Abstract

Evaluation of Principal's Leadership Role in Improving Teacher's motivation at Yayasan Al Hidayah Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta. Thesis. Educational Administration Study Program. School of Postgraduate Study University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. HAMKA. August 2016. The purpose of this research was to obtain information and evaluate the effectiveness of Principal's Leadership Role at Junior High School and Vocational High School Al Hidayah in increasing motivation and expected to contribute in running the leadership wheel of the principal. The method used is a qualitative method with a discrepancy evaluation model (DEM). The approach used is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and FGD (forum group discussion). The results of this evaluation concluded that the Principal's Leadership Role had not run in accordance with the principal's leadership standards in carrying out its role. Many aspects and focus of evaluation require improvement and improvement to achieve maximum results in terms of Principal’s Leadership Role in carrying out its roles and functions. This research recommends to all parties involved to optimize the leadership role of the head of the school in carrying out their duties and functions optimally for the progress of the school or foundation.

Abstract

Penerapan program mentoring biasanya berlangsung secara luring pada kelompok kecil namun karena wabah Covid-19 menyebabkan penerapan pendidikan karakter pada  program mentoring harus dilangsungkan secara daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan evaluasi program mentoring secara daring dalam menunjang implementasi pendidikan karakter di SDIT pada kelas-kelas awal. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan model evaluasi CIPP untuk mengetahui: Sejauh mana program mentoring pendidikan karakter sesuai dengan kebutuhan pendidikan peserta didik dengan menggunakan model Stufflebeam pada komponen konteks, input, proses, dan produk. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian yaitu Pengurus Yayasan, Kepala Sekolah, perwakilan guru, perwakilan orang tua, peserta didik, dan pengurus JSIT Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa: Pelaksanaan program mentoring sebagai implementasi pendidikan karakter dilaksanakan dengan baik oleh semua komponen yang ada di lingkungan sekolah, baik itu pendidik maupun peserta didik dan didukung oleh lingkungan luar sekolah seperti orang tua, masyarakat dan media yang turut mendukung pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter, adapun kendala dalam pelaksanaan program mentoring sebagai implementasi pendidikan karakter secara daring adalah penggunaan teknologi yang saat ini memiliki efek kurang baik, yaitu game online, media sosial, dan tayangan televisi yang kurang mendidik.

Abstract

Implementasi dan keberhasilan dari Program Seven Habits with Sunnah dalam Menunjang Pendidikan Karakter di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu, serta mengevaluasi agar mendapatkan hasil program yang optimal dalam suatu kegiatan sekolah dan membentuk karakter peserta didik sesuai sunnah yang diajarkan Rasulullah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan model CIPP yang meliputi Contex, Input, Process dan Product. Berdasarkan hasil temuan konteks, dokumentasi menunjukkan program seven habits with sunnah dalam menunjang pendidikan karakter memiliki landasan hukum dan tujuan cukup sesuai dengan visi, misi dan standar kelulusan sekolah. Hasil temuan produk, kuisioner dari delapan puluh siswa, nilai F yang signifikan menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya program seven habits with sunnah dalam menunjang pendidikan karakter berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap tingkat pelaksanaan kebiasaan positif.

Abstract

Parental involvement in the educational process has a positive significance for educational outcomes, including in the educational process in inclusive schools. Understanding the forms of parental involvement in the inclusive school education process will help provide the best way for children with special needs in their educational success. The purpose of this study was to analyze the form of parental involvement in the education of children with special needs in inclusive schools. The research uses a qualitative approach. Data was collected by interview, documentation, and observation methods. The interactive qualitative analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model which consists of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing is used in the research. The results showed that there are various forms of parental involvement, including acting as models of behaviour, ethics, and independence (parental modelling), giving reinforcement when a willingness to learn appears in children (parental reinforcement), and giving encouragement/stimulant so that children's cognitive abilities develop (parental encouragement). Parental involvement can foster internal motivation and self-regulation strategies in children.

Abstract

Background: Kecamatan Paku Haji merupakan kecamatan di Kabupaten Tangerang sebagai lokasi yang berada di daerah pesisir. Kecamatan Paku Haji memiliki berbagai ancaman bencana alam dan dampak bencana semakin besar akibat kemiskinan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dan siswa dengan bekerjasama dengan Kelompok Kegiatan kepala Sekolah (K3S) Kecamatan Pakuhaji. Metode: Kegiatan terdiri dari beberapa rangkaian, diantaranya seminar, workshop berbasis project base learning untuk membuat media ajar yang menarik untuk siswa, pendampingan dan pengaplikasian media ajar edukasi bencana kepada siswa di sekolah masing-masing guru dan pemberian simulasi bencana pada siswa. Hasil: Setelah kegiatan dilakukan, guru meunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru dan siswa sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Paku Haji dalam mitigasi bencana. Untuk sampai pada kondisi siap menghadapi bencana, masih banyak hal yang perlu dilakukan, seperti mengelola sampah dan edukasi tentang perubahan iklim. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan kegiatan yang dilakukan guru mendapatkan pemahaman baru tentang bencana, bahwa bencana dapat diminimalisir dampak kerugian dan kerusakanya, serta siswa mengetahui respon yang tepat saat bencana datang.

