Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the form of illocutionary speech used by Fiersa Besari in the social media Youtube. This study uses a descriptive method to achieve research objectives following the problem under study. This research with a qualitative approach uses the descriptive method. The data source used is the video in the “Episode of a Journal” playlist on the Fiersa Besari Youtube social media. This research data are fragments of words or sentences included in the type of illocutionary speech act. Based on the study results, it can be conveyed that the analysis of Fiersa Besari’s illocutionary speech acts in the “Episode of a Journal” playlist on Youtube social media serves to make the result of the illocutionary speech acts found in the video even better. The use of illocutionary speech acts in Fiersa Besari’s video in the “Episode of a Journal” playlist found four types of speech acts: assertive speech acts, directive speech acts, expressive speech acts, and commissive speech acts. The most common speech acts, while the least found, were commissive speech acts.

Abstract

Problem of this research is rise of violent cases that occurred in the community, and this news is widely published in social media, one of them is Posmetro Padang. This research aims to describe the analysis of violent news discourse on Padang Posmetro. This type of research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. The data source of this research is Padang Posmetro, which was published from January 2020 to November 2020. The data in this study were violent news posted by Posmetro Padang. Data is collected, then read and recording techniques. The results of data analysis show that, first, text structure. The text can explain in terms of headlines. The headlines are well emphasized, such as describing the news's setting, details, and content as a whole text. Second, view the location, situation, events, and social conditions. Third. Social Context News about violence has often appeared every year. The growing discourse in the people of West Sumatra regarding the news of violence varies. Many elements are involved in this issue, so the form of the information also goes in terms of sides. In addition, this problem that often arises makes West Sumatra people more introspective. As a complete analysis of discourse on news of violence, it can be seen that the public must be alert to any crime that is happening at this time.

Abstract

This research is motivated by comments on vaccination circulars uploaded to the Instagram account @InfoSumbar so that it can be seen from the expressiveness of language conveyed by speakers in the comments column through their language acts which use a lot of expressive speech acts. This research will be discussed in a pragmatic study, where expressive speech acts are conveyed through the Instagram comment column, which is seen from the speech delivered by the speaker according to his thoughts. This approach examines expressive speech acts that are motivated by expressing one's feelings when one wants to convey their thoughts. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. The data in this study are expressive speech acts in the comments column of the Covid-19 vaccination circular for school children on the Instagram account @InfoSumbar in the form of sentences and words. The data source used is the posting of circulars on Instagram @InfoSumbar. Data were collected by listening and note-taking techniques. The data were analyzed by the distribution method. Based on the study's results, it was found in the speech in the comment column of the Covid-19 vaccination circular for school children on the @InfoSumbar Instagram account. Was used as a data source; there were four forms of action, namely speech acts of difficulty, joy, hatred, and misery.

