This paper aims to understand and analyze the handling and treatment and treatment of Covid-19 in Indonesia according to traditional healing practitioners in Java. The spread of the Covid-19 virus has hit Indonesia since March 2020. The spread of the Covid-19 virus is very troubling, and even inhibits and totally paralyzes all community activities, ranging from the economy, education to work, and others. This study uses qualitative methods and field observations in the form of conducting in-person interviews with several healing practitioners in Java, especially in Yogyakarta related to their views or perspectives on the virus and Covid-19 drugs. The results showed that traditional healing practitioners in Java used several herbs that they thought were able to overcome or be used as Covid-19 drugs. The herb is in the form of spices, plants, and some folk remedies from the ancestors. They are trying to offer a cure for Covid-19 by returning to back to nature. In addition, they also try to rationalize the pain that occurs when the human body's immunity decreases or energy is unbalanced, is the result of violations of natural laws by humans themselves.

Abstract

The fast-paced development of technology has made it a necessity in society. Without exception, social media, especially for Generation Z always depends on a variety of social media. This development extends to the religious world, namely making some social media as contemporary da'wah media. In the period of time, the shift of da'wah in electronic media occurred in the 2000s, namely through radio, television, and other media. This research uses the netnography method, which looks at the consumptive culture based on cyberspace or online. In this research search, a variety of social media are popular among Generation Z, such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The content of Instagram @halimahalaydrus, for example, can be seen as the account only presents religious sentences and images that relate to today's society. This also happens in TikTok, bringing up pieces of videos about contemporary da'wah such as that performed by Gus Iqdam in account @Gus Iqdam Official. Some of these views show da'wah in a contemporary way by utilizing popular social media.

Abstract

Mosques are central institutions in Muslim life, and have traditionally focused on religious aspects. However, in the context of an increasingly complex modern society, the role of mosques has evolved to encompass various dimensions of life, including religious literacy. This article aims to conduct a sociological analysis of the literacy movement at the Jendral Sudirman Mosque in Yogyakarta, considering the shifting role of mosques in supporting religious literacy. Through a qualitative approach involving interviews and direct observation, this study explores how the Jendral Sudirman Mosque facilitates literacy programs that not only meet religious needs but also open doors for academic learning. The findings show that the mosque has adopted an academically structured approach in presenting literacy materials, which has successfully attracted the attention of not only parents but also the younger generation, especially students. A sociological analysis was conducted to understand the social, political, and cultural context surrounding the literacy movement at the Jendral Sudirman Mosque. The article reveals that this literacy movement is not an isolated phenomenon but a response to existing social and religious dynamics. In addition, it highlights the important role of the mosque's takmir in leading and driving the literacy initiative as well as bridging the relationship between the mosque and its community. This article makes an important contribution to understanding the evolution of the role of mosques in modern society, particularly in the context of religious literacy. The practical implications of this study are also discussed, including its relevance in guiding the development of literacy programs in other mosques and strengthening the role of mosques as holistic community learning centres.

Abstract

This paper examines how the partnership was established between the Sleman Government and the peasant group of Tri Tunggal in Wonorejo—a policy appropriate partnership. It is known that the perceived policy sometimes turns things around with what is in the field or the right target regulations according to the needs of the community. This article is based on two theories, top-down policies and social capital as a form of organizing peasant groups. In answering the question, in fact, this article is an extension of the design of a qualitative research model that describes, analyzes, and interprets field data in a narrative way. For that, the method of interviewing, observation, and documentation is chosen to complete the data until it can be interpreted into the new meaning of science. Thus, this research has produced some interesting findings, such as government partnership to peasant group of Tri Tunggal with the approach of counseling, mentoring, and marketing of the agricultural product. As a matter of fact, the regulation is a reference for the government in empowering peasant groups.

Abstract

Environmental issues have become a major concern in recent years. In fact, the impact that is always felt is the widespread pollution, the problem of waste that is increasingly accumulating until the closure of several landfills (TPA) in Indonesia. This paper tries to reopen our insight into environmental concerns in the concept of Seyyed Hossein Nasr. The research method used is qualitative based on library research with descriptive analysis. This paper also discusses how religion-society relations and environmental concerns become social actions that should be of common concern. It focuses on our understanding of environmental care as God's creatures who maintain stability between nature and life. Khalifah, as the basis of Seyyed Hossein Nasr's perspective, is a task that should be carried out by every human being. But in reality, attention to the environment is secondary in life, so that the impact felt today is extreme climate change and increased pollution.
