji yang lebih besar, tekstur lebih lembut, dan memiliki rasa yang lebih manis jika dibandingkan dengan jenis kedelai kuning. Edamame dipilih dalam penelitian ini karena jumlah produksinya yang melimpah di Kabupaten Jember, sehingga mudah dalam mendapat bahan baku. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan pembelajaran biotechnopreneurship melalui praktek pembuatan tempe berbahan edamame. Pembelajaran berbasis bioentrepreneurship memuat inovasi pengolahan makanan melalui kegiatan praktikum bioteknologi konvensional yang berbasis kewirausahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan minat berwirausaha mahasiswa. Setelah kedelai edamame mengalami proses fermentasi dalam waktu 24 jam, maka didapatkan hasil tempe edamame  dengan  bentuk dan tekstur yang padat, memiliki aroma khas tempe, berwarna keputihan dan memiliki rasa khas tempe dengan sedikit rasa manis. Pembelajaran berbasis biotechnopreneurship melalui pembuatan tempe edamame dapat dimplementasikan dengan baik. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan mahasiswa yang memiliki minat berwirausaha tinggi ada 14 orang, yakni dari rentang  skor 71,4% hingga 89,2%. Pembelajaran bioteknologi yang dihubungkan dengan kewirausahaan (enterpreneurship) membuat siswa memahami konsep bioteknologi secara bermakna yakni melalui praktek membuat tempe edamame. Minat berwirausaha mereka juga tumbuh karena mereka membuat ide usaha sesuai dengan konsep bioteknologi yang telah mereka pahami.

Abstract

Wordwall adalah sebuah media game yang ada di website dan menarik. Media ini dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran, sumber belajar siswa, dan dapat melatih kemampuan berpikir peserta didik, sehingga peserta didik merasa senang dan tidak merasa bosan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berupa wordwall. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan di SMPT Madinatul Ulum Cangkring, Jenggawah dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas VIII B yang berjumlah 43 siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2024. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat dan hasil belajar pada siswa. Peningkatan hasil dan minat belajar siswa, tampak pada nilai ketuntasan minat belajar siswa tahap pra siklus yaitu 50,29%, dan nilai ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar siswa tahap para siklus sebesar 34,88%,  nilai ini sangat jauh dari nilai ketuntasan klasikal sekolah yang sudah ditetapkan yaitu 75%. Setelah penggunaan media pembelajaran berupa wordwall pada siklus satu, ketuntasan minat belajar siswa meningkat menjadi 76,27% begitu pula hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan menjadi 76,74%. Salah satu sebab meningkatnya minat dan hasil belajar siswa karena tampilan yang disediakan oleh wordwall menarik dan tidak monoton, sehingga membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik dan membuat siswa antusias dan semangat selama pembelajaran berlangsung.