Abstract

This article explores the complexity of the relationship between language and sexual violence in the context of social media in Indonesia. This research investigates gender and sexuality ideologies that permeate digital texts, creating space for the normalization and spread of sexual violence. Through in-depth analysis of various social media platforms, this article explores the impact of language on society's views on gender and sexuality, raising critical questions about the urgency of preventive and educational action to combat sexual violence in the digital realm.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the ability to write anecdotal texts using image media of grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Gumanti Valley. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The population of this study was grade X students of SMA N 1 Lembah Gumanti, Solok Regency. The sample of this study was class XE8 students totaling 33 students. The data collection technique in this study was carried out in 1 meeting. The data in this study is the performance score of the ability to write anecdotal texts of grade X students of SMA N 1 Gumanti Valley by Using Image Media. In analyzing the data is done in several steps, First, reading the results of students' work writing anecdotal texts. Second, correct and give scores according to the aspects studied. Third, scoring students' work based on the aspects studied. Based on the data, it can be seen that the ability to write anecdotal texts using Image Media of grade X students of SMA N 1 Gumanti Valley as a whole is classified as Sufficient (C) with an average of 53.79.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas X Fase E SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang melalui model konstruktivis berbantuan media audio visual berupa film pendek. Masalah yang mendasari kegiatan ini adalah masih rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menulis puisi, terutama dalam hal menemukan tema, memilih diksi, serta menyusun larik dan bait secara padu. Selain itu, siswa juga belum terlatih untuk menulis puisi berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi sebagai sumber ide dan pengembangan tema. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 17 Januari 2025 dan melibatkan dua dosen, satu mahasiswa, dan tiga puluh siswa kelas X Fase E. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri atas ceramah interaktif, pemutaran film pendek, diskusi tematik, serta praktik menulis puisi secara bertahap dengan bimbingan langsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan minat dan keberanian siswa dalam menulis puisi, serta perbaikan signifikan dalam struktur dan kualitas puisi yang dihasilkan. Dengan demikian, pendekatan konstruktivis berbantuan media audio visual terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa sekolah menengah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the character values of a special relationship with God depicted in the novel "Sehidup Sesurga Denganmu" by Asma Nadia. This novel was chosen because it presents a strong female main character, Dyah, who represents moral and spiritual values in everyday life. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative with a content analysis approach. The data in this study consisted of quotations reflecting the attitudes, statements, and actions of Dyah that are relevant to the character's values. The results show that the value of a special relationship with God reflects the solemnity of Dyah's relationship with God. These values are not only demonstrated through the narrative but also through the conflicts and resolutions faced by the main character. This study concludes that literary works can be an effective tool in character education, particularly in shaping students' understanding of life values. By presenting an inspirational figure like Dyah, this novel is able to internalize moral messages in a touching and profound way. This research also contributes to the development of literature-based character literacy in educational settings.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengajarkan siswa membaca teks berita. Kegiatan pelatihan teknik membaca berita diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu program pengembangan keterampilan membaca berita di SMP di Kecamatan Nanggalo Kota Padang. Program pelatihan ini diadakan selama dua hari dilokasi tersebut. Para guru dilatih untuk membaca berita mengunakan intonasi dan artikulasi yang jelas dan lancer. Diakhir pelatihan para guru diminta untuk membaca berita secara individu didepan temannya secara begiliran. Sedangkan bagi guru yang belum mendapatkan giliran dibimbing dan dilatih oleh tim pengabdi dalam membaca teks berita. Kegiatan tersebut peserta mengikuti sangat antusias dan berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan membaca berita dan menumbuhkan keterampilan berbicara di depan umum. Kegiatan ini membantu guru dalam meningkatkan keteranpilan membaca berita yang akan berdampak pada peningkatan kemampuan membaca dan berbicara siswa serta akan mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan modul ajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan konflik sosial realistis dan nonrealistis dalam naskah Senja Dengan Dua Kematian karya Kirdjomuljo. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada bentuk Konflik Sosial Dalam Naskah Drama Senja Dengan Dua Kematian Karya Kirdjomuljo: Tinjauan Sosiologi Sastra Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata-kata, kalimat dan dialog yang terdapat konflik sosial dalam naskah drama Senja Dengan Dua Kematian karya Kirdjomuljo. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, (1) membaca dan memahami naskah drama Senja Dengan Dua Kematian karya Kirdjomuljo, (2) mencatat dan menandai data-data yang berhubungan dengan konflik sosial dalam naskah drama Senja Dengan Dua Kematian karya Kirdjomuljo, (3) mengklasifikasikan data yang berhubungan dengan konflik sosial dalam naskah drama Senja Dengan Dua Kematian karya Kirdjomuljo. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 30 kutipan data konflik sosial yang ditemukan dalam Naskah Drama Senja Dengan Dua Kematian Karya Kirdjomuljo, yaitu 2 kutipan data konflik sosial realistis hostile feeling, 18 data kutipan konflik sosial realistis hostile behaviour, dan 10 kutipan data konflik sosial nonrealistis dalam Naskah Drama Senja Dengan Dua Kematian Karya Kirdjomuljo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat permainan tradisional pada era modern di Nagari Maek. Hal ini didasari oleh berkembang pesatnya teknologi hingga mempengaruhi permainan tradisional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif analisis. Metode deskriptif analisis adalah suatu metode yang mendeskripsikan atau memberikan gambaran terkait objek yang diteliti melalui data atau sampel yang berlaku untuk umum. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa permainan tradisional masih bertahan di Nagari Maek, diantaranya panjat pinang, lompat karung, tarik tambang, ABC ada berapa, badia batuang, gasing, injit-injit semut, kelereng, congklak, mancik-mancik, gambar-gambar, kuciang-kuciang, layang-layang, polok, parok tarompa, dan main tali. Permainan tradisional memiliki dua sifat yaitu bermain dan bertanding. Permainan bermain di Nagari Maek lebih dominan dibandingkan permainan bertanding. Pada era modern ini, permainan tradisional di Nagari Maek juga telah mengalami beberapa perubahan. Perubahan tersebut meliputi alat bermain, cara bermain, dan aturan bermain. Perubahan itu terjadi karena permainan mengalami penyesuaian dengan perkembangan zaman.
