Abstract

Abstract, Batik activity includes techniques to decorate fabrics with certain motifs, as a medium of expression, education and contemplation for batik maker. The resulting products can be called works of art because batik maker dominate the concepts and ideas being visualized. Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) nationally during the pandemic caused psychological problems, namely saturation, because people were restricted from doing activities as a way to reduce the increase in the number of Covid-19 sufferers. The problem of boredom is also experienced by a batik maker from Girilayu, one of the women batik maker in Girilayu named Yuliasih, who has changed her perspective on making batik to eliminate boredom. Batik activity was originally positioned as a routine, by Yuliasih turned into a medium of expression during the pandemic. This study aims to determine Yuliasih's background in using batik as a medium of expression during the pandemic and the creative process that Yuliasih undertakes in her work. This research is qualitative descriptive with data collection methods using direct field observation to the location, namely Wahyu Asih's batik house, in-depth interviews with Yuliasih and community leaders in Girilayu and literature study. The analysis used triangulation in order to obtain data validity. The results of this study indicate that in addition to saturation, economic and cultural background is a consideration for Yuliasih to make batik as a medium of expression just like painting. Make batik is Yuliasih’s way to pour her expression and calming herself during pandemic

Abstract

UMKM di Indonesia mampu berkontribusi menyumbang Produk Domestik Bruto maupun penyerapan tenaga kerja dalam berbagai kondisi perekonomian bangsa. Namun, pandemi Covid 19 memberikan dampak yang cukup signifikan pada UMKM karena daya beli masyarakat menurun sebagai akibat lesunya perekonomian dan banyaknya pengangguran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji fenomena ditengah banyaknya UMKM mengalami penurunan omset dan kebangkrutan, masih ada UMKM yang bertahan dan berkembang ditengah-tengah serangan Covid 19” bahkan bertahan pada tatanan kehidupan baru (new normal) untuk dijadikan motivasi UMKM lain ditengah tatanan kehidupan baru tersebut. Guna kajian tersebut peneliti melakukan kajian pada salah satu UMKM olahan pangan yang mampu bertahan mekispun terdampak covid 19, yaitu UMKM Gethuk Take berada di wilayah Kecamatan Tawangmawu Kabupaten Karanganyar. Penelitian merupakan penelitian kualitatif, dengan metode analisis menggunakan bisnis model canvas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dampak pandemi Covid 19 secara telah menurunkan omset penjualannya karena basis konsumennya adalah para wisatawan, namun meski demikian UMKM Gethuk Take masih bisa bertahan dengan berbagai tindakan penyesuaian sebagai berikut : 1. Strategi inovasi produk dan pasar yang merupakan kunci keberhasilan untuk bertahan dan berkembang dalam masa pandemi seyogyanya tetap dilakukan dalam kondisi apapun, karena inovasi diharapkan akan menarik perhatian kepada konsumen yang loyal maupun calon konsumen baru. 2. Selain itu model bisnis berbasis digital dalam pemasaran dan keuangan sebaiknya secara gradual dijalankan agar bisnis dapat dilakukan dengan baik, tetap sehat pelakunya dan usaha terus dapat berkembang di era digitalisasi yang semakin cepat mendorong perubahan-perubahan perilaku konsumen.Kata Kunci :     Covid 19, Model Bisnis Canvas, UMKM Gethuk Take.

Abstract

Since 2020, the Karanganyar Regency Government has proclaimed Girilayu Village as a tourist village and the Giriarum Batik MSMEs have produced batik tulis products that are the pride of the community. The existing problems are related: tourism village branding and Girilayu-style batik products have not been identified; the tourism village management program and its unique products already exist, but have not been carried out massively and integrated; Batik Giriarum MSMEs batik tulis products already have a clear market segmentation, but digital marketing and information technology have not been fully utilized. BUMDes, Pokdarwis, Girilayu Village Government, and MSMEs Batik Giriarum are aware of the existing problems and their solutions but have not been able to implement the program properly. This community service aims to: 1) Increase understanding of branding, information technology, and digital marketing; 2) Improve skills and knowledge about the management of tourist villages and their unique products; and 3) Improve local potential management capacity. The method used to achieve the goal are participatory-based community service activities involving all stakeholders in the planning and implementation. Activities are designed and implemented in a comprehensive and integrated manner as a solution to problems so that the Village Government, BUMDes, Pokdarwis, and the Batik Giriarum MSMEs are motivated and concerned about their role as agents of change for the development of the Girilayu Tourism Village. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the batik-making community and the management of the Girilayu Tourism Village, including: 1) Giriarum Batik MSMEs understand and contribute to the design of the brand identity of the Girilayu Batik Tourism Village; 2) BUMDes and Pokdarwis HR insights and skills in managing local potential are growing; and 3) Active promotion of MSMEs Batik Giriarum batik products and tourist villages through social media.