Abstract

Pada mata kuliah Media Pembelajaran Berbasis ICT, mahasiswa dituntut kreatif untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran Biologi berbasis digital yang tepat guna, mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa, mudah digunakan, serta tidak memakan waktu lama saat proses pembuatannya. Penggunaan AI dalam membuat media pembelajaran Biologi memberikan akses yang cepat dalam pemberian informasi. Penggunaan AI juga sangat relevan untuk mempermudah pemahaman konsep-konsep abstrak dalam Biologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan respon 10 orang mahasiswa pada prodi Pendidikan Biologi UNIPAR Jember setelah dilakukan pembelajaran menggunakan media berbasis AI. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Secara keseluruhan, hasil survei ini menunjukkan respon yang sangat positif terhadap penggunaan media presentasi berbasis AI. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil angket respon mahasiswa memenuhi kriteria baik (68%-83,9%) dan sangat baik (84%-100%),yakni dilihat dari segi desain, materi, interaksi, dan cara penyampaian. Mayoritas peserta merasa tertarik dan melihat sesuatu yang baru dalam media ini, dengan sebagian besar merasa mudah untuk memahaminya. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan 10 orang mahasiswa, seluruhnya menunjukkan pilihan yang kuat untuk menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis AI kelak ketika mereka menjadi guru. Mereka berpendapat bahwa AI untuk membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan interaktif. Dari segi efisiensi, beberapa mahasiswa mengungkapkan bahwa penggunaan media berbasis AI dapat membantu meningkatkan efektivitas pengajaran dengan cara yang signifikan.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an E-Booklet utilizing endophytic fungi isolated from the roots of Phalaenopsis amabilis to improve learning outcomes of Kingdom Fungi material for class X MA Zainul Bahar students, Bondowoso. The research method used is the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The isolation results show a diversity of endophytic fungi that are potentially authentic learning resources. This e-booklet is organized in an interactive and contextual manner, integrating isolation result data into teaching materials that are in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum. The novelty of this research lies in the utilization of endophytic fungi from the roots of P. amabilis as a source of local content that has not been widely explored in learning media. In addition, the use of the E-Booklet format based on original research data provides added value in the form of a scientific approach directly from the field, which is not yet available in conventional learning resources. This study involved 27 grade X students using the one-group pretest-posttest design method and an expert validation test. Validation by experts gave the material a score of 91% (very valid) and media 87% (very valid), while the practicality test based on student questionnaires reached 85% (practical). N-gain analysis of 0.82 (high category) shows that this E-Booklet effectively improves students' learning outcomes on the Kingdom Fungi material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of interactive flipbook media as learning media, determine student responses to interactive flipbook media with the STM (Science Technology Society) approach and improve student learning outcomes in learning biology, especially on genetic mutation material. This research is using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). his research was conducted at Baitul Arqom High School, Jember City, involving 25 students of class XII as subjects. The research design used was one-group pretest-posttest using an instrument in the form of 20 multiple choice questions to assess the improvement of learning outcomes to determine the difference in learning outcomes before and after the use of media. The media feasibility assessment was conducted by three experts, consisting of two biology education lecturers and one biology teacher. Meanwhile, students' responses to the learning media were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the feasibility by material expert validators is 80%, media experts are 82%, and practitioner experts are 81% with an average percentage of 81% very feasible. Student responses to interactive flipbook media with the Science Technology Society (STM) approach scored 87% responded positively with a good category. The trial results showed an increase in student learning outcomes with an average N-Gain of 0.76, which is classified in the high category, as well as a normal distribution of N-Gain data. Overall, it can be concluded that the development of interactive flipbook media based on the Science Technology Society (STM) approach received a good response as learning media and proved effective in improving student learning outcomes, so it is feasible to use in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the use of animated video learning media in the Natural Sciences subject for Grade IX students at SMP Negeri 4 Glenmore. The background of this research is the low student learning outcomes and the limited availability of learning media at school, which affects students' learning interest. This research employs Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is carried out in two cycles and consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 28 Grade IX students of SMP Negeri 4 Glenmore. Data collection techniques were conducted through learning outcome tests, including pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the study show that the use of animated video media can improve student learning outcomes in each cycle, with a pre-cycle average score of 70.53 and a mastery percentage of 43%, which increased in the first cycle to an average of 81.60 and a mastery percentage of 68%, and further increased in the second cycle to an average of 91.25 and a mastery percentage of 96%. Thus, animated video learning media are effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Project Based Learning model integrated with the Merdeka Curriculum on the learning outcomes of Grade X students in Biotechnology material at SMK Islam Al-Azhar Jember. The study employed a quasi-experimental approach with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 34 students who were given pretests and posttests to measure their biotechnology learning outcomes, using a learning outcome test as the instrument. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of the Project Based Learning model integrated with the Merdeka Curriculum, with the experimental group achieving a posttest average score of 89.73, compared to 76.21 in the control group. The N-Gain score for the experimental group reached 0.73 (73%), which is categorized as high, while the control group scored 0.56 (56%). A t-test indicated a significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.000 < 0.05). These findings indicate that the Project Based Learning model integrated with the Merdeka Curriculum is proven to be effective in improving Biotechnology learning outcomes.
