Abstract

Mathematics is a branch of knowledge that is essential for all people in the world to know. Because in daily life, one cannot escape from things related to numbers. Determining time is also included in the field of mathematics. Currency is also one of the topics included in mathematics learning materials. Researchers have the goal of determining the learning outcomes of addition and subtraction for first-grade students at Ngrimbi 2 Elementary School before and after using bead media. To determine if there is a difference in the influence of bead media on mathematics learning for first-grade students at Ngrimbi 2 Elementary School. Researchers designed the study using a quantitative method with a Pre-experimental design type of research called One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. By obtaining accurate data from students who have not received treatment and after receiving treatment. The results of this study in the pre-test showed that the average score of the group was 57.65. However, the group showed a different average after receiving treatment with an average group score of 76.4. Meanwhile, in the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test table, both pretest and posttest data show that the p-value > α = 0.05, indicating a normal distribution. In the Paired Samples t-test, there is a difference in the average between pretest and posttest of -5.784. Additionally, the significant value (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.005, indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest results.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the lack of motivation to learn in class V students at SDN Japanan II Gudo. The aim of this research is to determine whether there is an influence of parental education level on the learning motivation of class V students at SDN Japanan II Gudo Jombang. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. This research was conducted at SDN Japanan II, Gudo District, Jombang Regency with the sample used being twenty-seven fifth grade students. The data collection method used in this research was questionnaires and documentation. The result of the research show that there is a moderate influence between the level of parental education on students learning motivation. In other words, the level of parental education has a contribution to the parents, the higher the student’s learning motivation. Vice versa, the lower the parent’s education level, the lower the student’s learning motivation.

Abstract

Science learning on history material, especially about kingdoms in the Indonesian archipelago, still shows a gap between the philosophical objectives of the curriculum and its implementation in the classroom. One effort to improve student learning outcomes is to implement the Cooperative Learning model supported by interactive PowerPoint. This study aims to test the effect of the use of this media-assisted model on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students on the material of kingdoms in the Indonesian archipelago. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group. The research sample consisted of 47 students and was taken through a total sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out through descriptive statistics, the N-Gain test, and inferential analysis. The test results showed a significance value <0.001 which is smaller than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the application of the Cooperative Learning model assisted by interactive PowerPoint has a significant effect in improving student learning outcomes in science learning on the material of kingdoms in the Indonesian archipelago.