Abstract

The literacy ability of Indonesian students is still in the low category, this is proven by the learning process so far not yet at the stage of acquiring knowledge, students adapting to students' desires in learning to acquire knowledge. Another thing is that the learning model still lacks the use of learning models in increasing students' literacy to become a habit in students' daily lives. The School Literacy Movement is an educational ecosystem that was formed with efforts to involve students, teachers, school principals, parents and local communities. So a collection of books is needed that integrates material with the surrounding environmental conditions to attract students' attention in reading, so that students' literacy can improve well. The community service methods used are in the form of training, mentoring carried out face-to-face through lectures and practice and distribution of interviews and observations. Participants in this activity were students of SDN Pulau Pari 01 Pagi. Service is carried out in several stages including planning, implementation, evaluation and mentoring. Data collection techniques are carried out through field observations, documentation, interviews and observations. The results obtained showed that students were able to understand reading after carrying out reading training using the reading aloud technique for 15 minutes.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of integrating popular culture elements such as music, film, and social media on language acquisition and overall student learning. Through surveys and questionnaires, the study examines students' perceptions of pop culture's role in their educational journey. A survey was conducted with 36 pre-service teachers at a private university in Jakarta to support this research. A descriptive statistical analysis of the data is conducted to identify trends and patterns in learner experiences.This study argues that popular culture, with its wealth of authentic materials, can serve as a valuable tool for effective teaching and learning for pre-service teachers in the EFL context. While recognizing the potential benefits of increased engagement and cultural understanding, the research also addresses challenges like limited vocabulary exposure and the need for careful material selection. Ultimately, this study aims to promote the effective integration of popular culture into EFL Academic Speaking and Writing classrooms by identifying best practices and addressing the diverse needs of learners. The findings of this study have the potential to further motivate pre-service teachers to engage in English language teaching and learning, as well as enhance their communicative and socio-cultural competence.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality saat ini menjadi sebuah keniscayaan teknologi yang dapat memotivasi peserta didik untuk mampu menstimulasi daya pikir mereka dengan mengunakan pengetahuan yang sudah mereka pelajari di dunia nyata. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru sekolah dasar mengenai pentingnya media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang dikhususkan pada Augmented Reality (AR) dalam proses pembelajaran di tingkat sekolah dasar. Metode: Ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi, dan simulasi. Hasil: Para guru untuk mempelajari lebih dalam lagi mengenai AR dan aplikasi teknologi lainnya untuk mengembangkan kemampuan mereka dalam literasi teknologi. Kesimpulan: Kebutuhan akan model pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, seperti misalnya AR menjadi sebuah tantangan baru bagi pendidikan saat ini. Oleh karenanya itu, para guru perlu dilatih untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknologinya yang bertujuan untuk kualitas pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

The focus of this study is to develop a school digitalization program design through In-House Training (IHT) to improve educational services in Bintaro 12 State Elementary School. The hypotheses tested are 1) developing a school digitalization program design through In-House Training 2) testing the feasibility of the school digitalization program stages through In-House Training. Further, the study is conducted due to the need for school digitalization acceleration program which launched by the Ministry of Education and Technology, the data from supervision of school principals, the impact of teaching and learning after the pandemic, as well as social changes on students. Based on this situation, this study is designed to develop a school digitalization program through In-House Training for teachers in Bintaro 12 State Elementary School to improve educational services. This study implemented Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall model. Data collection techniques were observation and questionnaires with survey methods. Data was collected through three instruments, namely material expert validation data, media expert validation and teacher trainer validation using the Guttman scale. The validation test to determine the effectiveness of the program was tested on students using a Likert Scale. The results of the material expert test regarding the IHT stages as a whole are 93.52% (very decent) while the results of the media expert test regarding the Quizizz and Canva application stages are 100% (very decent) and 77.78% (decent). For the results of the effectiveness of the program design on students, the score is 70.95%, which means it is in the good category. The results of this research were carried out six times by IHT. The final product developed can be used as a school digitalization program design through In-House Training to improve educational services and can also be a training reference for schools.