Abstract

Penciptaan karya lukis ini sebagai bentuk ekspresi diri penulis dalam mengungkapkan emosi dan perasaan yang pernah terjadi dan dirasakan. Metode yang digunakan merupakan metode penciptaan yaitu eksplorasi, implementasi dan visualisasi. Eksplorasi memuat proses pencarian ide dengan eksplorasi pengalaman pribadi dan tambahan informasi dari internet maupun buku dan jurnal. Dilanjutkan dengan pengembangan ide yang didapatkan menjadi suatu konsep karya seni rupa berupa lukisan. Visualisasi dari ide yang dikembangkan menjadi konsep karya dibuat menjadi lukisan dengan melalui berbagai proses, mulai dari pembuatan sketsa, pewarnaan dan finishing. Hasil dari ide dan eksplorasi mengenai topik yang dipilih, menghasilkan karya seni rupa dua dimensi berupa lukisan, dengan media kanvas berukuran 100x100 cm dan pewarnaan menggunakan cat akrilik. Karya memvisualisasikan ekspresi diri ketika merasakan kesedihan dengan menggunakan kura-kura sebagai analogi diri. Penciptaan karya seni lukis ini diharapkan dapat memberi inspirasi mengenai lukisan bertema serupa.

Abstract

Synesthesia is a phenomenon where the human senses can receive data and turn it into a stimulation to certain sensory, but indirectly the stimulation can trigger other stimulation. Chromesthesia is one of the branches of Synesthesia, Chromesthesia is a phenomenon where humans can associate colors to a sound that is heard, Wassily Kandinsky is one of the humans blessed with this advantage. This research aims to dissect Wassily Kandinsky's work on melody and color. As one of the humans blessed with Chromesthesia, whether his works are strongly influenced by this advantage. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data will be presented taken from observations of Wassily Kandinsky's works. It was found that some of Wassily Kandinsky's works entitled Composition VIII were created after he watched Wagner's opera “Lohengrin” performed at the Bolshoi Theater in 1896. His works were based on the melodies he heard while watching the opera, Wassily Kandinsky felt the colors as he listened to the music presented in the opera.

Abstract

Traditional culture is often considered outdated in the face of modernization, yet the presence of gugon tuhon in the oral traditions of the Javanese people indicates that local values still hold strong relevance in social life. As a form of local wisdom, gugon tuhon contains various prohibitions and moral messages that have been passed down through generations in the Tulungagung community, serving to protect safety and honor nature and supernatural entities. The prohibition of playing in the river at certain times is one example of gugon tuhon functioning as informal education about safety and harmony with the environment. This study examines the role of visual art as a means of cultural preservation, particularly through the work titled "Playing in the Brantas River." Using a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, the study collects data through interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis results show that the visualization of gugon tuhon through painting not only functions as a medium of expression but also as an educational tool for younger generations. This painting presents cultural symbols that remind us of the importance of preserving local wisdom amidst rapid social change.

Abstract

Girilayu Batik as one of the leading creative industries in Karanganyar Regency has currently experienced quite rapid progress. Several studies and community service activities in an effort to increase product capacity and quality have been carried out, but along with the increasingly tight competition in the fashion market, product diversification is still needed to be adjusted to the functions and trends that are currently developing. The motifs and functions of batik products in Girilayu are considered to need development in order to reach the market from a different side. This community service activity is an effort to open up wider batik market opportunities. The purpose of this activity is so that creative batik industry players in the Giriarum Batik Group, Girilayu Village, are able to create batik motifs for fashion and home décor which are currently starting to be popular. The method used to achieve this goal is in the form of training and mentoring in exploring creative ideas and creating batik motifs that are in accordance with the tastes of potential consumers. Training and mentoring for batik product diversification which will be carried out supported by the technical skills already possessed by batik craftsmen in the Giriarum Batik Group will be able to create products that are in demand by consumers. Fashion products other than clothes and fabrics as well as home décor products will differentiate batik competitors, so that market opportunities are wide open.

Abstract

Sudjana Kerton merupakan seniman yang sering menggambarkan tentang kehidupan sosial, dengan gaya ekspresif yang khas dan deformatif. Kehidupan sosial pada masyarakat desa sering digambarkan dengan suasana yang masih tradisional dalam aktivitasnya. Satu diantara karya lukisannya yang akan di teliti dalam penelitian ini berjudul “Kehidupan Desa”. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan teknik studi pustaka dan penelusuran data online. Analisis ini menggunakan teori semiotika ferdinand de saussure untuk mengkaji tanda dan makna dalam karya lukisnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah elemen-elemen visual dalam lukisan seperti warna, objek, dan bentuk sebagai penanda (signifer). Serta untuk memahami makna yang terkandung didalamnya sebagai petanda (signified). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa simbol-simbol dalam lukisan “Kehidupan Desa” merepresentasikan nilai-nilai sosial dan budaya masyarakat desa di Indonesia, serta mengandung pesan bahwa mempertahankan identitas budaya di tengah perubahan zaman sangat penting. Penelitian ini memiliki peran dalam memahami karya lukis sebagai perwujudan kehidupan masyarakat desa melalui pendekatan semiotika.
